Hi,
I am looking to upgrade the firmware on this tablet, I thought initially it was a rebadged tablet based on some other piece of kit but, by the looks of it, having had a mooch round the interwebs, this is not the case.
Can anyone else with more experience shed any light on it, or would a stock cyanogenmod firmware work?
Any help would be much apreciated

Hey everyone,
I am looking to purchase a new android phone as my old HTC Dream finally gave out on me x.x

And yes, i realize they are all china phones, but hey, the chinese android epad works better then the motorola xoom in my opinion.....

I've been offered the above tablet from a friend for £75 and was wondering if anyone thought it was worth buying at that price 2nd hand and if anyone has managed to root it and install a custom rom on it.
it's currently got android 2.1 and firmware 1.02

Last week I bought an android-running tablet that looks like a clone of the Ipad Mini. My problem is, I can't seem to identify it's exact model. Being the chinese-made generic type, I can't get hold of the firmware to update it to JB 4.2.2. Although it's running 4.1 version, the wi-fi reception is just too weak for me. I heard updating it to the latest firmware somehow improves it on that department. So I attached snapshots here hoping some of you guys could identify it, and maybe point me to the updates I've been looking for. Maybe give me a hint what other firmwares I could use on it too. Thanks in advance guys!

I reset and had this disa crap pop up, I don't have this.
Mostly looking for a stock ROM, I know the disa crap is there, but I plan to upgrade some old games so they work with this tablet.
If any ROM is available it would be much appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of these devices Gen2i or Gen3 being rooted with a custom android room or linux distro. A lot of these things around not getting repurposed just garbaged, wondering if they are good for anything else.

sorry to bump an older thread, but I'm very interested in this as well. My employer has at least five or six of the older Gen2i pods that are just collecting dust. Mersive did not want them back when we upgraded to Gen3 pods, and I'd hate to throw them to ewaste. From what I understand they're just running a custom Android ROM. In theory we should be able to flash a stock Android ROM to it and potentially use it as an Android TV box, or something similar. I'd love to learn how to do this and avoid having these totally usable little devices end up in a landfill.
I took one of our Gen2i Pods apart and it appears to be SK hynix branded, but I couldn't find anything on this in a Google search. This is beyond my level of expertise so I'm very much out of my element here. I'd be interested and appreciative in any info anyone is able to provide.
From what I can make out, it states "sk hynix h9cknnndbtmt arnth 515a"
