IPhone slip cases

my dad has an iphone 3gs i managed to get my hands on his slip case, and IT fits, surely that is great for all of us that means that *hopefully* all iphone slip cases will also be compatible with our desires. heres a link to his one here

I tried my work colleagues slip case looks the same as in your link, he got his in the carphone warehouse so probably was 3 times as much. It does fit just just the top sticks out a tiny bit.
Getting so desperate for a case I might chance it.

yeah its quite a nice case actually considering when you add all the stuff shipping and vat it comes in at a healthy £15 which is pretty good for a nice case

It's a good price for a nice case, using a £2.90 from eBay at the moment and it's embarrassing!!

i've always used to have them type of cases but they always seem to do more harm than good considering this was a "mere" £400, well i think i might protect it properly!

I went down the line of somethings better than nothing.. Had it a week so it's been about 5 days longer than I wanted to keep it for, can't seem to find anything that I liked or that would fit.

I just bought a really nice iPhone slip case for my Desire.
Black, soft leather from HMV for £10... (half price)
Protrudes about 4mm out of the top - but well worth it.

Don't get the pull up case. I got one myself a few days ago and it does not fit well. The insides feel rough and it felt like it could scratch the phone at any time.

I've had an OtterBox Defender for my iPhone for over a year, and after the number of times I've dropped my phone only to have it saved, it's the only case I'll use.
Unfortunately, Otter hasn't created one yet. I sent in a request, and they're looking at building one, but don't have one yet.

The orange and black case looks amazing!!

Maybe not realy case related, but also protection..
I've mailed gelaskins and uniqueskins to inquire if they will be producing a skin for the Galaxy S soon.. Gelaskin is putting it up for consideration, uniqueskins however does not respond to any mail i send them, very rude! (despite the've read them, according to the read reports).
I would like to use a skin to protect the plastic cover. However the cover was not as flumsy as most reviews lead me to believe..

case looks awesome how do I order one?? I've been trying to battle through the zenus website (using chrome korean translation as the english version doesn't work) but not getting anywhere...

I absolutely detest cases of any kind as they add extra bulk to an already fairly large device. What I prefer are skins like the ones from gelaskins.com.

some people like case some dont, as for me i want to put some weight on the S its too light, also i dont wanna scratch the back of the phone,

I am able to purchase from Gmarket as I have used Gmarket before.
Would anyone be interested in me bulk buying some and me sending them to you? The reason is that Gmarket uses a very expensive delivery services, and anything up to 0.5kg is roughly 12 dollars. These cases weigh 0.1kg each so I am able to buy up to 5 of them and still pay 12 dollars delivery.
Edit: Nevermind, I just checked the actual item weights. It's the silicone case that weighs 0.1kg each.

Not sure, it may just be part of the design, but it would certainly be very nice if it was a kickstand.

I'm a HUGE fan of Case Mate and their Tough Cases. Myself use one, recommended atleast 8 friends I know who are either using a Desire HD, Nexus One or an iPhone 4 and they all have Case Mate's toughcase

These remain out of stock. Some of the skins can be bought separately, but the shells aren't back yet.

I was considering giving it a try.

Just spoke with a Case-Mate representative over the phone and was told that the Nexus One Tough Case is now discontinued and they do not have any more in stock. All they have left are the soft silicone inner skins that pair with the outer shell.
Kind of sad that a great phone that really isn't that old at all is already pretty tough to find good accessories for.

I think about using a case like that for my N1. at the moment i am using the original nexus one case. but of course, it is not very safe compared to this case.

I broke down and bought one of these cases on Amazon because I was unable to find one elsewhere. No one carries them and as my last post stated, they're discontinued by the manufacturer. Received the case yesterday and all I can say is that if you're on the fence about getting one, DO IT. The case fits PERFECTLY and feels very high quality. It doesn't gather an excessive amount of lint, and even comes with a nice microfiber cloth and clear screen protector. I already dropped the phone once today and the case did an absolutely beautiful job protecting the phone. Really too bad these aren't being made anymore.

My only complaint about this case is the soft silicon skin under the trackball gets loose quickly. It still stays on, but doesn't look or feel as good.

Well just placed my order with amazon, problem is they wont ship to NZ so have a mate over in the US that comes back in a week or so, getting it sent to him and then he will bring it back

Well damn, looks like I got one just in time at the beginning of January! And it's a really great case. I sure feel like my Nexus One is safe in there.

I'll start:
I ordered an otterbox commuter series case for the Desire HD, and am crossing my fingers that the Inspire and DHD are exactly the same. I feel like the commuter is the best balance between essential protection, without adding too much more bulk onto an already large device (to me, slimness is a deal breaking factor). When it comes in, and I have the phone on the 13th, I will test it out and report my findings. If it doesn't fit - I'm going to go with the case-mate 'barely there' case. The only reason I did not choose this case - strangely enough - is that it didn't cover the aluminum/glass seams on the front face of the phone.
Has anyone owned an otterbox before? Please comment on the quality, snugness, design etc - let me know what I should expect.

When I first got my Captivate I also ordered the Otterbox Commuter, however it was a bit too bulky for me since I like the aesthetics of the devices that I buy, and it hampered it too much.
With that said, I will first start out with a naked device, then I might move to a PhantomSkinz Chromatic skin. I love those things.
If I want a bit more protection, then I will definitely be getting a CaseMate Barely There too.

Heh, I also just ordered the OtterBox commuter case for DesireHD, it shipped out today. I'm hoping it fits ok, it should...

I love otterbox protection but hate the bulk. I will be going with a casemate gel skin and a gelaskin for the back along with an invisible shield for the screen

I am thinking it will fit perfectly - after doing more case research last night I found that Seidio is advertising cases for the Inspire/DHD. Unless they are purposely making a blanket case with some added "wiggle room", I believe they know for a fact the two devices share the same dimensions.
When did you order yours? I ordered mine last night (2/7/11, 11:30 pm) and have not received a shipping email yet.
Is the commuter really that bulky? I wonder how easy it is to return a case to them...
Edit: Just checked out their return policy. Seems pretty basic, except shipping costs are non refundable. If it turns out I don't like the case, I'll eat the charge for shipping it back to them (I used a coupon code that got 10% off/free shipping).

I ordered mine on 2/07 at 2am, and got the shipping confirmation later the same day at 7pm... So that's about 17 hours, lol. I'm guessing that yours will probably ship out by 2/08 at some point? I'm pretty sure we'll get them by the end of the week. I used the same deal, 10% off with free shipping.
I have not seen the OtterBox Commuter cases in person, but they look a lot less bulky than the Defender cases! A friend has the Defender case for iPhone 4 and while it's nice, it's freakin' huge, haha. I think the Commuter series is supposed to be like a lighter version of the Defender, which is exactly what I want.

I always had the gel skin case made by boxwave. It's very easy take off and on. Feels good in your hand. It's doesn't add bulk. They also have one for desire hd which should fit the inspire. I am very excited about the release.

My experience with these cases are never good. While they seem great in theory, I have the way that without fail - dirt and lint get stuck on all of the edges of the plastic. Whether you keep it in your pocket or keep it in your hand, it has happened on every clear shield I have applied. Not to mention they are very tricky to apply to contoured surfaces. They protect from scratches, but don't drop it - your edge will still be exposed (which is probably what is going to hit the ground first)
I have only owned the zagg versions of these, so I don't know if the case mate ones are any different. The last one I owned was actually for an iPhone 4. While I was in the store, despite my previous experiences with them, I thought that it would be a good idea - since the front and back of the iphone 4 are completely flat. While it was a breeze to install, the plastic protector never quite took hold of the glass surface and when I would put it in my pocket, I would remove it to find the protector all disheveled over the phone. I eventually just ripped it off and found a slim hard case.

This case has great reviews on an htc desire site. Its made from TPU which is a little harder and less "sticky" than a gel case. Same material as my iphone's iskin case which I've had for over a year. I've dropped it multiple times, and no damage to the phone or case. Prob the best material IMO. Probably similar to the Flexishield case I have on my Hero. If so, they are great.

Cool, my OtterBox Commuter case (for Desire HD) came in today! Took 3 days total with (free) shipping via USPS Priority.
The case is NICE! Way better than I expected and really not too bulky looking at all. I'd say no thicker than any other normal case. I like the combination of the rubber + hard shell. The case also has a nice texture to it as well. Now I just hope it fits the Inspire ok, lol.
I pre-ordered from Radio Shack, guy told me they were getting the Inspires in "early" for the 10th, because they're trying to compete with Verizon iPhone (which launches on the 10th). I have no idea if he's right or not, but will call on Thurs afternoon to check, and maybe I'll have a nice surprise...

I ordered 4 of them from the shack and was told I would get the $30 card for each phone. Also not sure if you did this or not, but on the bottom of your preorder receipt theres a survey link , tkaes about 3 minutes, and at the end you print out a coupon for $10 off your next $40 purchase (picking up the phone )

Galaxy Tab 8.9 Trident Case

For those that like the protection of something like an otterbox or seidio. I highly recommend this case as I had one on my Nook Color and it took a beating like a champ. I'm likely picking up a used 8.9 LTE shortly and this will be the first thing I add to it.

Dude, I'm all about getting thing without spending a lot of money if I can. Found the trident I posted for $33 at mobile-stop so not as much as above. For my piece of mind I just have to have a case that can be dropped without worry. I have a tpu on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 right now cause that's just the best I could find. It was awesome that it was only a couple bucks but I don't feel like it's gonna protect it *when* an accident happens (cause they always do).

Yeah, the one I got has next to no shcok rating, I really got it to keep it from getting all scratched up and stuff. The Trident one looks alot more hardcore form a protection standpoint

Can anyone confirm that the trident case can also be used as a stand..... It seems like that is all the trident case is missing.

Nope, no stand. Just received my case today and really like it. The initial install is frustrating, aligning the ports and all, but overall feels really good in the hands. Don't bother with the included screen protector, to the touch, smooth. If you use a stylus, it grabs.
