Before Start lets talk about "Sixaxis Controller App"
Sixaxis Controller:Let you pair your Dualshock3 PS3 Controller to your Android Device Wireless-Bluetooth with only Root Access.If you are not a rooted Device you can just buy a USB Cable that lets Micro USB Connect with a Mini USB thats on Dualshock3 Controller.Sixaxis Controller also let you Key map touch profiles to access games that are not allowed to use with a Gamepad Automatocally.Example=Modern Combat 3.
If you are a Non-rooted Device and you are plug-in your Dualshock Controller with Cable the Android will understand it Automatocally that a Gamepad is connected.But if you want to put on Touch Profiles you can use Sixaxis Controller with Cables also!

Need a little help... I can pair the ps3 controller fine, I can also create my own map profile and save it. I can then subsequently 'see' the profile in the sixaxis app and can select it. However when I play mc4, it acts like it can't 'see' my profile and/or the sixaxis app at all... it just uses the default controls and my right analog isn't working... any advice would be appreciated.

I simply didn't have the controller paired properly to six axis, i.e. I didn't start the app, pair the controller, THEN launch the game. Thanks.

To know sometimes sixaxis controller has some Touch Emolution Problems.When u hit the start button if in the logs it says Cant start touch emolution just remove it from multitask and try to pair the controller again

Yes it works with every PS3 Controller.Sixaxis,Dualshock blue red black.
Darn I bought a third party ps3 controller, but my nexus doesn't recognize it with the cable plugged in.

Yea gator nailed this one, has to be the real deal. I tried my $15 "Praystation" knock-off with the sixaxis app, and it was a definite no go. Legit Sony one worked fine though. Picked one up a brand new one on craigslist for $20 if you're in the market for one.

None games of Gameloft supports automatocally gamepad.
But i have Key Maps for Some gameloft games that i will upload soon:

MC4:ZH
NOVA3
I also suggest you Madfinger games that doesnt need key map.

Fpsece is truly amazing. Everthing I throw at it works. Ps3 bluetooth keypad works well with it also.

You don`t need drivers for tg01
just set your phone to par with the keypad. when asked for the key enter 7878 on your phone then 7878 on the keypad. All done it should just work after this.

did you mean ps3keypad (the one that clips onto actuall pad) or the actual ps3 dualshock as my tg01 wont detect the pad

ps3keypad not gamepad. I can assure you it works fine.
Just do as I said in my previouse post.

Remember to set pad in descovery mode by holding left shoulder button as you turn on power switch.

I tried this a couple of Weeks ago as I figured it could be picked up as it uses bluetooth. Turned on the Pad, turned on the TGO1 bluetooth's discover and and the only device it found was next doors phone.

Yes You need to set the keypad in discoverable mode also. Do this by holding the left shoulder button whilst switching on the keypad hold it until the lights flash alternating. Then do search devices with the tg01. then enter key 7878 on phone then on keypad type 7878. It should then connect. It really dose work great even in email and apps/games.

Been messing around with various setups for game controllers on the 7.0 Plus and thought I'd share.
First off, Samsung has not included the normal USB game controller drivers that e.g. Asus has started putting in their tablets. ICS might fix that, but right now, connecting something directly does nothing.
There are plenty of apps out there to try to help this. USB/BT JoyCenter is an app that promises to help get USB controllers working, however it did nothing for my PS3 sixaxis controller, which the developer says is due to missing USB apis from Samsung's side (I am using the official USB connection kit, if anyone was wondering how I got anything USB connected).
Bluetooth connectivity for PS3 controllers require an app that in turn requires root to use, so unless you're rooted, forget that.
So to the upside: Wiimotes work! There are a couple of apps that help get them working, of which I've found Wiimote Controller to be most reliable. It will connect to the wiimote over BT and convert button presses to keyboard buttons that can be mapped in games that support that. Wiimote attachments also work, and I'm using a Wii Classic Pro controller plugged into the wiimote to give me a button setup that is identical to the ps2/3 and hence have enough buttons for any console emulator. The downside is that the analog stick isn't analog - i.e. they work as 4 button d-pads - but otherwise it works great.

I have the same setup as you at the moment. I tested the PS3/Siaxxis and it works (rooted), but I haven't dropped $50 on a controller yet.

I can't say for certain. I just ran the sixaxxis test app using a friends PS3 controller.
The analogue sticks work on the PS3 controllers, but they are both mapped the same as the D-pad. It works great in Fpse. I haven't monkeyed with the settings enough to get it to work with nesoid/snesoid yet, but it should work (i can configure the controller in the 'noid settings, but haven't sussed how to make it work in game yet).

Strange that in Fpse the controller maps as physical hardware and not a bluetooth device. the 'oid apps threw me off by being logical.
Xbox controller works out of the box with USB otg adapter, USB joystick center app and the USB wireless adapter for connecting Xbox controllers to a pc
Last but not least, Sixaxis Controller works. It requires root, but the Bluetooth hardware/software in the tab is compatible. With this system you can map buttons to part of the screen, emulating touch, making it possible both to have e.g. full analog controls in emulators AND map controls for games that only have touch controls
I'm assuming it does, but can verify if the sixaxis controller works with the onlive app?

I think there is a key mapping tutorial for that game on the USB/BT Joystick Center developer's forum, find it via the link in the description on Market. Only played with GTA briefly, to see that it worked
An add-on to USB/BT Joystick Center has been released that allows for touch emulation on rooted devices. basically means that now you can get controllers other than the ps3 one to have a working analog stick and work with games that only have touch buttons. works with the 7.0 plus since the latest update to the add-on, had it running perfectly with an x360 controller

**STEP-BY-STEP**
1. Devices must be ROOTED first. Any rooting method will works (u tell me). if u dont know to ROOT, go HERE
2. buy and download Sixaxis Controller apk from Playstore then install and RUN it. follow the instructions, ALLOW it if superuser ask u.
Press Start for first time, app will detect Ur phone Bluetooth (BT) address (see on bottom screen). if appear, NOTE that address n Press Stop.
3. Install Sixaxis Pairtool exe on ur PC/Notebook (im using windows) then RUN, and connect ur Gamepad to PC, wait until the Driver installed.
u'll see a gamepad BT address on 'Current Master'
this now is Ur CURRENT Gamepad bluetooth address, we must changed it to Ur phone BT address.
FILL the empty box w/ Ur phone BT address, then Press Update (only do it once) and uplug USB cable, wait until LED gamepad stop blink.
4. again, RUN sixaxis controller app, Press Start. see on screen, wait until it show 'Listening for Controller......'
on ur gamepad, Press PS button, 4 LED will blink fast, wait for a while........
on screen, it will say 'Client connected: 1', 4LED gamepad will change to 1LED fixed if connected to Ur phone (it mean Ur gamepad connected as Player 1).
Press 'Change IME', choose 'Sixaxis Controller'.
VIOLA......... ur gamepad connected to Ur lovely phone :victory:

[GUIDE] Touch Profil for Touchscreen game control
Here's a simple way to create TOUCH PROFIL for Ur game do u want :thumbup:
I hope you can understand
-> take ur game screenshot for define where the touch button are. (i.e. Inotia 4 for this tutorial)
-> create a new touch profile using the Sixaxis Controller app, Press Menu > Preferences > Touch Emulation > Edit Touch Profiles
-> Double tap anywhere then will show popup the touch profile menu.
-> Tap 'Change Background then select the screenshot where it save. rotate the background if that wrong.
-> first i begin to make analog touch. Press Menu > Add Button then locate the 'Analog_Left' here.
U can make analog buttons bigger to cover more touch area. tap the analog button that u created once, then drag the 'Green' ring that popsup around it outward.
To bring up a buttons properties (like sensitivity), tap on the button then Press Menu, see 'Button Properties'.
-> once completed, follow this way to make the other buttons. (this's my personal reference).
-> make sure U save Ur touch profile after U make any changes. To save the profile, double tap anywhere and then tap 'Save Profile'. i name it the same as the game for(i.e. inotia). FINISH !!!
-> back to the main screen of Sixaxis. Before U play game, pair the PS3 gamepad to Ur phone. then U should see 'Active Touch Profile'. Tap the box 'None' and change it to the touch profile U just created (inotia)
LETS PLAY.......
-> U can create a touch profile for many any game that uses touch screen controls. just take screenshot on Ur game do U want create, then follow my tutorial above
-> The touch profiles that U create and save are located at '/sdcard/data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/profiles/'. touch profiles should have extension *.map (i.e. inotia.map)

In order to import maps:
1. Download the maps by clicking on the map links on my posts. Unzipped the file.
2. Copy map files to your device root directory.
3. Using the Sixaxis Controller App from the main screen hit:
Menu button >> Touch Emulation >> Edit Touch Profiles >> Hit Menu Button Again >> Load Profile >> Import
Then find where you put the map file on your device (It might be best to copy your map files to the root directory as this is the default place that import looks in first)
Make sure you save the profile before exiting!

Are you trying to pair your PS3 controller? if so you no longer need to use your pc to do this. the Sixaxis Controller app has been updated where you can do it all from the app.
To pair your controller with the Sixaxis Controller app:
1. Connect your PS3 controller to your device's USB.
2. Hit the power button on the controller then hit the Pair Controller button. Once it is finished unplug the USB cable.
3. Make sure the controller is on and hit the start button. if you do not get a success then try again. once you get success you are now ready for action.
This is probably a good add for the first post.

my advice : try reinstall sixaxis pairtool.exe
if asking for download install something (microsoft visual c++ or whatever) then do it. maybe thats a necessary part for running sixaxis pairtool.

I haven't got it to work either, and I tried from scratch many times.
Got the moga power pro is good and the samsung game pad which is a bit rubbish, ps3/4 sixaxis pads needs the extra driver to use like the sixaxis controller app on play store for $ but still cheapest option as u own a controller already.

I'm glad its not just me, I bought the PS3 controller specifically for my note 4, so I didn't know if the controller was bad, or what. I even tried the xposed module bluetooth hack that others have referenced for using with the note 3, but still doesn't work unless I leave it plugged in to the OTG USB, and then it kindof works (I can move the cursor around with the controller), but still isn't detected properly by the sixaxis app.
If anyone gets this working please post.
I'm actually using a Nyko Gamepad, no issues and it also acts as a mouse for the Note 4 and under $25 on ebay new
I caved and just bought the moga hero at target, it wirks awesome and holds the note4 nicely. Probably too small for those with big hands, but its working for me in everything ive tried including emulators.
I hope the author fixes this. I assume its a 4.4.4 issue?

I've used the Sonly PS3 DualShock controller via USB OTG cable. Since the phone wasn't rooted, Sixaxia Controller app does not work.
I played a little GTASA and it worked as expected.
I've had the SixAxis app working with bluetooth. Phone's an Exynos version (if that makes a difference) and is rooted.
I can't remember exactly what I did to get it to work, I think I had to plug it in using the USB cable first then is seemed to pick it up on bluetooth. No xposed modules needed, just SixAxis the controller and a usb OTG cable.
I got the ps3 controller working through Otg, but that's it. I emailed the sixaxis dev to work on this. It will not detect by Bluetooth.

It should be noted, on Dancing Pixels website
Important - Due to the non-standard protocol that the controllers use to communicate with the host, this application requires root access. Additionally, it is incompatible with most HTC devices and some newer Samsung devices. This is due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented on these devices. We are actively looking into a work around, but currently the only solution is to install a custom firmware, such as Cyanogenmod, that supports the required protocols.

Up to now I've tried Real Racing 3, GTA and PicaSim, but according to my previous experience many, many games will work. Favourites of mine being various emulators (I'm sure the PSP emulator will work very nicely with the power in this phone).

I was hoping the controller was in my rucksack - I'd have tested it with various connections/methods with a fresh rom if I did. If I get the chance I'll do it tonight.

And using the touch emulator settings you can map controls for any touchscreen game, in theory.
I completely forgot to test this last night - if I remember I'll try again tonight and see if I can determine what's needed. I think root is probably the only main pre-requisite, and I can't comment on whether the snapdragon version has any differences either.
I am using a PS3 controller with mine just fine, I got some cheapo case to mount it to a gameclip.

I've just downloaded the game on my Samsung S7 Edge, could you please tell me a bit more in detail how to connect it with a Gamepad?
I know I have to use my USB adapter, but what does MHL and SlimPort stand for?

Hi,
You can connect your bluetooth gamepad, dont need the USB adapter. Just pair the bluettoth, enter game options and enable Gamepad option.
With Slimport/MHL/Screen mirroring I mean that you can control the spacecraft with the gamepad and play in your monitor or TV. It is the same than playing the NO VR mode on the phone with a gamepad but in your TV instead.
Smart View is the samsung name for screen mirroring (Screecast) but it can be a bit laggy , so I prefer connect to TV using wire and play with the bluetooth gamepad.
I will try to post a picture of my configuration at home later.

Hi,
To play the NO VR mode, just enter the game setting and disable de VR mode.
Same with the Bluetooth remote, after connecting to the device, enter settings and enable gamepad support inside the game.
About connetin to the TV, it depend on your device model. For example HTC m9 can be connected to the TV using a MHL to HDMI adaptor, but with with nexus 6p you can only connect wirelessly, via screencast. not sure about Galaxy S7.
