I've compiled a present for you. It's AOKP 4.2.1 for our Sensation!!! It's compiled form the source of Dragunkorr

that should be as good as the dk build, because the rom is based on his source.
How good is the battery life? What is the gaming performance like? (In other words, can I play Temple Run 2 without lag for hours and without the battery running out? )

Ok, I'll test it tomorrow Can you change or get rid of the quicksettings that are built into android 4.2 and can you replace them with aokp ones?

no, because aokp uses also the quicksettings in their 4.2.1 build.

yes, 1080 video playback is working. i have now a link for the gapps of dk which have photosphere.

Couple of bugs / good effort though
I tried this (very) briefly. Couple of problems to report and, have had to revert back to the CM10.1 4.2.1 build I was using previously.
From a fresh install, following a full wipe (only installed GApps 20121212 afterwards)
Camera causes Gallery to force close. Gallery itself loads fine. Even though it was a fresh install, I still tried clearing data for Gallery with no improvement.
Wifi Tethering - Doesn't work at all, guessing this is down to the same problems that other devs had experienced with wpa_supplicant.
Didn't test much else as I really need to have Wifi tethering up and working within the next hour or so.
Good effort though, I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for this one as I quite like the AOKP builds

Please stop discussion pro/contra dragunkorr here. DK is banned from xda and any discussion that produces issues will lead to trouble. This rom is tolerated for the moment as its compiled by the OP, not a direct copy of DK-Rom. Should that change, the thread will be closed as the work of a banned user is automatically also not allowed here.

Finally the port is done!
This rom is a porting of android 2.3.4 from optimus net, it is fully working except some bugs (see the end of the post).
First of all, thanks to all people who carried on this port (especially to gianvolpe and hecatae).

camcorder's zoom doesn't work
no sim contacts recognised
no autofocus
strange crashes when you charge the phone and it is turned off (remove the battery to solve)
tethering works only with 3rd party apps
HOW TO INSTALL:
You need latest gingerbread baseband (v20g).
Reboot in recovery
Partition SD card
wipe cache,data and dalvik + format system.
Finally flash the zip and reboot the phone.
Now the ROM has been succesfully flashed!
If you notice lags and you think that the rom is not fast enough, please flash paolo's v6 touchfix kernel.

actually i have not enough time to make some screenshots....wait some minutes and flash the rom
you need gingerbread baseband installed.
Nice to see some real development work, not just a quick abandonware kitchen job like some other 'roms' we've seen lately...
If you could list the major differences between our stock P500 rom and the Optimus Net rom you have developed in the first post (you probably already plan to anyway) that would be great and probably save a bunch of questions later (probably not with some...)

i have not developed the rom....gianvolpe started the developement, then hecatae made gps, sensors, wifi (and maybe something other) working, finally i made camera working.
it is a stock 2.3.4 rom probably fully working and rooted.

it is smoother, faster, better graphic performance....
No need to open new thread, if you fixed the camera with the opro libs you should put that on the original thread where gianvolpe and hecatae were doing the port

This ROM is just a nightly KANG of the up-to-date AOKP sources, with added AROMA installer (and my GApps). Every bug exists what is in the latest release of the official one, to day.

You need to prepare it a bit, like, remove the bootanimation (the script automatically adds one upon install). It is also getting prepared to not just include AOKP, but any build of CM9, CNA, Team EOS ROMs, or even stock ASUS.
I will send you the generic AROMA installer, with further instructions later today (or tomorrow), privately.

it has the same bugs as cm10, read OP, +1 for other questions, and lolation got one more question, i love the image quality of photos done with remics-jb, does this rom as the same features to have such a good pics ?
the same defect as CM10
This is not a compilation but a port on the base A3 CM10
All Regarding the kernel I cannot do anything

Everythin works well, the only problem is that there is a lag when the status bar is pulled down!

discontinued due to the DISGUSTING behaviour of the user who called me a kanger. Thank him for the work being stopped. Over on sensation forum I NEVER got called a kanger from ANY user. It seems this child thinks I too another rom which is android 4.1.2 updated it to 4.2.2 and released it. Lol little does her know that such things can NOT be done.
You can't update a Rom in such a way. Doing this would render the Rom unbootable as you can NOT update ib this way. This is the exact reason android is released by VERSIONS and NOT updated by changing files in the same rom. If you wish to belive a NOOB then be my guest but either way work on sagasation will NEVER be continued and all links have been removed. Should any developer wish to see my working folders to see which Rom it originates from please PM me I will HAPPILY gIVE YOU ACESS.

How do you advance with the Sense5 project?
Flashed the ROM and I should say, it's pretty good. I'm now on other ROM though, not because this is a bad ROM, but because, I don't really like TouchWiz.
The ROM is really good and pretty smooth.
To all who are asking about sense 5 port.
I started but then stopped. This is because I have started to port kernel 3.4 from once s villec2 for better support with sense 4+ and sense 5. Once i have the kernel booting up and stable everything on sense 5 and sense 4+ will be working. Drivers will be a pain but having a sense kernel 3.4 will be a huge stepping stone for our device. Thanks and now lets keep it on topic. Xx
I accidently left out the stock email app in v2.0 and the 1 I left in is Samsung app which does not work. Will remove and replace with stock email app in v3.0 thanks.

The 1st build will have the brightness error bug but I will do my best to correct that issue. Thanks
try this:
Blind, I just said that, let's do again. You have to add this line into the Boardconfig.mk: TARGET_NO_HW_VSYNC := true, cause we haven't got vsync (f*ckin mddi display ), but the Desire HD/S (non-mddi version) has, that's why that line doesn't exist in the Andromadus msm7x30-common. With this change, the screen will work again.

As some of you know, some of most popular XDA developers, presented new ROM, oriented to new features, performance, and community.
ROM was just released few hours ago, so we are one of first devices to get it.
ROM is very smooth, because its based on AOSP. No lockscreen lag!
Primary aim of this is to list bugs, and collect a logcats, so we help development of this newly created ROM in general.
Bugs:
- USB Mounting (try 3rd party apps) [Will be fixed in next build]
- RIL [Will be fixed in next build}
- Video recording
- Bluetooth
- Laggy bootanimation [Will be fixed in next build]
- Glitchy browser (try using 3rd party apps like Chrome)
Download pre-alpha
Please report bugs if not listed above! And collect logcats!
Note 1: This ROM also have included google keyboard (gesture typing).
Note 2: This ROM contains sweep2wake, but no userspace control yet.
Note 3: You may face Status 7, in that case, delete some apps you don't need from zip.
One more time - this is not for daily use. Just testing!

Since this is a pre-alpha, its too early to say anything... But I am getting a taste of AOSP perhaps (as the ROM is new maybe ) Hope the features are pumped up... They at IRC #omnirom were discussing cool features to bring to omnirom, so, I'd wait for a later release. P.S. 270 MB actual free RAM at boot :laugh: Hope this continues in later builds too :fingers-crossed:

A few of the Nexus devices were the first to be supported but a big majority of devices will be able to run Omni. As long as the device can run AOSP ROMs it'll be able to run this

tried the rom....!
the rom has a lot of potential...!
not much of a lag
the script 40int2ext doesnt work
the launcher needs a bit of resizing
the network isnt working
and most of the features are no added (i understand its a prealpha build just helping the op by telling him the things to be fixed )
the performace section has lot of cool features i see
waiting for a totally stable build ....!!!

i've fixed the launcher dimensions and most probably ril.however to be a daily driver,it needs loads of patches.i'm trying to merge all the needed hacks upstream,as the OMNI team are kinder compared to CM
can u post the bootanimation.zip from this zipp ill try to resize it

XDA Developers TV just uploaded Full video of OmniROM presentation. As you may noticed, this ROM looks really much like AOSP, but that's going to change soon, they added some really nice and original features, that are still under the testing.
Looking forward too this rom gonna be a killer against cm pa aokp
I mean multi window would that be possible be in pico I guess :sly::sly:
