Hi:
The problem is the next: My HOX was bricked, the LCD display never turns on, i always have a blank screen. My firmware is 3.14.707.2 and i try to use the RUU for my CID_044 to unbrick my device like the user mr.dj26: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859339&page=2. But after i put the unclock code (hdev) to flash the boot.img and recovery.img, my device is totally bricked.
I always have blank screen, but the device can restart and light the bottom buttons, but is like not have any rom. The device is only recognized for my windows when i put the device in bootloader, and when i use fastboot devices, he recognize the device, but when i try to flash any file use getvar command and others, he always say me: FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error)).
Before have this problem, i had blank screen but could hear the sound of the ROM starting and access to the device using adb and fastboot. Using the RUU always say that the battery still under 30%, i put 4 hours to charge and always the led is red. Connect the device after that and always have the same ERRORS. I drain the battery reboting a lot of times and after that i charge the device. After a 2 or 3 three hours the led turns green, but when i reconnect the device i have the same ERRORS.
My HOX is totally bricked or i could do something else to recover the fastboot and ADB connection to flash the ROM using RUU?
PS: I attach pictures of the fastboot errors and the device manager screens of my pc.
Do you have a dual-core S4 or a quad-code Tegra? Because you ran a RUU for the Tegra version but that is a firmware for the HD2.

I have a HTC ONE X international version Asian WWE (CID_044). I think that is a quad core Tegra and my firmware really is the 3.14.707.24. The problem is that i cant flash boot, recovery or use a RUU. I want to know another way to access to my device or know if its completely bricked.

Even though you're in the wrong forum, based on your cmd prompt screenshot im pretty sure your fastboot commands are not in the correct path... try dropping your .img inside your adb/fastboot folder, right click on the adb/fastboot folder and choose "open command prompt here"
Dunno what problems your facing, but that'll at least get your recovery on there and boot.img... dunno if it'll fix your black screen.........

Power on and hold volume down. Select fastboot. Install new Rom.
Also I would suggest not using SuperPatchef as it is not completely stable yet.

You have given literally NO info on what you have done to try and fix it. Have you even TRIED to read and understand what you have been told and instructed to do? Have you taken it upon yourself to read the dev section about restoring stock? We are not your helpdesk and xda doesn't exist to serve you. Get off your ass and do some basic troubleshooting and problem solving. If you get stuck somewhere along the way, people will lend a hand. But until you prove that you have at least some initiative and can take it upon yourself to at least go through the steps of fixing it don't come here expecting to be spoonfed. The info is already in the dev section and the dev section isn't that big yet. It's not hard to find.

Total recovery - flashing a RUU to completely restore your phone
If all else fails, this is your last resort.
This process will also erase all your data. But hey, beats having a dead phone, right?
First, ensure you have enough battery (more than 30%) to run an RUU.
Next, boot your phone into fastboot bootloader and open a command prompt window on your computer in the platform-tools folder.
Use the command:
fastboot getvar version-main
You now need to find the RUU that corresponds to this version. Start here. If you have problems visit #htc-one-x on freenode.
Now you must re-lock the bootloader using:
fastboot oem lock
It won't hurt to use the clear cache command as well
fastboot erase cache
Finally, run the RUU.exe that you have downloaded (must be used in Windows, and requires HTC drivers, which will have been installed whilst using HTCDev to unlock your phone).
This will write the /recovery, /boot, and /system to stock. You will need to start from scratch to unlock.
[edit]Extracting RUU if you have errors with the above method - Originally by torxx
Please note that this method isn't 100% reliable and should be considered a last resort; there have been various reports of this not working.
Many people have issues with flashing RUU's etc. having a bootlop.
Download a RUU (make sure you get the correct RUU, please see above)
Now open the .exe and make sure that it fully started.
Don't click anything, just go to windows icon and search for %temp%.
You will now find some folders, just search through these folders for the ROM.zip.
If you found it, you can copy it to your desktop or somewhere else.
Extract it with WinRar,7-zip or something like that and take the boot_signed.img and system.img.
Now copy the two files into the folder where the fastboot.exe is placed (if you have installed the Android SDK, it should be in platform-tools)
Plug in your One X, go into the bootloader and go into fastboot mode.
Navigate with the cmd in the folder with the fasboot.exe and the two .img's.
Now type in that:
fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
fastboot flash system system.img
If everything worked, just reboot:
adb reboot

Could not agree more. Please READ the dev forums in detail before trying to do ANYTHING to your phone. Understand what you are doing before diving in.
Staying stock seems to be the best option for you. I know English is not your first language, which is fine; it's not my first language either. Reading all the development stuff can be challenging, but it's more dangerous to venture in this world unprepared.
The HTC One X is really very usable out of the box. Just use it and don't try anything funny.
Hello every one,
since HOX from AT&T was sim locked I thought maybe one of the customroms have the ability to unlock the sim but non of them does that.
So now I want to go back to the original "Stock rom" that the HOX from AT&T came with if that possible and how?
I would really appreciate the help.
thanks a lot in advance.
Well unlocking sim has nothing to do with any rom whatsoever.
There are several threads already covering this topic of going back to stock with an RUU

I know it's not rocket science, but even before I created this thread, I knew that I need to do what you just said but my problems were the following:
When I was trying to relock the bootloader using the windows command line, I got the following message
< waiting for device >
and that stayed there forever, I mean I was waiting for 2 hours just to make sure wither something working or not but it wasn't doing anything.
I got the previous message when I typed the following command
fastboot oem lock
-------
I thought maybe I need to run the RUU first, then I should relock the bootloader but even doing that ended up with error.
By the way, the RUU I used is
RUU_Evita_UL_Cingular_US_1.85.502.3_R2_Radio_0.17.32.09.12_10.86.32.08L_release_262092_signed
and I am currently downloading
RUU_Evita_UL_Cingular_US-1.73.502.2_2FE6772699D8596307CC997452BB8D25
and I will see if this one works or not.
I hope you can see that I didn't post this thread without doing some search first but in fact it was the time to ask for help so it is not laziness.
Thanks
waiting for device indicates it doesnt see your phone. are you in fastboot USB when you run the command?
do you have FAST BOOT disabled in the OS (settings, power)
there are a couple of tutorials already available on this exact subject...not sure what it is you are looking for at this point, but it sounds like you need to get your computer to see the device
there is zero need to wait 2 hours for fastboot to show up on computer, it should happen immediately assuming you are actually in FASTBOOT USB mode
remember UNLOCKING the phone with HTCDEV?
you pretty much follow those guidelines to get
fastboot oem lock
to work
then you can run the RUU, any RUU made for your device (CINGULAR RUU is correct)
My HTC One S is stuck in QHSUSB_DLOAD. I tried to bring it out of it using Unlimite.io's solution for One V, though it finished successfully One S didn't come out of this mode. Is it completely dead and should be sent to company or is it still un-brickable?
Does it boot into HBOOT after running the tool?
Sent from pixels to more pixels
Nothing happens.Just blank screen and charging led which remains orange forever.
same here man.. didnt work with one v unbricker either ...
This is not going to help you (sorry), but maybe provide some insight for everyone..
Do you know how you got into this state?
I've seen reports from others deleting large files from their sdcard partition.
Do you remember what you did right before it died?
Thanks,
-Jobo
Your HBOOT might have become corrupted. This happened to people with a Sensation after writing S-ON flag from S-OFF for warranty purposes. A re-flash of your bootloader would be good. But since you can't get into the bootloader, this is quite hard. Have you tried following the Sensation unbricking guide, using a different, One S HBOOT?

Cannot stress this enough, do not flash anything that isn't posted in the dev sections of this forum...I believe IceColdJelly is for the international (Tegra 3) One X and you may have overwritten your boot sector and recovery. If you can't get the charging light to come on then you are most likely out of luck.

Rogers is Rogers, Telstra is Telstra. Telstra is an Australian carrier.
Seems like the OP had a fundamental lack of basic understanding of what they were even looking at when flashing ROMs, which is of course a no-no.

They are essentially the same. Rogers or Telstra makes no difference, they are both the Snapdragon S4 version of the One X/XL. ROMs are interchangeable. How did this have anything to do with flashing a ROM for the international version?
My main point of my previous post, if you are mixed up, confused, etc. about any aspect of what you are doing when flashing ROMs or doing other mods, STOP, DO NOT PROCEED. Figure it out before proceeding, as you see what the consequence of not doing so is . . . a sexy looking paperweight.

Do you have the 2.20 hboot? I imagine you do if you just rooted today. If that is the case you're lucky since hboot partition is read only and cannot be clobbered. Just re-flash TWRP recovery via fastboot and flash a ROM for the one XL and you should be good to go.
If you have pre-2.20 hboot you might be bricked.

You're bricked, sorry. There is a way out if you have access to a Linux computer; see that other thread.
yea same here cant even get into recovery, same error sound when connected to the pc. Dont have access to a linux computer, No effect when i try to put in recovery mode or anything. Looks like im going to have to get a new phone
Try the steps here:

Everyone has access to a linux computer, you download a live cd, burn it and then restart your computer to boot into linux

Is this confirmed to work on One X's bricked from flashing international ROMs? I've seen it mentioned several times before that Qualcomm download mode can be recovered from using a Linux computer. But this is the first time I've actually seen the instructions. And it really doesn't look all that complicated.
Seems like quite a few people that have bricked (by flashing international ROMs) would benefit from this, and it deserves its own thread.

Cannot confirm if this can fix a corrupted hboot partition, but it's worth a shot. Haven't found any solid guides for pushing a new hboot partition to the phone while in this mode yet. Also do not want to brick my phone to test it

Totally possible. I don't recall, or haven't seen it. I've seen a few posts to the effect of "if you have Linux, it can be fixed, PM me" but that is all I've seen. Would be nice if there was a writeup we can point people to (and I can add to my index thread).
Go to Evo 4g LTE forum and go to original development. 1st page should have a thread by yarrimapirate about downgrade. He recently figured how to brick, downgrade hboot and get s-off from QHuSB. Mode. The guys is a genius. That thread may have some answers or at least some help or info for you. People in that thread are stepping over themselves trying to help people.
Good luck.
I'd post a link, but I know as soon as I step out of this thread I'll never find it again (xda app)
Edit: go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1940512
[HBOOT][10/24/12] 1.15/1.19 downgrade tool (Linux)
hurled from my AOKP'd Evo LTE. Enjoy.
