So I have an lg G-slate v909 and its currently got android 3.1 but id like to update it to the newest android os. I'm new and don't know how to do this manually as, from what I've been reading, is what needs to be done. I also only have this tablet and my Samsung galaxy s2 phone to access the internet and no PC access currently. I am not subscribed through tmobile just use wifi on the tablet.
Also, I am taking online classes and need to beable to access the mymathlab flash site application and am unable to do so on my tablet through any browser. If anyone could help me with that too, I would be incredibly greatful.
I posted under the android q&a but haven't got any hits so I thought id try here.
Thanks so much.

Hi All,
I am having a little issue with my 10" Zentithink Epad Tablet. I am trying to get the android market downloaded on it.
I know there is slide 4.0, but the other is so much better.
We are running the 2.1 software. We have tryed to do the upload from Zentithink U.S website but my tablet is showing up as a HTC Dream on my laptop rather then a unknown device. It is also linked to a Gmail account so It would have to have a Android ID , right?
I have downloaded some small things from other markets online( angry bird, paper toss, etc) via SD card and Slide 4.0, without any problems
I am hoping someone can lead me to a place where I can download the market or guide me through the process of downloading it.
Oh I have done a reset but no luck there.
Thanks
There is a thread dedicated to the ZT-180 already, you should find most of your answers there.......good luck

If its an app you should be able to remove it on your PC. Also try removing it with root explorer or the terminal emulator.
I have an HP Touchpad that I purchased on Ebay that I can't seem to get activated through Webos. I want to install Android on the tablet as the primary OS and I would like to know both is there a way to bypass the first time user activation and install Android on the tablet and second if I will ever be able to use Webos in the future on the tablet? If you can get me the links to the files or information to complete the process I would greatly appreciate it. I am a noob so thanks for any help that I can get.

The webos activation server should still be working - Last week I went through the activation process again after resetting webos.
If you get your installation files on the touchpad, you should be fine even without activating it. Try to connect the touchpad as USB drive or in usb mode.
Install Android on Unactivated Touchpad
Hi. I'm having the same problem. I don't want or need WebOS. Did you get this running? Any tips you have? Thanks.
Hello,
I just bought this, it's not a major brand and so I knew I wasn't going to have everything as easy as my samsung phone and here's my first problem.
I have two apps I want to install that won't which are Wase and Escort Live, both traffic apps. Both when I go to the android app. store give me a "This item is not compatible with your device." message.
The OS is the same version as my Samsung Note 2 phone (4.4.2) which has both those apps. and I question if there really is a compatibility issue that would matter.
So, is there way to find out exactly what the app is looking for that it can't find that's making it incompatible?
Is there a way of installing an app. even if playstore thinks there's a problem? Maybe there's an app that will make a device look like to playstore it's got what the app. wants?
I bought this device to experiment with, not so much as a work tool, so I have no problem rooting it or whatever if needed although it's rare enough there might not be a known way to root it.
Any help appreciated.
Hello everyone i have a question for you that will make a choice for me to root/modify/upgrade (or whatever you guys doing) my tablet or just leave it alone.
First of all i have a Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition tablet running Android 4.0.4. I have software and hardware experience on pc windows and linux but not so much on android.
My main problem with my tablet is its running Android 4.0.4 and when i tried to install apps (especially multimedia apps like netflix , bein connect and youtube) it says my device is not compatible. And in general my tablet feels slower to when i bought it first time about 5 years ago.
My questions are;
1-Would i be able to upgrade android to newer editions at least android 5.0.0? I am asking this because my phone has android 5.0.0 and i have no problems with apps as of now.
2-If i root/modify android can i run apps like netflix and youtube or there are more problems waiting?
3-Would modifying help the speed of tablet or would it slow it down even more? Like trying to install windows 8 on a windows xp level of pc.
I'm asking these because i dont want to spend days just to find out it was not the answer i was looking for.
I hope i made myself clear please add any suggestion or roadmaps for a newbie like me. Thanks in advance.
Technically rooting doesn't allow you to upgrade your version of Android, it's the custom recovery you install that does. If there's a custom ROM out there that supports your old tablet it will work. Youtube is unaffected by root and I don't think Netflix is either. Finally, rooting technically could help the speed of your tablet if you change things like disabling fsync or running TRIM, but rooting itself doesn't change performance. Just be warned that there might not be a Lollipop or newer custom rom for your tablet!
