Its STILL not out yet for the Xperia S!???? Wow, Sony truly taking their sweet time with it, even the GS2 has JB now.
Dont be in a rush for it, seeing many of the Xperia T JB bug reports, seems Sony still has a ton of work to do on their JB FW.

Just googled and searched around, and nope, Sony have not even released a single official JB FW for the XS, seems they delayed the release. They are still crap with their support from what im seeing.

I hope March will be the month.

Just wait until end march via http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/news/145370/ or you can using costum ROM ZXZ it make your XS like JB :good:

[Q] Official Samsung ICS Update vs. Leaked

I used Odin to flash the leaked version of Ice Cream Sandwich to my Skyrocket back in March. Now that the official release is fiiiinally out, I was wondering if there are any specific tweaks that make the official ICS better than the leaked firmware. I'd like to have the official, but Kies isn't recognizing my device so I'd have to flash the stock ROM and THEN use Kies to update all over again. If there are no notable improvements (i.e. battery life, etc) I'd just keep things the way they are. Any suggestions?
There is no official for the skyrocket

Rogers stock ics has possible ota updates

looks like rogers stock ics has "software update" option on the phone, on GB it wasnt there, dont know if it will actually update our firmware ota, will have to wait for an update to check it out
u wont c it anymore if on seans skyics 4.2f, that option was removed probably because it wouldnt do an update on a nonstock rom
Interesting hmmm
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Given that I doubt there will be any large updates again ota is good for patches and security updates it makes sense

Stable Stock JellyBean?

Hi all,
Just curious since I haven't seen anything and haven't found anything with a search, has anyone installed the latest Stock JellyBean leak that came out? Is it stable? I heard it got leaked, but haven't seen any threads regarding it.
I haven't heard of any JB leaks for Verizon.
agree ^ if there is anything out there that you know about , let us know!
He's probably referring to the Sprint leak which is the first CDMA leak of JB.
You would have to scan through the Touchwiz JB ROMs in the development forum to see if they have switched their base over to the Sprint leak or not.
If sprint has a leak ours shouldnt be far behind.

This is pretty good.. flashed on searet from India.. no bugs so far but just a couple of force closes which happened just once.. what you need to watch out for is that there is no root for this as of now(or at least I didn't find one so far).. some say can't downgrade back to ICS.. haven't tested that yet.. overall worth it..

Leaked it or not...anyway it was rolled out by samsung without any notifications and supported by kies for future fixes. Even Russian off. web doesn't mention about it in a support tab. It is a test stage. OS debugging on device per country is more comfortable, than receive international bug reports with similar contents and filtrate it (by language for ex.) in fixing process. Russia has the worst mobile network coverage in country zone so I think it is the main and best reason to debug device in these conditions. (A lot of russian users are complained about network problems on Galaxy S Advance).

This is not completly true. Only flashing custom kernel with Odin will increase binary counter. And maybe custom firmware, but one root method use firmware with su file integrated, and it do not increase bc. So for us now, only flashing custom kernel with odin increase it. And there is no Odin flashable kernel files for JB now on xda. And ecerything you install without Odin will not increase bc.
