Hi
Tried to update my galaxy s3 model gt-i9305 which is an unlocked version bought from hongkong.
i have tried to update using firmware downloaded from sammobile web site. I9305ZHBLL3_I9305TGYBLJ1_TGY
Followed steps to install on Odin3. Pressed start after selecting auto rb and f.reset.
Phone has been sitting there for at least an hour and is doing not much. Small section below swystem is green. Last message on Odin system.img
What can I do as not to brick. How do i pull out of this without doing any damage to phone.
I managed to disconnect with no dramas. But I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've followed the steps but it's not working for me. Sorry guys

You can't use Odin for nexus one, cuz it's just for Samsung phones.

I know that, lol.. I've got a Nexus S waiting for me when I get back to the U.S. Just trying to understand this stuff before I get back and root it.

Attached file includes a guide to flash bootloader using Odin.
I have a radio problem with my Nexus S I9020T and I hope someone can help.
I installed Cyanmodgen 7 and after a couple of days I suddenly lost all cellular reception on the phone (data and voice). The phone identifies my SIM card handler, but it just can't find any available networks.
I went ahead and reinstalled I9020XXJK1- GRH78 firmware using Odin, but I still can't get any network connection.
After installing the new firmware, my phone now shows "CARRIER INFO - EUR" when I go into bootloader mode. The thing is, my Nexus S i9020T is a T-mobile version bought at best buy in New York.
Can anybody tell me if there are any negative effects if the carrier info shows EUR on a US phone?
Thanks!
Why are you gents even flashing with Odin, when you're much safer doing it with the Android SDK and fastboot?
Noob here,
I am wanting to unroot by samsung galaxy i897 on rogers network in Canada. I just rooted it using the superoneclick method. Now whenever I try to enable my wifi the phone keeps rebooting till I pull the battery and restart. I have decided that I am too stupid to have a rooted phone and am looking for a simple way to unroot my phone and restore it back to the standard gingerbread 2.3 it was running on before. I have tried the super one click unroot method, following the guide on this forum and it hasn't worked.
Thanks
simplest method is to flash to stock firmware
Hit me on the thanks button if you find it useful ; )

Another Noob Question
And how would I go about doing that?
You can use ODIN to flash to stock rom
Sent from my Galaxy Tab using xda premium
Ok, so I tried using odin to get back to the stock rogers rom using the roms posted on the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=979133
But even though odin says it was successful, the firmware is still AT&T. Any ideas why?
Did you try to wipe dalvik cache, wipe data before flashing to stock rom

Found a thread will the proper rogers firmware. All seems to be working well now. I think I was just just using incorrect at&t firmware. Thanks for the help.
OK, well I have searched and cannot find a solution for my problem. Long story short bought a phone on craigslist, it had a version of ICS on it, Unknown on the version.
Problem: Phone will not download any new apps, or update any apps. When I click download and install.
It will pop up say downloading status bar, then immediately says download is unsuccessful and the status bar goes away.
Goal would to be to have my apps install and update correctly.
Flashed it to stock gingerbread version off this site. Under the software for skyrocket.
I have cleared cache on phone and restarted several times with no success.
Settings apps market clear cache and all that jazz

That link is to a thread with stock GB (2.3.5 and 2.3.6) as well as ICS 4.0.3 firmware (Odin tar links and CWM flashable zip links). Read through it... lots of good info.
Hello every one I've been trying to install the new JB update from Samsung but everytime I try to install the firmware when it gets to 24% it just restarts and a window pops up telling me the installation failed. I've tried flashing both stock kernel and stock recovery but still no dice. I think it's because of the root. I've tried googling for an unroot but can't seem to find one. Can anyone help me out in my Delima I really want JB lol.
The attachment is a screen shot of my note's software specs. Thanks.

Samsung official updates are not via Odin either Kies or OTA or both .
Root and or wrong CSC is liable to block OTA update .
CSC changer wipes the phone .

I don't believe you can OTA if your csc and firmware don't match up. if you flash the correct firmware for the region that you tablet came with originally you may be able to OTA. I flashed the German 4.1.1 onto my 8013. I went back to the original ICS for my model and was unable to OTA, but was able to update to 4.1.2 successfully through KIES. my system status was custom tho .
Any update requires the codes to match firmware on the server .

Just root it, and install a custom rom. I find it much more reliable to myself being responsible to update my phone, rather than relying on samsung or your carrier.
Sent from a galaxy far far away.
Thank you for your tip but really I have a bad experience with rooting from my old motorola razr to xoom ( lag, freezing, etc) :/
