woho nice...:good:
confirmed, working on Alliance XXLSC beta1.1. with stock music player
It has a nice eq, i would say smart eq it push my earphones just little bit more to the point where my ears become bleeding  without distorting sound
I must say that I dont prefer all kind of extra, uber, mega bass, compresion, wow enhancement effect...
But this one is realy good! Sounds very natural and have it all without killing the sound:good:

Doesn't work on galactus rom. After flashing it stuck at starting apps

I didnt do anything specific, just flash it normaly (ok I use RomCustomizer because I dont like navigating throug TWRP recovery, but it is the same thing i guess)
it wiped cache and dalvik, starting apps , and booted just normaly. After that I have this in settings>sound

is it working with poweramp?

There are different zip for 4.1 and 4.2 so please take note of that.

It works for me on alliance xxlsc.
So if you want to know is it working for you guys, make a backup of your rom, flash this, and reboot. That is the only way to be sure if it work for you or not

Odexed roms are stock roms (if you flash your rom via pc odin, then it is odexed)
Deodexed roms can be lets say "stock", but they are modified for easy moding and customizing (and you need to flash it through cwm not odin). Every custom rom like alliance, ultimate, angry, rocket are deodexed roms.
So, are you sure which kind of rom you have now?
This mod is not flashable via odin, and dont try flashing this via odin!!
You must read the OP (first page, have a source link, and there are instructions)
If you have odexed (if you flashed your rom via odin, then your rom is odexed), you need to flash Philz kernel (to be safe from brick bug, and rooted)- search in original android developement thread for philz kernel.
At the end, I am not sure is it working on odexed rom, which you are probably have now.

[ROM][ODIN] [3-17-11] EC10 Mesmerize Odin Stock update

****I'm not responsible for what you do to your phone. Love it or hate it, but whatever happens, you are an adult****
This is the EC10 update for the Mesmerize. There is no difference between this one and the official update from the USCC homepage other than I rebuilt this one to work with Odin, instead of Kies.
To use these files, flash in Odin.
#####IF YOU HAVE VOODOO ENABLED, DISABLE LAGFIX BEFORE YOU USE ODIN#####
1. Pull your phone battery
2. Start Odin
3. Click PIT and select the .pit file from the download
4. Check the PDA box, Click PDA and select the .tar.md5 file from the download
5. Plug your phone into the USB port and hold volume down
-your phone should go into download mode
6.Verify that Odin sees your phone.
-if not, try another USB port
7. Click Start
It will look similar to this. -- and when i say similar, I mean 'not exactly like'

Mesmerize EC10 with Stock Recovery
*Removed Root/Voodoo/Custom recovery build. Obsolete with all of the new kernels and recoveries out there now anyway.
*Removed Combo ROM from this thread.
Second! About time you released this. Good work.
any plans to make a deodexed Rom for this? if so as soon as you release it ill start porting themes for it, or with some help...il make a deodexed ROM for this
Is the Combo Rom fully functional or is it missing things like the AOSP Rom is?

Quick question, does this rom require a factory reset/will I lose everything if I flash the rom?
I always backup anyway, just wondering if I should flash this now or wait till I get home and can access my titanium backups.
Also, do I need to do the odin flash first (like when going to the 2.2 PnP's) or can I just flash the rom on it's own?

Gotta use odin first just like the other builds, then flash the custom rom/kernel package.
Thanks phidelt, as always you are the man and very much appreciated!
Can I flash the old voodoo kernal for the EC10+custom recovery or will I have to download the rom to get voodoo?

I'm thinking that the AOSP part is the kernel (or at least part of it) and it's voodoo and faster than our previous one - but I could be way off. I'm about to find out just getting the files downloaded.
Phidelt would have to advise on whether EA11 kernel would work but I would imagine it would considering it did with the last two and this is just closer to being polished off, no major changes.
Is MMS and bluetooth working in the hybrid rom?

[Q] DDKQ5 and XXKQ2

Hi,
I am quite noob with all things android, i have a question, though this may be a bit stupid... though so far i have learned how to flash with Odin and how to root my G-Fit.
I am trying to install the Deodexed XXKQ2 ROM Revamped (pratyush.creed), though it says there that "You Need to Have XXKQ2 installed."
as far as i know, and by using Samsung Kies, i have this, i know it is a stock ROM... (please look at the screen shot i have)

so, is what i have the same as XXKQ2? and can i install "Deodexed XXKQ2 ROM Revamped" without a problem if I follow all the steps per dot?
and will i be able to install "FITDroid v2.0" as well, if I currently have the DDKQ5 Stock ROM or after putting in the "Deodexed XXKQ2 ROM Revamped"? i wanted to try the Flash Player 10.3 that is said to work with "FITDroid v2.0"...
thanks for answering my questions...
It is greatly appreciated

So you want FITDroid on your phone?
1. try installing vishwanathptl deodexed rom through odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190458 (for better performance on FITDroid that's what vish said)
2. then install FITdroid http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277759 (tutorials for installing the FITDroid rom is already on that thread)
good luck!

I actually followed those already, so i was able to install the Dodexed ROm, without a problem i believe...
But with the FitDroid... it was said that the first boot will take long... so im on that stage... but how long will it really take?
I've been waiting for probably more than 10mins now... I was able to see the FitDroid boot up screen..
It stayed there for a while but now it is just showing an empty black screen...
Is there something wrong already? or should i still wait?
DDKQ5 and XXKQ2
and with regards to my first question about DDKQ5 and XXKQ2, i can say it might be different...
Cause i tried it, got bored of waiting... LOL!
but it doesn't seem to work...
so therefor those two might be different...

FitDroid v2.0 Waiting
Ok, so i just flashed my G-Fit with the FitDroid.zip.... it may have already worked...
i guess earlier i missed the part where i have to get into clockwork recovery to flash the update.
now it seemed to have gone further that it did earlier...
I'll just try it to see if everything works well...
Now, i just noticed....
before i got FitDroid and was just running on Basic Deodexed ROM, i see that when i have the wall paper on the home screen, i can see the wall paper from the app drawer, but on FitDroid it doesn't show...
so my last two questions are, is it possible to have that same kind of interface by installing a theme for FitDroid?
and if it keep on flashing different ROMs on my phone, will i encounter any problems?

Yes....
You can try the theme files from Deodexed ROM.....
Just replace them with the current ones by using Root Explorer app or ADB to get a translucent UI.....
Also you can try Flash Player 10.3 on any ROM...
The previous Flash Player 10.1 and 10.2 worked only with Deodexed ROMs but as far as I know, Flash Player 10.3 works with Odex ROMs too...

FitDroid Follow-Up
Well upon playing with FitDroid, i found out that the apps2SD is not working, it won't turn on that function...
it says something like, i don't have the kernel that will work with it...
how do i uninstall this app? or how do i make it work?

NO.. Freeze what u want from TB.
It looks very nice, I like the simplistic approach. Thanks for taking the time to work on this!
One thing I'd like to know about Bravia Engine: did you have to do anything to port it or did a ported version from another device work on the A2?

EDITED- BEST ROM EVER. The issues I had must have been something weird. Bad download, shady install... I don't know. What I do know is the second time I installed this ROM its working beautifully. Appologies to the Dev. You obviously took your time with this. Great work! This is the first ROM I've used where I actually like the stock launcher. This ROM is very battery friendly and everything I've tryed so far works as advertised. Including CWM on boot + GPS.
Thank you Googler_1976! Very nice work!

On the positive side... I like the notification screen, phone pad dialer, the whole system seems very smooth and quick. I might take another look at this when I have more time. Thanks for your efforts! You will make a lot of people happy with this.
@cogeary,
Thanks for the sequence on the Play Store. I'll give that a try next time I install this.

I think I like enough tor use. Couple things... Google play store keeps force closing. I deleted cache and data and I'm getting force closes still. I repaired permissions as well. CWM on boot doesn't appear to be working. Not sure why. Is the lockscreen supposed to have an almost double image of a lock and unlock? Seems like it shouldn't? Keyboard is throwing up weird images of keys and freezing spuratically. Sorry for my spelling.

Had to cancel download so I haven't been able to download and flash yet so I don't know about the lockscreen or keyboard. However, I know that the market/play store will FC if you flash /system without clearing data... to fix it just clear cache+data, uninstall updates, then leave it open for a minute or two to update.
How do you make roms? Do u use the android kitchen? Im interested in making (yet another) rom for the a2

Very exciting. 7zip Rom makers like me are happy to see this. I hope to start putting a Rom together this weekend.

All bloat is there. This is simply a deodexed base (and it is AWESOME!!!). You will have to remove bloat yourself. :cyclops:
Thanks. Downloading know!

Sony Bravia Engine is used for processing how pictures and videos are shown. Sony got a lot of good remarks on their phones for having some of the best screens on the market, and it is not because of the screens themselves, but the processing for the video and pictures. I have ported that into this rom as I find it does do an amazing job.

Yes, my bad for not saying so. I thought that might be a given. I will add it to my main post!

No bloat is still there. I have a debloated-ish verison I have been using, but I don't feel it is ready to be released yet. It won't just be .apk deleted. I am aiming to optimize and remove as much other crap as possible.

[MOD][ICS]Volume Steps Increase[CWM][Deodexed]

Hello Friends,
Presenting my mod for Galaxy R - Volume Step Increase
This is not a mod for increasing the system volume. It Just modifies the steps for increasing the volume. By Default, the system has 15 steps for Media Volume. After this mod, the system will have 30 steps for Media Volume. This will help you in fine tuning the selection of volume for your music.
Installation Procedure:
Reboot to CWM recovery
Mount System
Flash the attached zip
Reboot
No Need of Wipe

It's a really good idea
For me the media volume is still 15. I also installed audio manager there also it shows maximum of 15. I used CWMv4 to flash the zip file and it gave the message successfully installed. Since i am using CWMv4, there is no need to mount system. Please help.

Try mounting the system and flash it buddy though being in CWMv4. Still if doesn't work, extract the zip. You will find a file called framework.jar. Push it to /System/framework. Reboot.
Nice

Hi Selva,

I will provide the file for odexed ROM when i reach home buddy. Try with that and let me know. CWM version may not be a problem.
Please port it for odexed version and keep up the good work.

Sure buddy. Was bit busy in some other testing. so was not able to port it. Will do for sure.
How could I manually do this? I'm using a different device and rom but the procedure should still be the same shouldnt it since I'm running ics (AOKP on my note).

I think this is the Guide.
For me as a Galaxy S3 Stock User (Omega ROM) isn't found a way for now. I hope somebody finds out soon how to change the volume steps on Samsung Stock Devices with Jelly Bean.
