I'm aware of how to disable the ongoing WiFi notification that tells you WiFi is off. But, I have an even more irritating problem. When I'm connected to a WiFi source, there is a huge, unswipable, notification that tells me that I'm connected to it. I have no idea why I would need to be constantly reminded that I'm connected to that WiFi source.
Is there a way to disable that? I'm rooted, but do not want to install a custom rom.
Swipe down notification bar, long press the connected to line, hit app info, then uncheck show notifications. Try that. You're welcome.

Argh. I wish I knew it was that easy. I resorted to flashing this .zip and, while it worked, I have no idea what else I did to my phone.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is just my phone or not, but I can't seem to disable the data connection outside of the widget from the notification bar.
I first noticed the problem when I was attempting to create a profile that would turn off the data connection and back on every 15 minutes, but it failed to do anything.
Afterwards, I tried out some apps such as Widgetsoid2.x and put Mobile Data and 2G/3G onto the widget. However, I noticed that turning off the data from the widget would show it being off on the widget but it'll remain on in the notification bar. If i turn it off through the notification bar, the widget on the homescreen would be off. However, clicking the homescreen widget to turn it on would bring up the Mobile Network Settings screen with a toast saying, "Enable Data First".
Anyone else got this problem or have a solution?
Its not just you, I have profiles setup using Llama to switch WiFi on and off depending on where I am and of course I have it turn data off when WiFi is on.
Now I'm not sure if its a glitch related to turning it off manually, but it doesn't seem to turn back on when out of range of WiFi despite having a rule setup to do that. Yet other rules work perfectly. I just assumed it was a bug with Llama and figured I could like with it.
i always get this notification to connect to mobile data when i reboot the tablet or when i use honeybar to show the status bar after it was hidden. it's annoying. how do i remove this notification?
you could turn off notifications in the system panel. You probably dont want to do that though. Do you get the notification when you are connected to a mobile network? Is the message about the date/time is not set automatically, etc.?
I could understand after a reboot, if it is just slow to load and connect at boot.
I dont see why you would get this after toggling honeybar.
hi chris,
turning off notifications doesn't help. everytime the tablet boots or the status bar re-appears (as a result of honeybar) i get this notification "mobile connection is currently disabled. you need to connect to mobile data to use data applications... blah blah blah". you don't get this message in your version of the tab plus? btw i flashed your ics theme it works fine but i have a small problem, check the theme thread
so it just the notification? or do you actually see your signal drop?? did you just get this device? someting leads me to believe it may be network/connection related. rather than actual software bug? how is your mobile settings configured in settings?

* i forgot where i read it
** and i forgot what it reloads too

I got my S8+ this morning and have blown most of the day loading stuff etc. I appreciate having WiFi (TMo)calling but is really necessary to be reminded it is active in the pull down screen? An icon on the notification bar is ok. The rest is a waste of space. Any way to turn it off? I've tried blocking notifications.
Very annoying, haven't found a way to turn that off. I just disabled wifi calling
Do the ATT phones have this also?
sprint doesn't thankfully
I think this is a bug. Normally when you keep wifi calling on as the primary it leaves a notification to remind you you're not on the voice network. But if you choose network preferred it should only pop up when network is not available and you're on wifi.
I set mine to network preferred and for some reason even though I have 4G it pops up with the wifi calling notification. The problem is im not even sure why its doing it. Does this mean the S8+ sux and doesnt have network where my S7E did. or is it just a bug......
Also very annoyed by this. I like WiFi calling as i have faster WiFi than cell service in my house, but i hate having to see the notification telling me it is enabled all the time (even if the feature isn't being used). I just turned it off.

Its not working with Tmobile wifi calling icon..

Have been wondering about this also. Using a T-Mobile S8+ and haven't found a way to turn off the always-on-notification for the wifi-calling. I just leave it disabled most of the time unless I know I'll need to make a call over wifi, then I turn it on for stability.
I think I figured it out
Go to the drop down settings menu and click on the settings button. Tap on "Notifications", and then tap "Advanced" up at the top right of the screen, then tap on the 3 dots at top right again and choose "Show system apps". Scroll all the way down until you see the "Wi-Fi Calling" icon and tap on it and then toggle off the "App icon badges" switch. Then you'll need to click on the "Make sound" option below that toggle, go down to the "Advanced" section and tap "On lock screen" and tap "Do not show notifications". Seems like a hell of a lot of work just turn off an annoying notification icon I'll never use...
I want to keep bluetooth on all the time, but I don't like the BT icon always sitting in my status bar even when nothing's connected. I know I can disable the icon altogether with system UI tuner, but I do want to see it when a BT device is connected. Is this possible?
Thanks!

Are you rooted and willing to lose Google Pay? If so, then try installing Xposed and check to see if gravity box will allow you to customize that feature. I'm not sure that it will but it has the best chance.
How about you turn off bluetooth when it's not in use? It will save on battery life in the long run, not to mention it's in the quick settings so it's really quick to turn off and on.

Hello,
I have noticed that the Wi-Fi Calling notification does not go away even if I turn Wi-Fi Calling off. I have already put the notification to silent and reduced but it constantly sits there and annoys me. Does anyone know a trick how to get rid of it completely? The options for disabling it are greyed out and cannot be turned off. My S21 Ultra which had the same e-SIM, came from the same region, did not have that issue although the function was turned on 24/7.
The package which causes those notifications is com.sec.unifiedwfc.
EDIT: At the moment I have blocked the notifications using AutoNotification app from the store.

I did check it but could not find anything useful. The one thing that could have helped, notification snooze time change, has failed to apply even though I granted all permissions via ADB. The app suggested to use OneUI Tuner but it is not available on xda labs when I open the official link.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about the notification on the status bar
can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing? not fully understanding the issue here

It is just the carrier pushing for Wifi call. Tmobile does that.
What I do? I turn of wifi right when a call comes. The HD+ is much better without wifi.

If you put it to silent it will look as in the screenshot. Turning off is greyed out.
