Dears
I have bought my Sony Xperia Z3 D6603 from USA last November 2014 and several updates ji don't know) I have ringtone volume is very quiet which I cannot hear. I need an advice how to increase this volume and overall volume of the device. Multimedia and notifications sounds are OK now.
Can I do it without ROOTING my device? Please help me as I got frustrated from Sony Xperia Care

Well, i do suggest you doublecheck volume settings, try reflash latest fw (you won't loose your data), and if still nothing, than send it to Repair/replacement.
My phone volume is fine and can be set loud enough, the only exception is when im connect my 5.1 Speakers...
Is it possible to retun the phone back to Sony in USA to repair it or replace it after 7 months of use?
I have double checked the settings of volumes, they are on max but volume is still low.
Have you rooted your phone to get this high or loud volume?
Is the sound settings for Z3 firmware different from country to country or region?
I have the same problem - quiet ringtone. This happend after last update, so i wait for next for fix

Well you still have warranty. And no im not used any custom rom/mods patches etc, the sound worked fine even when i was unrooted a while back.
Just doublechecked my volume, damn pretty loud on highest, sorry mate, maybe try to reflash?
P.S or maybe im so sensitive and its loud only for me

Mayby this.
P.P.S. If its realy to low so u can't even hear it, just take you fav. mp3 edit it with some soft like Audacity by amplifying sound volume, as workaround.
please help me where i can find fav.mp3?
here is my phone Z3 D6603 review on youtube "Z3 low ringtone"
I updated my phone to 23.4.A.1.230 and 23.4.A.1.232
I noticed that the speakers volume now is noticeably lower !!! it has more bass now but lower !! my Z3 has Z3+ speakers now!!
I was shocked comparing to an another Z3 phone.. I thought I have dirt in my speakers I cleaned them but after that I thought that If I have dirt it will not be in the both of the speakers in the same time!!
and I remember that the "stereo notification zip" was not working before the developer updated it.. So YES MAYBE!!... Sony changed something with the sound driver!!
in 23.4.A.0.546. the volume in music noticeably higher !! 30% louder really!!
I'm so much confused.. anyone facing this problem also with .230 and .232 ???
Well, I haven't noticed any changes in that. Seems to be the way it was before. Maybe the fault is in your phones speakrs. ;/
yeah so that I'm asking.. I want to know the truth..
Hello there,

I have same problem, top speaker sound distorts at high volume and the sound it produces is weaker than bottom speaker. is it normal or software/hardware problem?
I have same
Top speaker too low and bottom has fine without any repairs
Hi everyone. I've got a problem with top speaker on Xperia 5. The sound coming from it is distorted. No damage to the speaker at all. Actually I've got it replaced. Still the same problem. It looks like a weird software issue. And it seems I'm not alone with it. Someone advised to switch off Dolby Atmos but it doesn't help either. Any solution? Thanks
I have the same problem as you
I am trying to search for the cause and solution of this speaker distorted problem. I think this is from some fk up software update. Hope sony will fix it asap
