I'm making this thread to first of all thank Scott for what's he's done honestly without his development I would have returned my one x and I know many of you guys would do the same.
This thread is to show Scott if he reads it how much we love his roms and what he has done for us
Please feel free to post below and show your appreciation for Scott he is a great dev

I think your a bit confused Scott is the cleanrom dev. Not aokp, and cm9.
Sent from my HTC One X
What I ment to say I guess since it wasn't clear that I go from clean Rom to aokp or cm9 and stick with it for mabe a half a day and end up going back to clean Rom

Just wanna say thanks a lot as well! I was originally on CleanRom 2.5 and as of last night I upgraded to 4.1 and it really made me love my One X even more. I had no complaints with 2.5 but the difference in performance between the two versions of the ROM just show the time that goes behind what he does. Very great improvement and this is a big blow to all of us to lose a great dev on XDA. However I will also be checking Scott's own website for ROM upgrades if that's where he decides to stay, which I don't blame him if he does.
Scott,
I've been using CleanRom since 1.1. I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!! I am currently on 4.1. I am skeptical to try anything different because your rom is so stable and perfect.
Thanks again for all your work. Without CleanRom I would of ditched my One X for my 4s. Currently I will never go back to Apple.
Thanks again Scott!!

ICS Kernel? Question

You know this is a question that has been stuck in my head.
If HTC can just make kernels. How come nobody else has made one for us yet. Like the devs. Is it too advanced or something?

This is because they can build the kernel to match their closed sourced binaries and hardware. All the drivers for the hardware are closed sourced. without the binaries and lib files for the hardware it would be pointless
Virtuous is making a full sense 4 from with fully working camera. Its called Virtuous Infinity.
They did it without the kernel so all well but thanks for answering my question.
I can't wait for it. They say its coming soon. Very soon!

I will be very interested in seeing this when it does come but it does nothing for AOSP roms and those that will never use Sense again since they killed it on Android.
on a second note I deleted your other thread. Only make one thread about the same topic.

No fully functional ICS/JB Rom port if HTC doesn't give us ICS?

Ok I haven't exactly found an answer for this so I'm asking. First Why do people say we won't get a fully functional ICS/JB Rom port if HTC doesn't give us ICS?
The reason I would like to know this is merely because I have a Samsung captivate, it has ICS(fully functional), and Samsung never released ICS for it. I know that its different hardware and manufacturer, but wouldn't the same concept apply to all devices?
If not please explain why the same concept doesn't apply here.
Thanks.

There are some really great ics roms out here and desirehd forum. They just have very minor issues which don't bother me at all. The issue here I noticed is that no matter what the devs give is the users will never be satified and will always complain about something whether this or that or not getting this or that. As far as I'm concerned I have a fully functional ics rom thanks to LC and Exists( hope its spell correctly)lol and a few other devs here.

It doesn't apply here because its hardware is 90% the same as the nexus s and that got ICS source a long time ago. We don't have a similar nexus device like that so it is more difficult .

So I have another question...considering the HTC incredible s got ICS will that help them port ICS to the Inspire 4G/ Desire HD considering Its very identical?

I'm not sure, I think once source is released it is a possibility but I'm not positive so don't quote me on that.

Its late and i couldnt sleep and just realized this joke wasnt very funny.

So it was a joke? I'm a bit confused...but cm7 always served as a great gingerbread Rom for me on my desire hd...I also enjoyed sense 3.5 gb roms
I remember being AMAZED by the awesome cm7 boot animation lol.

Yeah it was a bad joke. I should have went back to froyo or eclaire and maybe it would have worked. Although really i should just not post when im tired.

We never had gb on this phone... It came with ics sense 4.0 ....I wish we could run sense 3.6 roms I would abuse those
I knew this phone came with ics so im not sure why my brain isnt working. Usually im only this wrong about sports facts.
I wish you could run whatever you wanted to on this phone, id be dual booting Ubuntu (well i would if i had more user accessible storage).

To answer the question. I am pretty sure I recall reading in the thread that development stopped. I don't believe anyone ever picked it up. Based on features I'd say viper and hatka were pretty similar though I never used hatka myself.

If you read the comments in the Rom thread, Hatka left and is now currently developing for the One

I read somewhere in the development thread that utkaar is going to pass the development to another user because utkaar left for the HTC One

HTC_Phone took over development, and I was eagerly awaiting the next version (which fixed the broken data usage monitor), but nothing has been heard from him since.
I still have faith in him delivering, but I'm slowly starting to think that some troll took over development just for the sake of building up false hope. Wtf
