i want to root my tab funbook P275. i've tried many methods from this website but result in failure.
actually the tab doesn't even have the volume key therefore i want to know if there is any method to root it, as i want to install CWM.
plz help

there is a problem with its volume key man, if u know how can we navigate in recovery menu without volume key, tell me i know the rest.
What do you mean,there's no volume key?I've used the Funbook before,there is one.

dude i m talkin abt funbook P275, u can google it, it doesn't have volume key and back button that's why i can't navigate in recovery menu.
Sorry,my mistake.Have you tried checking whether there's a CWM touch recovery?Is the recovery meant for your device?

yup i searched for touch recovery also but it does not support my tab.
i m so much frustrated don no wat to do with this tab

well, for starters, you can do what other millions are doing.
regarding your research arun, did you find that it can install cyanbook or jetmod, or any other ployer9 based rom?

man i searched but all these are kinda flashable and u know i can't flash rom as i don't have volume keys......

U can ask varun chitre who had prepared a rom for the original funbook

u r right funbook has many models and all of them have volume keys except one, funbook infinity p275, its the latest edition of funbook.
maybe, just maybe, we can change usr\keylayout\generic.kpl and other key layout files there to mod the home button into volume down button.
astro can access these files(afaik root explorer cant)
go on, pitch this idea to developers.

I've developed a little application that should work in all MTK phones that have separate led for lighting the buttons.
How to use:
Simply install the application, open it and test that LED works (by clicking the ON, OFF buttons, it will ask for ROOT permissions), once you know it works, you need to activate the Accessibility Service to let the application catch the incoming notifications.

If your phone doesn't have a separate led for notifications, this app lets you use the buttons' led to show notifications.

Just try it, I can't test it on all the phones... I'll make a button to send reports to be able to increase the compatibility list.

Please make sure to download again and update the app, as the previous one has a bug that request currently root permissions (although I though that I've fixed it in 0.2 version it still was there, I've updated the file with the fixed version).
Updated with flashing function (not very precise flashing, but is to save battery... I'll continue researching how to get a good compromise between battery and flashing), also with a button to check for updates, and with lots of internal changes for stability and precision.
Does the app work for missing calls? It's already working for messages but i've made a call for my phone so I can only add what I want to work with the app but for missing calls it seems not working.

Well I don't know from engineering mode but if u have installed xposed framework then download xvolume module :thumbup:

I have a Micromax Canvas android one the incoming speech is so low that have to either end the call or tell him to call me back. I have tried almost every app from play store. I think it is in Hardware... u cant increase the intensity of ur mmx a110q flash light by patching ot tweaking....
yup you can increase the intensity...
for this all u have to do is flash color os v1.2 rom... it has he powerful led flash..

It's hardware related... change in rom cannot increase anything... if at all.. there will be a minor change if you use pimp my rom
