friends i have big problem.i can't hear other person voice in incoming call as well as outgoing calls.other person can hear my voice fine but i can't.
music also work fine.i am using cm9 and re flash ROM twice and restore original stock ROM but same result.help me plz
guys is this is a hardware problem?
my phone is under warranty but i rooted and custom recovery is installed.
so my phone is out of warranty?and service center is charge me to repair my phone?
plz friends help me out.

First of all you install custom recovery and rooted your device so your phone's warranty is lost...so HTC service center charge if you go there.....for me I also face this problems but for mine simple reboot solve it...

I cant receive calls when installing custom roms
if someone calls I hear the beginning of the tingtone and then nothing
no missed call alert cant see who calls and the caller receive connection error message after a single ring

Did you do your wipes before?
Try toggling thru speakerphone a few times to see if it helps.
It is normal that Hellraised ROMs have no sound on first call after flash.

Yes I wipes all my data
its not that i cant hear the call I cant do any action to the call
I just hear a second of ringtone then nothing at all
the caller name doesnt appear
and with sensation rom I got the boot screen when Im using mobile normally
It sounds like to me you had a major bad flash....need to unbrick back to stock and go from there

after sensation rom I used stock rom using odin tthen When tried doctorz rom I had same problem
Go into dev thread and search for gtg ultimate unbrick....download and follow instructions

it has been titanium back up is the reason
when I restore everything this issue happens
but if I restored apps only its ok

i am not yet do software...this is the original fw.
i can hear sound through head phone. but on speaker dont have sound.
Play one of your musics then go to your list and play the other one.

Try to restart your phone and play again..
This is probably a problem with the stock ROM....plug in the headphones again...play some music...exit the player....remove the headphones before the phone goes to sleep again and try playing the music through the external speakers now. If this doesn't work restart the phone as suggested above.

Try the method as suggested by 'The-Droidster'. Play music with headphone. While playing, Unplug it. It may bring the sound back. I feel the headphone jack may be defective. When you plug a headphone, there will be switch in the jack which will switch off the speaker and when u unplug it, it shud switch back the speaker on. But some time, it may fail to do so. Take it to a Service center, they may clean the jack and the issue may be solved.

It could be just a software bug just factory rest your mobile & everything should be fine.
Even if the above doesn't help then flash your country's firmware again it won't increase the counter & will not void the warranty.

i do factory rest already even sd card i format but same problem..

I think this is a born problem with sgr...
I have found this prob stock indian firmware...for now...
N to resolve it u need to plug back the headfone and then plug out...

it's one of the early rom bugs which are solved in the later updates. flash one of the latest firmwares and u'll fix that.
Its the problem with sgr...I am having it too in my phone on stock s/w..workaround..just restart your phone

this is a common problem with SGR, faulty hardware is reason of this.
flash stock rom and give phone in SSC they will replace 3.5mm jack and ur problem will be resolved no need to manage with workarounds like rebooting each time.

How long do they take to replace the faulty 3.5 mm jack? I don't want to be away from my SGR for long .

maybe will take about 2 days. depends on availability of parts in stock and rush.
are you sure it's hardware issue? cause i had this problem on stock rom that came with my phone and when i flashed it to latest austrian rom the problem was gone
He said flashing stock haven't solved his prob so its probably a hw fault. This is one of the common fault of sgr and it gets resolved by replacing headphone socket.

have you tried to see if its loud on loud speaker could be a dodgy ear piece speaker
Loud speaker is ok. Headset is ok. I tried many roms. Reaper. Cm7. Official ics rooted. And few others. This happened when I installed fallout 5. The version before was fine. I tried to reinstall that but sound remains low. I even asked a colleague to listen...maybe I went deaf ...I guess I ll reinstall the stock Rom and send it to warranty..

Have you tried wiping everything? (every partition except sd ) And flashing some of the previous working (loud ) roms?
I did full wipe before each rom install.. nothing... , I use the phone with a bt hands free for the moment.
Have you tried different radio?
the volume is now normal , I have no idea what happened. I had to change the sim so I closed the phone changed the sim and after the sound was normal. I rebooted after each rom install but didn't tried to pull out the battery before.
And is gone... Today sound is low again no reason ...

could be just a bad signal? maybe you are worrying too much? happened to me as well, i thought it was the radio or rom, but it turns out my phone is fine. But if you do have ur warranty just go ahead and send for a check up, maybe your issue could be hardware related.

Have you resolved the issue? I am experiencing a quite similar problem with my Motorola XT912. The thing is that it works on some ROMs but it doesn't on just a few.
No..the problem has not reslived

Hi everyone I have a problem with my galaxy s4. I rooted my phone and decided to flash CM11 onto it I didnt like it so I did a factory reset and now I cant send texts or recieve calls it just says "you are roaming" when I try to call someone. Anyone have any idea whats wrong?
