Sorry but are you jokeing you have loads of the same type of apps. Close the thred.
Sent from my Pulse Mini using Tapatalk
No I am not jokeing and I know I have some apps of the same kind and that is why I am asking the members which one they thing I should keep and which one I should remove.
Do the brave thing and delete everything. You'll soon realise what you need.
Seriously, I stopped reading the list when I saw, like, 5 news readers. Keep Pulse (or your favorite if it's not pulse), and delete the rest. Delete any news apps, and find the address to its RSS feed. Add those feeds to whatever reader you kept, and you've already eliminated at least 5 redundant apps.
Use the same strategy for everything else. You should be able to tell when two apps are doing the same thing. Just pick your favorite and delete the rest.
Edit: Are you kidding me? 5 or 6 file managers. I would stick with Root Explorer or SU and delete the rest.
I'm gonna leave it at that, because that is way too many apps. Good luck streamlining.
Looks like a list of downloaded warez, and you're just trying to figure out which ones to use.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
AAAH! MY EYES THEY BURN! dude litterally. what are you tryin to do go app crazy? CM6.1 has it's own file manager that works great (once the full version comes out i'll be happy) as for all the double apps get rid of em. literally why so many apps. only keep the ones you will use not the ones that will sit and collect fragmentation (hahaha fragmentation kinda like dust is to objects).

I was thinking the same thing when I saw both Root Explorer and SU on the list, not to mention all the other duplicate-function paid apps.
@OP: You should listen to the dude who said to delete everything and start from scratch. And with no wares this time.

Do you have all of these apps installed and running on your phone?
Sounds like you would have some performance issues with these apps, narrow the list.
Do a Google search for the "app" name + "Android review". When I am looking to accomplish a certain task, I Google that on some review site. This will narrow your scope.
I have not, I repeat I have not downloaded these apps from waez or as a package but spent time on appbrain and install each and EVRY app I listed and tried them, th initial liost was 500+ apps, I have narrowed to 200 apps, I just wanted to know which ones people think are the ones worth keeping, the reason I have shortlisted these are because I like the functionality and Ui, however it could happen that some function is available in app x and also in appy but I don't know yet (not played enough), but people on the forum are able to point that out.
Most of the apps listed are highly rated and popular.
I have updated the list by cutting down on some apps.
i will give reason for each app, once i find some time.
That's defo a warez list lol.
You wouldn't have listed all the free version and paid versions if not.
No way you'd have paid for all those apps without trying them.
Made me lol in rl.
Use whichever you feel more comfy using.
Good luck
edit... quick Google search I just found your current list in a wares torrent. In the same order.... Lol

And for every app group (be it warez or not), there is not simply an app that beats them all. It all depends upon your interests and personal preferences, and no one but you can decide what is the app out of a group that fits you most. So please stop asking others to do a work you only can do yourself.

i fully agree with that!

I have actually been felt very offended by the fact that members feel that I am using from torrent or warez. As proof here is the list on appbrain:
appbrain .com / user / mohitgarg / need-to-test-install
appbrain .com / user / mohitgarg / faved
And mr leetvtr, eff off, i could find the apps u use in a torrent too.
If I wanted to keep them and be a horder I would not have listed them, the whole purpose was to get input from people about what they feel about an app and if they would discourage the use of a particular app for some particular reason.
I actually did try all of them for less than 22 hours (paid) as I wanted to try and then get a refund, thus didn not have enough time to play with them, but these r the ones i liked in terms of first impression. I actually have tried many more (paid too) apps but did not like them and thus needed your help, what a friendly society, really!
Cut down to one newsreader. For social apps, I'd use Facebook, TweetCaster, GoChat, and Tapatalk.
This combination provides the best coverage of features with the smallest footprint on your phone.
I would also go with Winamp for music, and YXPlayer for movies, since they each offer the best quality and broadest compatibility of their respective media types. I'd also cut down to just Astro and Root Explorer for file managers. While Astro may seem redundant, it's been beneficial to me to have a "pedestrian" file manager, and I also find Astro's zip manager more reliable. Only keep the Google Apps you are actually going to use. I can almost guarantee Google Sky and Goggles will just end up collecting dust in your app tray. The majority of the apps you have listed are pretty specific in purpose. If you aren't using then, and aren't sure if you need them, back then up with AppMonster and uninstall them. You'll always have then to reinstall from your SD if you every want to try then again. That's about all the advice I've got.
Powered by Tapatalk™ for Android™!
Thanks for the constructive criticism, higly appreciated.
I have updated the list, need more suggestions.
I've tried a number of the free ones and I've bought a few, with mixed results. I guess I expect something more. Anyone have any recommendations for managing your phone better?
Clutch Pad is one of the best I've found. I've been following it since beta and the dev is responsive and updating drastically with huge improvements. I'm running my phone faster now, which is great.
Anyone else try it? Alternatives?

If you are looking for a program to enhance your launcher, Itching Thumb is my favorite. Its still in beta, but coming along nicely. I turn off the indication bar on the side & just double press the home button to use it. It has thumbnails of open programs (large ones if you are rooted!), a bar for entering gestures to start apps, as well as a bar for shortcuts. Works great for jumping from app to app!

- I second dropbox. Love this app so much. Makes it so easy to share/move files.
- I'm a GoLauncher fan. I tried LauncherPro but it just was slow for me.
- Evernote. I use this on all my computers. It's the program I use to capture recipes, design ideas, travel ideas, and any other articles/websites/photos I want to remember

Dropbox for syncing various applications and documents to multiple files.

Colornote: For inputting notes and stuff when I need to remember something.
Astrid: Class work and homework goes in here; it gets displayed on my home screen with executive assistant.
Executive assistant: program that aggregates a lot of data (sms, email, missed calls, tasks, calendar) into a widget. (Paid)

Igo 8, Waze, Superuser Elite, BusyBox, Device Z test, Google Maps with world naviagation unlocked, ClockSync, flash light, ES explorer, Elecont Weather.
Paid apps: Titanium Backup (must have), Root Explorer, GreenPower, it really helps
Free: Waze - stunning social navigation , Anki, SMS Backup+Restore
I know everybody always suggests Titanium Backup, but I prefer MyBackup Root.
I've had too many issues with Titanium not properly restoring some of my apps, most notably the larger ones, after updating or switching roms. I've not had this problem since using MyBackup Root.
Can´t live without my FotMob
Best app for me is my fotmob app. It serves me with the latest soccer scores of almost every league in the world. You can filter the leagues you want and not!
Go gunners!

The title is "must have android apps" (for rooted phones).
But do the suggestions must be root concerned?
I think a must have is what's app. (for rooted phones I suggest it, too )
I know about the privacy problems, but what's app has a big community and is working on different platforms.
Then I recommend K9-Mail. It's very customizable.
At the risk of repeating some other members posts, here's mine (root only):
Adaway - Shifts those pesky ads!
DroidSheep/DroidSniff/dSploit/WiFiKill - For being a nuisance on public networks
FX - This is my default file explorer
Lucky Patcher - takes care of suborn apps
Mobile ODIN - I used this to upgrade from from ICS to Jelly Bean. The 'ever root' feature is a god send!!
Nova Launcher Prime - My default launcher for my Tab 2 10.1
Rom Manager - To, erm, manage my rom's!!
Sixaxis Controller - Pairs my PS3 controller to my S3/Tab 2. Very handy for playing Grand Theft Auto!
STweak - Works alongside Siyah Kernel to make my S3 dual boot. Handy for testing new roms etc
Titanium Backup Pro - For backing up....obviously!
Total Recall - Automatically records all incoming and outgoing calls.
Hacker's Keyboard. It has all the keys you expect on a computer. You'll need them if you're on the command line or possibly editing files.
I've seen busybox, so command line apps/scripts/functions are fine - well then: My favourite Unix command has to be ll. As in alias ll="ls -l". It's in CM9, and I didn't even notice until I wanted to place an ll script in /system/bin and realized I had been using ll all the time
ScriptManager
Wifi File Server - there are others that do the same thing, I don't know what's the best. I prefer this over dealing with cables all the time.
ConnectBot and/or Terminal - for ssh or local shell access
AndroidVNC and 2xclient - 2xclient is an rdesktop client. Note: "Remote Desktop" is an rdesktop server.
Goggles - uploads an image (e.g. from the camera) to Google, tells you something about the image (maybe chinese translation, flower identification ...) I haven't tested it much, but should be useful if it works
TuneIn Radio
AppAlarm
Ministocks (I like how it just lists the information as plain text in a small font, I'd like more of that kind, uses screen real estate efficiently)
Clocksync - more than just NTP, it also autodetects the time zone
THIS DOC IS NO LONGER ACTIVELY MAINTAINED!
Sorry for this, but real life took over and managed to take so much of my time up that I’m no longer able to verify and test stuff on my own. Besides, since Android Wear 6 a lot of things changed and I’d have to test all of these apps again.
Greetings dear Android Wear users!
Today I got my LG G Watch and I'm just amazed by the capabilities of that watch so I thought I'd create a list of all working sideloaded apps.
For everyone who doesn't know: Sideloaded Apps are .apk files installed directly to the watch via ADB.
Since Android Wear is technically the same and the specs for every watch are also kind of in the same range this list will most likely apply to your own Android Wear watch too, even when it's not an LG G Watch.
Please report any weird behaviors here with the keywords mentioned below to make things easier for me to search and add to the list.
--------------------
Useful Links:
Apps2Wear - Directly install APKs onto your watch via your SmartPhone
How to Sideload Apps onto your Android Wear device (YouTube)
Easily download any APK file directly from the Google Playstore
Easily launch apps from your watch
Un/Install Android Wear apps (Google Docs)
--------------------
The list of all sideloaded apps working on Android Wear can be found on Google Docs (to make things more simple for me to update).
------------------------------------------------------------
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LIST (Google Docs)
Will be updated over time
------------------------------------------------------------
Want to help?
If you want to help making this list bigger and better please write the following keywords into your reply/report so I can find things easier and faster:
"Tested & Working" - App install works and application is running and starts without a force-close.
"Tested & Crashing" - App installed but crashes/force-closes at start up.
"Tested & Report" - App installed and runs fine but is unusable (e.g. GUI is too big, example would be Temple Run 2)
This makes my work a whole lot easier and my thankfulness for you even bigger
And now: Have fun testing!

Probably not SwiftKey (minuum is probably best suited to wear anyway), and definitely not WhatsApp. If you look at the guide by Corbin Davinport on pushing APKs to android wear, he says that he found that apps that require internet connection do not work. Therefor, WhatsApp wont be able to directly connect, as you would design the app so that it works through the devices Bluetooth connection to connect to the internet. However, I believe the developer of Wear Messenger has an app that lets you access WhatsApp through text messages, which then allows you to use WhatsApp from wear messenger.
The second point of this post is directed at OP,
In the google docs, it lists "Don't tap the white tile" as partially working and intermittently crashing in certain game modes. Once again referring to the guide by Corbin, the crashes arise whenever the app try's to show an ad. If you go into the settings and disable banner ads and only allow popups, you can get to the end of the game without the app crashing. It probably will crash at the end though if it tries to show an ad as this tries to connect to the internet, and that causes apps on wear to crash. One would probably be able to fix this by decompiling and recompiling the application to remove ads.

Maybe one to add to the list would be Es3, its handy having a file manager on the device.

I will let you use many more apps on your wear device
hi,
for information i'm the developer of a companion app for android smartwatch.
SWApp Link
https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/108675494963196634299

Since yesterday i'm working on adapting it for wear.
Besides it's own feature, it has a specific feature that could make many more apps working on wear: it has a remote clipboard feature that allow to set the clipboard on the wear device from your phone.
They are many apps that don't work on the wear because they need text entry: this would allow you to type the needed text on your phone and paste it in those apps.

Nike wouldn't side load but c25k free did but never worked. Still looking for comparable running app.
Nokia Here maps works offline on watch, but only Sony smart watch has GPS atm. And change of density required to be able to start navigation.
I tested Terminal emulator and it is working well with minuun keyboard.
So far I have the following sideloaded and working on an LG G Watch
NES-FC Lite (NES Emulator)
QQplayer (video player WITH BLUETOOTH SOUND!)
ES File Explorer
Astro Bluetooth Module (to transfer files from phone->watch)
v1_Bluetooth_Arduino (to control my garage door connected to an arduino/BT Shield)

sure: LG G W R
Just got my LG Watch G and I tested all sorts of apps after installing the "Ghoma rom", below are some of the apps not on the list I tried.
Tested & Working
Retry
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.retry&hl=en
Game complains about missing Google Play Services but if you "ok" the prompt the game will load and seems to be fully playable. The built in "ad" button that opens a ad to view and earn coins does not work. You must earn coins the hard way in game.
EDIT: The game seems to be usable once every boot, in my case I had to reboot the watch to play the game again.
Tested & Report
Speedtest.net
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest&hl=en
The app loads but doesn't do anything because there isn't system wide internet access.
Tested & Crashing
Youtube
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.youtube&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
Keepass2Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=keepass2android.keepass2android&hl=en
There are two versions of this app, regluar and offline. I tested the regular one and it crashes and fails to load anything.
8-ball Pool
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miniclip.eightballpool&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
NHK World TV Live
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.nhkworldtv.android&hl=en
Starts to load but crashes complaining about internet access.
Starbucks
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starbucks.mobilecard&hl=en
Crashes and fails to load anything.
ICE
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.queader.ice&hl=en
The game doesn't even seem to try loading, no crash message. But it causes the screen to rotate till it silently crashes in the background.
Angry Birds Friends
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angrybirdsfriends&hl=en
Loads to a black screen and just sits there. Required putting the watch to sleep with the palm gesture to exit.
2FA apps
Was disappointed to see these crash on start:
Google Authenticator
RSA SecureID
Not really surprised, but it would have been nice
babelmonk
Alright guys, let's hear it. So far the app catalog on offer is quite simply appalling. Granted, you don't need a lot of apps on a smartwatch to provide a great experience, but there's some obvious things missing for now.
Here's my wish list for a full package.
Messaging apps: Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger. I don't need a fully fledged app, just the possibility to send a NEW message, not just reply.
Music apps: I use Spotify and would love to be able to scroll through my playlists and the other ways of selecting music. Not just basic music playback controls.
Sleep tracking: There is an app in the store, but looks so amateurish I find it hard to trust it.
Shazam: Would love it!
Google search...: I wouldn't even care that the speech to text would be handled by S-Voice, but give me a way to quickly search something online. Cortana/Siri/Google Now style
I would add these to the list:
Navigation: Being water resistant, this watch would be perfect to keep track of your speed and bearing while sailing. A GPS speed app and a simple Compass app would be lifesavers.
Web browser: One can dream...
Productivity: A decent pdf reader (the one in the story is nearly unusable)

Productivity: A decent pdf reader (the one in the story is nearly unusable)

I understand the Navigation and Productivity, but why would you want to browse the web on a tiny watch screen?

Besides the cool factor, i reckon having a web browser would reduce the need for some apps. For instance, we would be able to go on facebook and send messages, use online RSS feed readers like feedly, use WolframAlpha, browse forums, etc! Obviously, using a web browser on such a small screen is bound to be a cumbersome experience. However, on those rare occasions when you cant take your phone out of your pocket (either because it's inappropriate or because you're afraid it will get damaged or lost) having a web browser on the gear s2 would be pretty useful!
Navigation using Here Maps is readily available, but I hope we can get google map or waze available too for navigation....

Will receive the gear s2 in a week or two. Would love to have...
Paypal
Whatsapp and/or Line
Spotify
UBER
tasker (with widget), whatsapp (view conversations, reply, create), alarmpad (/set phone alarm, with tasker alarm) gmaps (preferably without companion app), google now Ù
I saw on the spec sheet it has a barometer, I have the 3G version on Verizon, I would love to have (as mentioned above on the first):
Speedometer - as I have an old diesel truck with a speedometer that doesn't work, been using Ulysses Pro
Better Weather App - Would be nice to see the barometer measurements within the weather app
Internet Browser - For those with the 3G version, would be nice on a rare basis, although I agree it would be cumbersome, having the functionality would be nice.
Google Play Music All Access - I pay $10/mo for Google Music, would be nice to have support for that, but I doubt it ever will since its not Android Wear
EDIT: Just looked through the Gear App Store, I see there is a barometer app now available, my bad.

Uber is now available on the gear app store (wasn't there a few hours ago, so seems like it was just launched). Just installed and seem to be working nicely (didn't book a car, just checked it's running, finding location etc)

Guitar tuner. Since there is a mic, this will come in handy

remote camera control
i only wants a countdown app, like the "final countdown" on android.
plus one (or more) watchface, witch count down till the date / time witch i added.
It would be pretty useful for me.
remote camera control. I also use Handcent and currently the app isn't compatible with the S2. I get the notification but have to read it and reply from the phone. For that reason, I had to switch back to the stock messaging app which I hate. Handcent is totally non-responsible on the issue (well on any issue it seems). They quit answering questions/concerns on their facebook page. They now have a google page but you have to request to join. Been waiting 2 1/2 days to get approved to make a comment.
Better KeyBoard
maybe not considered apps, but...
have Wake Up Gesture option: Last Viewed.
ability to add custom ringtones (for 4g model).
