Hi all, I am currently using the Galaxy Note 2, and the HTC One X.
I want to switch to something with a full qwerty keyboard.
I am considering in order:
1. Blackberry Torch
2. Blackberry Bold 9900
3. Sony Xperia Mini Pro
4. Sony Xperia Pro
5. HP Pre 3
What do you guys think is the best choice? My reasons for choosing the BB Torch:
Good battery life
Great keyboard
Large enough screen for basic use
Supports: Whatsapp, Facebook, SMS/Call, Google Maps, basic functions.
Although, the trouble of using the phone without BIS leads me to a dilemma, I want to have Android, and have no troubles, but I also love the style of the BB Torch.

I'm curious, which smartphone would you choose among that devices? And Why?
I'd like to choose the iphone 3g s personally.
The WM OS would not be on my list this time.
and the iphone is better than the Palm Pre in
1. have video record function
2. more convenient text editing
3. various apps to choose
4. have a better look in my opinion
palm pre the webos looks nice and i wanna to see whats inside
After month of problems, unable to connect my X1 to my Pioneer headunit, I finally decided to sell it.
The question is now, which phone will be my next one?
I'm between the HTC Hero, the Nokia N97 and the Samsung Omnia HD. Important for my decision is a WinMo free device. The time I had my XDA Orbit and after that the X1 I learned to hate Windows Mobile.
Things used to like on my X1:
- QWERTY Keyboard
- the Multimedia/Internet capability
What I didn't like:
- the bluetooth incompatibility to my SatNav
- the working speed
- the limited internet experience (Browsing was not as good as I expected. Opera was slow and "sticky")
The advantage of the N97 is clearly the QWERTY keyboard. But the touchscreen is worse than the ones from Samsung and HTC I think, because it's resistive not capacitive. The Omnia HD has a brilliant AMOLED capacitive display, great for watching movies or doing any other multimedia stuff. The Hero has also a good capacitive touchsceen, an open OS with lots of tools to download and a intuitive user interface.
What I want:
- an easy to use UI which can be personalized
- a smooth and fast operation (I hate continous pressing on the screen until an App opens)
- bluetooth comatibility to my Pioneer Avic X3II (should be no problem, beacause only WinMo devices don't work properly)
- downloadable apps would be nice but not necessary
- a good internet browser and a good alround internet browsing speed as less limited as possible (in comparison to "real" surfing on a PC)
- flash compatibility would be cool
- last but not least: a speedy way to type messages. A full QWERTY keyboard would be the best solution, but typing messages on a very good touchscreen is also fine. On my iPod Touch I am pretty quick
If you have any ideas/recommends/suggestions please post them.
And if you know a device that fits better to my needs feel free to name them (except iPhone because it's way too expensive here in germany)
Greetings

Hi there
Just after a bit of help or reccommendations please. I want a pda/phone that has the following features:
Runs Windows (for live and messenger)
wifi
Runs office applications like exel etc so you can edit
Has a slide out qwerty keyboard (with or without touchscreen)
Has a camera and secondary camera (with flash would be ideal)
Possibly a radio although not relevant.
Something i can pick up on ebay for around £100 or cheaper!
I currently have an XDA Orbit which i adore, but want to upgrade and i know there are loads on the market now so need your help in choosing.
Thank you.
Either the Samsung B7610 or Htc touch pro 2
I would check out the HTC Rhodium TP2...
Yes!
Go for Rhodium!
Hi Vox-user,
maybe not the correct forum, but after one year Vox-fan and many visits here I like to ask you. My Vox numeric keypad sometimes makes trouble now, and I think it is time for a new mobile. I am thinking about change to Android, and I like to have a smal phone - so thze Xperia Pro looks good to me.
In the last year with my Vox and this Forum I was have often modified my phone - until it was so that I LIKE IT - Changiung ROMs, changing Startmenu, insatlling nice apps and so on.
And what do you think about Android - will it be okay for me? And how about normal using - Adressbook, Syncing with Outlook or Thunderbird, sending SMS and Emails, using Calendar etc......
And how about Experia Pro (or maybe without keypad)? The size is very interesting for me (don't like big phones like Iphone). has anybody experience with the phone?
regards Odiad
I know there is Blink (which doesn't really work that well on my Xperia Mini Pro), BUT it is missing one important feature-you can't set different color led for different contacts. Will there ever be such an app?
Not for Blackberry, for Android, Xperia Mini Pro to be exact. BB has this sort of application quite covered with Buzz.
