Good day guys, seems like whenever I go to settings, i can't get it to "back" or the back button does not seem to work. Moreover, whenever I get out, the game stucks and it never shows the score screen thus unabling me to play unless I press the home button and kill the app and start it again, because of which I never finished the tutorial. =(( I installed the latest version. Sense 4 Build 6.

Hi all, I'm one of the "new to the gtablet world thaks to Woot" crew. First, thanks for what you all do here, it's a great resource.
I've managed to install the TnT Lite v4.3.0 wthout any problems and everything seems to be running well. My question is, when i hit the power button on the side, it shuts the tablet down and to turn it back on i have to hold the power button down and it has to go through the entire boot process.
Maybe thats what it is suppose to do, but being used to my iphone i imaged it would just turn off the screen and hn bring back up the lock screeen whn it was pushed again. Am i wrong or did i do something wrong when installing? Is it a setting change?
I know this question may be dumb, I'm not as tech-ignorant as this post may make it seem.
Thanks again.
A long press on the Power button should power it up. Once it's gone through the full boot cycle, a short press on the Power button should put it into sleep mode. When in sleep mode, another short press should bring it back to wake mode. A long press on Power while the gTab is fully awake should bring up a dialog box that asks what you want to do, go into Airplane Mode, Shutdown, etc. If you choose shutdown, you'll get another dialog box that asks you to confirm with a yes/no.
I am using the Stock Enhancement so maybe it works differently from yours but mine has functioned this way consistently from the time I got it, even before I loaded the Stock Enhancement.
did you try to press the "power" button lightly. when you press it lightly, it should just turn off the screen. If you press the power button and hold it for a sec, you should see a popup choice (shutdown, sleep, air mode, etc). I agree that the power button is a little sensitive to me as well and I have been using mine for 3 months and it is getting a little bit "wear".
So, it is just my solution, and it may or may not work for you. Since you are running tnt lite (not working on Vegan rom). You can download an app from android market called "Tap Tap App" power button (free)
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.maicas.android.wsleep&feature=search_result
and it will place a icon to your screen or notification bar. It basically turns off your screen, and you can press the volume buttons to turn the screen back on. I have been using this solution for a month now, and have no issues so far.
I'm pushing the button very lightly, and it appears to shut the machine down, or makes it unesponsive. Then I have to hold it down for quite a while to get it to do anything, which makes the machine reboot. When i hold down the botton (when the machine is on) I do get the options, and can put it ito sleep mode that way, and then a light touch will turn it back on. But obviously this is not the way it is suppose to run.
Is there a way to reinstall TnT or shoul i try one of the other ROMS?
Actually I think that is a problem with 4.30. If you install clemsyn's kernel it should fix it. Pershoot's may work too but I only tried clemsyn's.
It sounds like a sleep-wake issue. Like wall_fodder said, you can try to install Clemsyn or pershoot kernel. before you do install the kernel or reflash it, make a backup through clockworkmod and use titanium to backup your apps and data.
I am using 4.2.5 and very stable. Yes, you can reflash it with 4.2.x or vegan 5.1 through clockworkmod.

thanks, is there a step by step on this someplace?
hey all, thanks again, i restarted it in recovery mode and now everything works fine, nothing new installed or changed. Thanks so much...
I heard mixed results about 4.3.0 and sleep. For me, it works (as well as others). But some have reported issues. I'm not sure why that is -- maybe a data wipe is needed?
fyi, the recover reboot only helped the sleep issue for about two presses of the sleep button. However, I installed the Clemsyn kernel through Clockwork Mod and now it works great (after several tests). I had installed tnt 4.3.0 and 4.3.1 directly without CWM. So installed CWM on top of tnt4.3.1 then installed Clemsyn. Probably not the correct way to do it, but everything is working right now.
Lots of hail marys from this newbie while i was doing it though.
My TF has done this three times now since yesterday's FOTA. The device hasn't crashed as I can still use ADB and the notification bar relects the true battery status, time etc. I can also turn the screen on and off with the power button but I can't unlock it due to the screen not accepting touch input.
This happens regardless if use a custom rom or not.
Has anyone else had this experience?

My device had this issue, but with the 3/25(?) firmware (it came from overseas -- Taiwan). I basically thought I had a brick, but yesterday I used not-quite-pristine US system.img via a nandroid backup, and it brought it back to life. Still working, 18 hours later (and with the latest OTA update).
If you still have cwm / nandroid access, PM me and I'll post up the system.img that I used to fix my issue, yesterday. It was basically an image I found on Android Central, and I yaff2'd it and added my own md5sum so that nandroid could recognize it. My ongoing concern is that the permissions could be all screwy and softlinks could be broken. But, given the choice of that versus a bricked tablet, I could live with broken softlinks.
mine has done it 3 time while playing fruit ninja but only while playing that and not whit normal use as browsing and all that

Same here. Touchscreen stopped responding while playing that game, but that happened even before the OTA.
How can you get it to start responding again or force a reboot? I just got mine in the mail, pushed the lock button, and now it won't respond to any of my touches. Stuck at the lock screen.

Hold the power button for 10-12 seconds to force power it off. Release button. Wait a couple seconds. Power on as normal (a 5-6 second hold down of the power button). If still no joy... you're screwed perhaps.
ok thanks a lot holding the power button down for a long time did force it to turn off, now it's working again.
Okay, this is a little thing that for whatever reason is driving me bonkers. Bonkers I tell ya!
I recently updated to 5.1.1. Stock, but rooted and unlocked. I then installed xposed and some modules. I changed a lot, so it's hard to narrow down what is causing this.
When I turn my screen on, my main home screen should show up. You know the button on the bottom right that brings up a list of running apps? That's what shows up instead. So every time I turn on my screen, I need to hit the home button first. Bonkers I tell ya!
Thanks in advance!
Update: Looks to be fixed thanks to Ben36! Keeping this post up in case other people have this problem. I had no luck searching for it.
Download another launcher so it asks you to set default again

I don't know why I didn't think about that. Good idea! I switched to Google and back to Nova, checked nova settings, restarted nova, rebooted phone... now we wait. It doesn't have this problem if I turn the phone screen back on quickly, but if I let the phone sit for a bit and then turn it on, it happens. I'll report back after work as solved if it doesn't happen by then.
Thanks again

Hi everyone,
So I noticed that some apps utilize a floating menu button (I think that's because the s6 doesn't have a dedicated menu button?) that appears like a circle with 3 dots on the screen wich you can move around.
However it appears to somehow be broken, as when I tap the button a menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again, not giving enough time to do anything and of course rendering such an app useless.
I have tried a factory reset, but it didn't help.
Is there any way to fix this? (my device is not rooted)
I've seen that a few times and the way I understand it is if the app has any use of the 3 dot options it will allow you to use it, if not pressing it won't do anything. I've pressed it a few times in many apps but nothing happened.

In this case this particular app I am trying to use it with has the need for it, however when taping on the button the menu just shows up for a fraction of a second and then goes back down again, so I can't reach any setting at all.
The app I am using is called (Droidfish) and it's free in the play store, maybe you can try and see if it works for you?
Thanks

Is if Droidfish chess? I tried that one and when I tap the 3 dot menu it pops up the menu for half a second and then it just backups up again. Does not seem to work. Maybe it's just an issue with the app itself, not being properly developed to work with our phone?

Yes that's the one, and now I noticed that (chess for Android) also has the exact same problem.
The thing is that when I first bought the phone Droidfish worked just fine, it stopped working when I got an official ota update. I tried a factory reset, thinking maybe that would help, but no.
It happens to me too.
I thought it was the app -droidstats- and wrote to the developer.
Now I know it's a TouchWiz feature. ..

Set animations to 0.5x if you have them changed to something lower.

As Russians often say. Sorry, I have bad English.)))) I also had such a problem. When I launch some games, the screen turns black. But at the same time, physical buttons work. I concluded that the problem is in the firmware. An idea came up. When the game starts, I immediately quickly press the power button twice, and the camera starts. Then I go in "recent applications" and select that game. Startup goes smoothly And a without black screen. I hope I understood your problem correctly. On a10beta1 then on the stable version it disappeared, now it has appeared again after the update.

Just swipe out of the game - and go back. It's way faster

))) excellent, we gave hope to our teammate)) Your decision is really simpler. I accidentally decided it by calling the camera and was so happy that and I didn’t think there was a solution easier))))

You just have to know where to swipe but that's easy when you turning your screen around BEFORE starting the game.
For me help factory reset
