Hey I have a chance to get a phone on contract and switch it to my unlimited plan on Verizon. I have an s3. Is this the best on verizon. My friend for some reason has really bad credit but has a chance to get new lines with new contract price. Then he is just not going to pay. Now this isn't something I would do but he did offered me a chance to get any phone I want for cheap price. Should I keep my s3 or just get a different phone and sell it.

Try craigslist. You can often get better prices on ebay even after the fees, if you are lucky.
The new DNA looks pretty good. Only down side is it doesn't have a removable battery or expandable memery

yeah when you said "for some reason" your friend has bad credit.... Doing stuff like this is the reason. It's also why lots of people who are just joining verizon pay a $300 deductible for service. That being said, my gf has the SIII, and I'm still rockin' the GNEX running ParanoidAndroid. I'm upgrading my work phone and going with either the Note2 or the DNA. I think you'd get a better re-sale price for either of these 2 phones than for the SIII if that's what you're looking for.

Honestly you should blame the verizon reps. We went today and he was 250 past due. Usually they don't open new lines. He was going to pay it but the rep said its Ok I have a way around it so you can pay later. I was on the side like WHAT. What would you do. So not to a note 2 at 350? Instead of full retail? I ended get the note 2 for my gf which it is pretty cool.

Ya have you heard the rumored size of the note3. It's going to be 6.5 inches. I think the 5.5 is pushing it. I held the note 2 is not to bad but anything bigger than that is pointless to me unless you are on bluetooth headset all day for calls. The battery has to be humongous to power that bad boy.

Wind has the Note II coming soon too to Canada. I just got my SGS4G though, so it would be a while for me to get that. lol. I go with their tab plan, pay your bill and they apply 10% of your bill to pay off the phone. Maybe it will lower the price of the S3 though.
That sounds like the tmobile value pan here in the US. Pay a small fee to buy the phone then part of your new bill goes to paying the rest of the phone off. We switched to the value plan, and our bill went down even with adding a s3 with unlimited data for my mother in law. Wife is picking up the note 2 as I write this. Probably the last post from this device, it has been a rock sold device for almost two years and we'll sit in the drawer as a backup now....

I'll say this... My wife and her mom got free GS3's and I decided to wait it out for the GN2. If you decided to go with the GN2 you will not regret it.
Well i have this friend who is currently employed by samsung and the other day he was back home and i went over there and he showed me on his compiter the design and specs of the galaxy s4.
Now i cannot say much but one thing caught my eye in the courner of the spevs iy said 5g enabked...
Now is 5g coming out next year? Or is that just an off projection?

When the S3 was being worked on, a man wouldn't tell his his wife or his kids what the S3 would be like in fear of losing his job
In addition, samsung probably does all their designing of their flagships at HQ, which is korea. They also only have their top workers, and even then they made 3 galaxy S3s so that no worker would know if they were making the reall S3 or not.
Also, with many companies not even rolling out 4G LTE yet (which is pretty much 5G anyway), there is no way 5G is coming out anytime soon

No. First of all, you don't live in Korea where it would be designed.
Second, since it is being released next year, they want a CPU of that generation which is not yet available, so we can't know the specs.
Third, he wouldd probably have lost his job by now since you have just told the world about it.
Fourth, any work on Samsung's flagships would be in a secret room guarded by secret people in a secret file, NOT on his computer where it could easily be hacked.
Just face it, your friend is just BSing you or trying to impress you.

Why can you not accept the fact that it is not true?
All big Samsung employees LIVE in Korea. That IS their home.
And if you knew anything about Samsung, they do NOT try to leak things. I even told you, to protect the secret of the Galaxy S3, they made 3 DIFFERENT models, and the designers thought they were making the real version when really it was one of the other 2 models. The Galaxy S3 had NO leaks because of this secrecy.
300 people? More like 30 in TOTAL. With 10 working on each phone, 20 are working on a fake phone, and 10 working on the real one. Once again, they don't know which is real or not.
And I'm going to smack the claim of 5G off too, because they don't llist specs as "4G LTE" or "5G." They would say the bands, like 900/1700/2100 MHz (that was an example).

I think this is hands down one of the stupidest threads I've ever seen. There isn't going to be a 5g, because 4g itself hardly exists on most carriers. And there's no way in hell it'll have a bigger screen than the note 2.

And Samsung would NEVER release details of the S4. They kept the S3 such a secret, if you read my article a few posts back.

Sell your S3 on eBay, buy a Note 2 paying the difference out of pocket (maybe $200 or so). I know several people that have sold theirs for 500.

Probably not since there are millions of S3s that were made. Unless the people make a mistake and package the wrong phone on accident, chances are you won't be able to switch your S3 for a Note 2.

If you're due for an upgrade, the Galaxy Note II refurbed was available for $199.99 very recently.

I still just have the original Note and over a year later I'm still pretty happy. I do occasionally start jonesing for the note 2, but not sure about the life of a refurb, I think it only saves about about $50, but with the S4 out I expect a new note 2 to drop in price soon. Have you considered looking into something from Pantech? The Pantech Burst, used, would save you about $100 from your $200 budget and is a very nice phone for the money. It also has a mostly-working CM10.
You could also look into newer phones like the Pantech Discover, In general, it's a good brand for the value-conscious.
Ok I decided to go with tmobile instead I'm thinking about getting the galaxy s blaze if I buy the $50 unlimited talk text 100 mb 4g speed and I run up the 4g will I have the hspa+ speed?
