Which mhl HDMI adapter works best? i535 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

M.A.D.gs3

Get the official Samsung one and don't mess around with any of the third party ones. It's expensive, but from everything I've read it's the only one that really works. Make sure you get the 11 pin for the S3, NOT the 5 pin.

Yeh that's the one I bought awhile back but its crap, every few seconds it drops out.

Are you sure it was the official Samsung one? I only ask because I ordered what was advertised as the official one on Amazon but it wasn't.
I actually ended up getting a mini hdmi cable for my old Droid X to hook up to the tv since it was cheaper and it works great.

If you just want a 6 foot extension , then you can use this USB 3.0 cable between the PS and the smaller transformer cable:
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-6-Fe...CAQ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320543979&sr=8-1
is that one confirmed to ne working because like i said i bought the amazon branded one and its a no go

Think it has to be 3.0 cable for it to work as it requires more connections
return and get a 3.0 cable to see if it works for you. the only reason i could say that it charged is because it could be asleep meaning it charging from pc.

As far as i know, all USB cables are the exact same...
There is definitely a difference in quality, but I haven't had any problems sticking with any supplied cable. I did have some issues with my 3 for a dollar eBay crap, and my walmart brand cable though.
Edit, by supplied cable i mean any cable from a known manufacturer. Amazon brand cables seem to work fine for me, usually i use that or my old motorola cable.
I use my old Motorola cable because I got my GS3 as an exchange from Verizon. I have also used my kindle fire cable and noticed no difference. As said above a crap 3 dollar cable may not but the other should.

Turning my Skyrocket into kind of a GoogleTV

Now that I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I'm thinking of turning my Skyrocket into a google TV. I have the MHL/HDMI cable, which I ordered from ebay. The picture on the phone is mirrored to the TV.
Yesterday I tried playing a Netflix video (using the official netflix app) from the phone onto the TV. But it was very pixelated. When I did the same thing from a laptop using the HDMI out the picture quality was aaaaa lot better.
Anybody else know why this might be?
Has anybody else used or using their skyrocket as their entertainment hub? How is it working out for you?
Since the skyrocket only has 480p netflix only sends that down. So that 480p is stretched across your tv it doesnt look good.

A suggestion:
You'll be much better off by selling your Skyrocket and buying one of the Android TV sticks. They go dirt cheap, even the dual-core ones, and you'll get decent performance, full HD, tablet interface, and if you pick carefully - even Linux can be booted on it. And you'll stay with extra $$$ in your pocket.
Or you could buy a Google TV just saying lol.

Good point. But I can't sell my skyrocket because the screen is shattered.
But I think I'll get a Google TV stick like the mk808.

What do you mean, isn't the note 2 a Google TV? Why do you need another? Lol!

I did the same thing with my skyrocket. Using the mhl cable I got with an old infuse And it worked well only pixilated for about a minute or two. Could it be your tv? Or internet connection?

Official Samsung Dock with Nexus 4 Quick Review

Just wanted to make a quick review since i didn't find one in the whole forum and on google, about the official samsung dock, paired with our beloved Nexus 4, in the past few days i took the time to inspect the Nexus 4 size VS the official dock size and came to the conclusion that it would fit, so i bought it, a few days later BOOM new dock and when i tried my theory... well it worked like a charm =) it fits perfectly and look great Just take a look it fits perfectly, charging is as fast as directly connected, i will keep updating this thread with more details, right not i don't have a 3.5 mm AUX cable to test it, but it's a complete "GO" to the people thinking of getting one, thanks for reading folks.
What Samsung model is that dock made for?
Looks like the universal Samsung dock.

Okay we really need to know about the audio out function, because otherwise this is nothing more than a glorified usb cable. Can't you just test it with headphones?
Yes please test axillary function

You must of died.
But anyways. I own this dock as my girlfriend uses it with her S2.
-Aux port does not do anything with the Nexus 4.
-Daydreams do not turn on either (unless set to activate while charging as well)
This dock is just a fancy wall charger for the N4.

How much was that dock? I use a official Samsung dock as well but its a different one then yours. I paid 11 bucks I believe.

10.1 and 7.0 cables

Hello. I bought my 8 year old brother a tab 2 7" for his birthday. I pulled it out of the box to charge it and set it up before he gets it on sunday and noticed the extremely short charge cable. I know my gs3 and note 2 came with nice long cables. My question is, are the cables from the ORIGINAL tab 10.1 and 7 the same and the tab 2's? I am having trouble finding long cables made for the tab 2 7.0. But I am finding lots of tgem for the original tabs and the 10.1. Thanks for any help

I got the following cable for charging my 3113:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008AJNF78/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1367279987&sr=8-3&pi=SL75
It is not listed as supporting the second generation tabs though. I have connected it to my PC a couple of times for data transfers.

Yes, I used a GTab 10.1 cable on my GTab 2 7.0 once.
Thats just what I was looking for. He only needs it for charging anyways. If any data transfer would be needed I would use the stock cable. Thanks again.
