Caller id app - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Does anyone know of any good caller id apps that they use? I don't have caller id from my provider, so I'm not sure whether an app can functionality replace it or not. Is a contact identification app the next best thing?
Thanks

1: you should not post your number publicly!!
2: log in to your voice account on a pc and you will have to set you mobile number up through the website ..in account settings

Lol I would take out your number. Some trolls might prank you on your Google voice.
Anyways, what does your General settings look like, make sure you have SMS to mobile unchecked.

Lol I think that's your Google voice number, well that's where my Google voice number shows.
You should be able to start a new conversation and reply to received texts. If you have a text plan with your mobile number, send test messages to google voice from it or vice versa. That's how I did it.

Call/sms forwarding/blocking apps?

All,
My girlfriend is getting a lot of calls and texts from her ex and wants to block them. Ideally we would like options to forward to voicemail or block completely any calls from his number or unknown numbers and block/delete any sms messages from him.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I thought CM9 might have had some options built in but I can't find any...

Hide number when calling / receiving phone

Hi. I have android and ios iphone.
I love Android better.
The only thing I hate in this android is that it's always show name and number of caller when dialing or receiving phone which is really really bad in my business.
can anybody help me to fix this?
I want it only show the Name without number when dialing or receiving phone (like it does in iOS)
that's the only reason I use 2 phones the same time
Thank you very much

Widget locker and in settings there's something in there that I used to keep lock screen on until you unlock it to see who's calling
Sent from my LG Esteem
Thank you but that not the perfect solution for me. Because I just wanna hide number of caller while incoming or outgoing call happens

Well i guess your need Auto call recorder Pro available n playstore.
The call recorder will record my and other person conversation but i need an app in which i can listen what my frnd is speaking when i call him before picking up the call. E.g i called my frnd before he pick up the phone i will hear the dial tone or his caller tune but i want that his phone mic gets on and i start hearing what he is speaking when the phone is not picked up. I think i had heard about this feature in nokia x2. Can it be possible in android.

Lol but it will be fun,is it possible in android ?
That would be a creepy app. I wouldn't want to call someone knowing they had an app like that.
I doubt this app exsists. It sounds like a big violation against privacy. Google play will definetly not have it but maybe an alternative app market..good luck and dont use the app for the wrong reasons, with great power comes great responsisbility.

You're better off using a free app like Current Caller ID, Contactive, or Mr. Number. I don't think any dialer by itself has Caller ID, but Caller ID apps certainly have a dialer, including the ones I just mentioned.
Give it a shot!
Oh, almost forgot-
If you're using CM11 (like the latest nightly), activate number lookup from your dialer settings (also known as Call settings). OpenCNAM should be an option so you can use KitKat's dialer with Caller ID natively.
You WILL enjoy it a lot!
Press thanks if i helped...
