[Q] how to root Maximus max901

Hi, I bought a " Maximus max901 " android phone, I tried many rooting method, but none works, so does any one know how to root this device? that will be very helpful ... pls someone help me ... I need to root it badly, also is it android 4 ics upgradable? ... thanx in advance, im posting the software & hardware info below for your reference:-

have it too looking for something for it i just rooted the phone and did a backup of the rom

I hate to break the news to you but, looking at your specs, I dont believe you can have jellybean. 1. You have very low ram to handle all the apps and tasks it runs. 2. You have a single core processor. 3. There doesnt seem to be a custome rom for your device.
although, when kitkat comes to more devices, yours should be able to handle it and may be availible for your device as a custome rom if not an official. Sorry for the bad news.

Yep, can't get JB on that. If your device has a kernel source released you can compile KitKat yourself, but that seems like the only option.

I would gladly explain it to you, but I just google'd your device and the kernel source is not available for it. It's possible, but it's going to be a bazillion times harder. Plus, it would take a lot of trial and error. I've also never tried to compile a ROM without kernel source before. Sorry I couldn't help any further.

[Q] Lenovo S400 alias S4 mini clone ROM

Hello I just got the 45USD Lenovo S400 phone, wich of course is not a Lenovo, it is a modified S4 mini clone with MT6582 CPU, Adreno 305, 256MB RAM. Antutu says rooted: YES. Recovery is in chinese .
Is there any chance to flash some custom ROM compatible with this hardware?
On the phone there is Chinabox logo and also ZBW-PS1 number.

Your best bet would be to look at the hardware inside the phone as other "White box" smartphones may share the same hardware and have custom ROMS ready for them.
Unfortunatley this is the issue as their are so many variants of white box brands and not enough developers for them all

I can disassemble that, there are 9 screws and it looks like it won't be a problem, when I do this, I will post pics here.
What should I focus for? I mean, the CPU is known, but what else should I focus for?
