If you want to fill it in "manually" with the spen, you can always import the pdf into s note, then edit and save.
You can then export the note as a pdf. And then email it.

Thanks for the advice - seems like a plan. I checked out repligo to. That looks pretty god for that sort of thing to

No problem, form fillable pdf's might be easier to fill out first, then save a copy, then import to s note to sign, or doodle or whatever.

You can in adobe reader. Also in polaris office. A word of caution though, make sure you use a copy of the original doc because on some of them (Polaris especially,) if you save the document it can be a bit hit and miss to undo the changes. Found this out the hard way. Luckily I was able to download another form, but keep it in mind.

Awesome Drop

New app just popped up, 'Awesome Drop'. You just open the app on your phone, then go to http://labs.dashwire.com/drop and put the access code from the page onto your phone and drop files right into your browser and they get transfered to your phone. No account, just simple file transfer wherever you are.

neat, thanks
useful if you don't have the usb cable with you
This can be used to send files I have to my friends with Android phones. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
This is great, just hope the site is able to stay up from the strain of a lot of concurrent file transfers.
Yeah I've had this for a little while, it's handy for transferring small files, but I noticed it tends to choke/hang on files over 100 megs.
How?

it's a one way app, use 'websharing' or something like that if you want 2-way
Actually quite awesome.
I wish the reverse was possible though.
A tab that you could open and then drop files from a built in file exp. into the drop box.
Well, the only thing that stops me of using this "Awsome Drop" is the lack of Opera.
But that might be the lack of HTML5 support from Opera, rather then the app. and website creators fault thou..Even thou Opera 10.60 was a "giant step" towords "full" HTML 5
heres a video that i did on the application to give users visual on how easy this really is:
Hi agian!
I couldnt wait on Opera Software or the app website too like each other so I downloaded a firefox.paf.exe too the computer I was using yesterday. And it worked like a charm, the only thing Im woundering about is when the "prossesbar" at the website is finished the prossesbar in the app. isnt full.Does the prossesbar installed and running on the phone view an other prosses?Like total amount how many MiB Ive downloaded or how much I can download to my cell before its full?
Just use drop box.... and share folders with friends...

I have a particular calendar need, looking for input

Ok so i need to setup appointments, these almost always happen 4 weeks apart. Would be nice to have an app that lets me set the repetition as 4 weeks. Google calendar on my computer does it, but i can't find a calendar on android with this option.
Here's to hoping somebody has seen this and can help me out, thanks
Try Business Calendar
I use that program a lot, it however doesn't suit this need
If you use Google Calendar it will allow you to pick the repeat intervals... it has an option to popup on your phone and/or email. Works great.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that looks like a desktop version, to use the desktop version on my phone is clunky at best, and the mobile version doesn't have that option. So what I'm looking for is an app with those options.
Thanks
Touch calender does what you want and sync to your gmail calender.

Business calendar does do this. When you create your entry at the bottom select weekly. Under that there is a box that you can select every 4 week's plus an end date if needed.

S-Note help request

I just cant seem to get the hang of the handwriting re cognition in snote. When I write on the full page with handwriting recognition is converts the letters fine but it always seems to cram them into a small text box.
For example if I wast to write this sentence just as you would on a pice of paper it would show up something like:
For example if
Iwas to write
this sentence
just.....
is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?
I am coming from a thinkpad that had an app called notes mobile that, although not perfect, and in some respects was more limited it at least tried to behave like you would expect it to.

I use the stock keyboard. to be clear if I enter on the stock keyboard with HW recognition it works ok but I am talking about entering right on to the page as if you were writing on paper
Wish I could help. Sorry.
Flicker
Does note work as you would expect when you enter onto a page in hw mode

Hey Optimus,
There are actually two ways that S note recognizes handwritten text. What you've described is essentially adding textboxes that you can later select, resize, and move around.

I believe this option works best for (or is meant for) inserting single lines of text.
For continuous text input via handwriting recognition, I've been using the other option (see screenie below):
Hope this helps

That is exactly what is happening. Sounds like it is my expectation that is off kilter not the set up.
Thanks for clarifying

Encrypter Decrypter - My second Android app

Encrypter Decrypter is my second Android app. Again, this is a simple app but does what it needs to do perfectly.
Encrypter Decrypter - My second Android app
This app can convert your text in a reasonably secure text.
Note: Saved files are saved in /sdcard/EncryptorDecryptor/Encrypted_Texts
Compatibility: Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and above
------------------------------------------------
Features:
- Encrypt and the encrypted text is directly copied to your clipboard
- You can directly share the encrypted text too using Email, Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.
- For large text files, the files can be opened using a file manager and the encrypted text can also be saved to text files (This is the reason why the read and write permissions are required by the app)
- The new Tabbed UI (swipe-able tabs)
Please check it out. I hope you like it.

Seems nice, but you need to add a more strong crypto

Certainly. But my primary aim as always was to learn something new. I try learning new things and implement them.
I know Java pretty well, but I'm new to Android and it's APIs. So building a strong crypto would meaning working more on the Java part, whereas I wanted to spend more time getting hold of the 'Android part' of the programming.
Usually I take up 4-5 new things to learn per day, and if possible implement them together to build a simple app. But seeing the good response my friends and family are giving me on this, I may look forward to building up a stronger crypto. Can't completely ignore building up basic algorithms!

Hey man..... I haven't tried your app yet..... Because I already use OCR instantly pro....... But the point I want to raise is that..... There are a lot of apps who can do this...... You should do something to stand out of the crowd...... Right?
So in case it is possible...... Maybe you could try something like real time selection from current screen wherever you are..... Much like CAPTURE2TXT for windows.....
Thanks very much

Totally agree, you should have something that will make your app outstand among such great apps like Tesseract, OCRopus, Conjecture, Anyline, OpenCV. :good:
By the way, how much can an OCR developer get in your country?
Thanks in advance.
