Hi all !
I am new here and as i used to read XDA threads to complete my knowledge and follow Faryaab for the super nexus rom.
There is something i don't understand : if i want to post in the developpment part (Super Nexus 2.0 thread for me) i need to have had posted 10 messages. I want to report a bug to help the developper but because of the rules i would have to post 10 messages anywhere before posting in the development part... But that's stupid and i don't want to do this..
So ?
Thanks
(I am French so i apologize for my english)
So you can post in 10 threads (but don't spam) or PM the developer.
But that's stupid and i don't want to do this..

If u want to do reporting pm the dev... u should have posted atleast ten before u can post in dev thread...it may seem stupid but its not sctually...othetwise noobs will come and spam easily...with this rule little spam can be avoided...if u want ten posts, post in some qa threads..lakhs of threads are there...

Hmm as a cartesian i would say a noob could come here spam 10 post and then spam in the dvpmt part :/ So actually is it really usefull ?
So i'll PM the developer and wait till my ten msg to post in the dvpmt part (build 2 may come out at the same time =D )
Thanks

New, needs help with kg v909
So I have an lg G-slate v909 and its currently got android 3.1 but id like to update it to the newest android os. I'm new and don't know how to do this manually as, from what I've been reading, is what needs to be done. I also only have this tablet and my Samsung galaxy s2 phone to access the internet and no PC access currently. I am not subscribed through tmobile just use wifi on the tablet.
Also, I am taking online classes and need to beable to access the mymathlab flash site application and am unable to do so on my tablet through any browser. If anyone could help me with that too, I would be incredibly greatful.
Thanks so much.
Samantha
Hum you're right if the noob is enough stupid to post 10msg in the same thread But stupid is just what a noob is so you should be right
Don't know how to mark the thread as resolved ..
You should seek your phone and then find a ROM using the Android version you want no ?

I think there is a minimum post count that you need for it....

JDLMaster, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. While you may be an expert, we ask ALL users to avoid posting questions about using or installing ROMs and software in the Development Forums. To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums.

One of (if not the first) rule in XDA is search before posting
Have a read of the (discontinued) guide in the General section by evil penguin. It is a "sticky". There are many similar throughout XDA where you will find a lot of the answers to your questions. They have been answered many times over and over, so there will be a plethora of information to digest

The "rules" might very well say that but the intent of this site is to HELP users, correct? Most of us are trying to find a fix, solve a problem and landed on one of these pages from a spidered Google result. When trying to solve these problems we are hitting multiple sites and I guarantee you, you have not gone to each one and READ THE RULES! If you don't want to break Android policy and help her root, then why say anything at all?

Are you just trolling, yep, think so. Or have I misread your post? Most users and the recipient of my reply could obviously take the first sentence light hearted, with the "", the way it's meant to be....
I gave a suggestion and place to start to read the stickies. Stickies have lots of useful info. This, she can do herself without any help
Yes, PART of XDA ethos is about helping, but it's not about spoon feeding, is it?
BTW, I have read the rules nobody's perfect and will admit that even i have deviated from time to time edit: I'm also guilty spoon feeding too

It seems pretty clear to me that English is not the first language of a significant majority of people here.
It's also very clear that regardless of the first language of the members, understanding of the terms, concepts, applications and procedures vary widely among members. Subtexts are also lost or misunderstood.
Something to keep in mind when offering snarky opinions, offering help, etc
