[Mango]Sync Problem

Is anyone else having a problem with the 4.8 beta Zune not syncing files.
My phone (7661 atm)is recognized and connected, but when I try to add songs etc. nothing happens ( a sync group is created, but it never actually syncs)
Well since this release in mainly aimed to test developer app this may be normal behavior^^ so is anyone else experiencing this?

Certainly not normal behavior, have you tried reinstalling the Zune software?

I have similar problem. The newest Zune program after connected HD7 starting and telling me that I need update and trying to do it. After while I have information that I have the newest software and do not need any updates. The conclusion is that I can sync nothing. Drivers installed properly but Zune do not recognize it.
Has someone similar problem?

I am having this problem too I am hoping it is related to Zune being down at the mo rather than due to the dev mango trial update

I do not belive that only a few persons have this problem. Anyway I egree this is a Zune software problem.

Yep...same problem here.
...and I thought it was Mango breaking the USB functionality on the LG Quantum, whether in QC COMPOSITE or MS COMPOSITE mode through the MFG app...
EDIT: Never mind: Zune v4.8 beta client needs to be installed...manually.

I'm using the Zune beta software and syncing works fine for me. It's quite fast too.
Wireless sync works perfectly as well. Sometimes it disconnects after a period of inactivity. It's as if WiFi is going to sleep after a while.
Oh well, c'est la beta...

It would be helpful to understand where does one actually download the Zune 4.8 Beta software??

try restarting your phone while its connected with your pc through usb, did the trick for me on NoDo, not sure about Mango but it's worth trying!

Well today it finally decided to sync. <insert deity or null> knows why.
Since I went the official way I already have Zune 4.8 so seems to be a beta issue with the beta Zune/beta Mango kombo

Have the same problem over here, first it was working till today i cant put new albums on zune software to transfer to the phone..

Finaly! After hours and hours of updating, tweaking and backupping i finnaly got a working unlocked version of retail mango.. but... these apps aint working anymore, strange, because TouchXplorer is still working. Also Registery Editor is not working anymore!!
Are there some new alterntive apps? Especially a custom-accent changer!

You should have picked another title. I thought this is a release...

Have you, by any chance, checked the TouchXperience site any time in the last few months? Schaps has had working Mango versions of Registry Editor and Advanced Config for a good while now.

Working fine now on my hd7 with release of custom roms that are full unlocked within the past week or so.

No, interop-unlock is and probably always will be required, until/unless MS comes to their senses regarding it. That said, it's working on my HD7 with stock Mango retail ROM. The process requires rolling back to pre-Mango but it's possible to interop-unlock an HTC phone as long as you are dev-unlocked and have the HTC Connection Setup app installed.

there is a version 1.4 but its really buggy on my Focus. Inter-op unlocked.
It launches and if i go fast enough i can get it to stay open in the Accent changer.

I've been able to deploy this to my phone using the Windows application deployment tool, but it doesn't appear on my app list afterwards. Am interop unlocked.

Hi .. please where I can download Twitter_1.5.0.xap, facebook_2.8.0.xap and Whatsapp_2.8.10.xap, because I can not install from the marked on my HTC HD2 with ROM Windows Phone 7.8
I need to install this programs on my HD2 with USB.

I don't think this is possible. Even if you have XAP files, you have to reinstall them every half a year, because apps installed from Visual Studio are time limited.

I don't think it's possible/efficient because AFAIK you can't connect using older versions of apps. Just ask for a working market won't you?

Hi :good:Thanks for answering me. I install the old version of facebook and works well. But not so with the old whatsapp. I searched with Google a long time but could not find the new versions. With Android never had this problem, searching the web you can find any of the marked application without problem. So far I have not found any updated applications on the web for download to my pc.

Hi Sunny.. I now use the old Facebook 1.0.0 application from Microsoft on my HD2 and it works great, despite being old works well, but what I want is to have my Windows Phone 7.8 with the latest software of Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter.
I can not install programs directly from the market because my WP HD2 I can not activate the Windows Live account.
I need activation WP with my Windows Live account.
I am an expert in making changes to my HD2 ROM :fingers-crossed:. I use Android since I bought my phone, but now I want to experiment with WP. These three programs are the basis for daily use of a smartphone.

I'm suffering same issue like many other users are reporting. After update WP 7.5 to WP 7.8 some of 3rd party live tiles just stopped working. I tried original tricks for WP7 like deleting endpoints registry key, also trying hints with pin/unpin, reinstall apps etc but nothing has helped.
Then I flashed original MS rom with vanila and live tiles started to work normally at least for few days. Then I installed Bing Translator app pined it to start screen, it was flickering and I have a feeling that just after this, live tiles stopped working over again. I reformatted the storage which did help, but only for few days. Now I'm suffering same problem again. (my phone is Omnia 7, but I doubt is somehow relevant)
Is there any workaround or permanent solution to this?

No. Just unpin it or use 7.5 and ask the developer to change it.

Lumia 1020 in 2017-2018 ? Wp 8.1 or Wp 10 ?

Does it work well for:
- text messages SMS/MMS
- Phone
- GPS
- eMails
- YouTube
- Internet
I Will only use this phone for that, and the camera of course, no games, no social networks.
What is better ? To stay with wp8.1 or to install wp10 in my case ?

Mine runs the latest of W10. I think it's worth it, and everything works . Why have an old operating system? The 1020 has the RAM to easily run W10.

I´ve seen videos of the lumia 1020 running windows 10 and being slow. Also, they loose stereo recording in video. I am also worried about losing the special features in the camera, like iso, manual focus, shutter speed, etc. I´ve read that Lumia Camera app is not available for Win10.

I vote to stick with WP 8.1. Better contact management/groups. Better Live Tiles with Cortana. Calendar auto-completes location address. Better lock screen apps. W10M loses a lot of cool things from 8.1 that still work pretty well.

Where is the custom roms for lumia 1020? I can't find anything or some projects. Is it hard to make one build based on wp10 mixed with 8.1?
