Oh, I know what happen...
The default "Backup" function change from ext-sdcard to int-sdcard,
so no space for it to create a backup file...
Therefore backup need choose the function of Backup to external sdcard.
Tested, backup & restore function are fine! Thanks!!! :good:
Thanks, about time we got some recovery love
Any bugs we should be aware of in this build?
seems to working perfect, thanks a lot
I cant backup to my sd card or flash zips from it. It says my external sd isnt mounted, and i get an error when i try to mount it in the recovery. Other than that everything works.
I get this Error, too, but a not completeBackup is on my external SD Card.
I have a folder clockworkmod/backup, in this Folder is another Folder with boot.img, cacheext4, dataext4, nandroid, recoverx, system but no Apps.

I can backup and restore without any problem's on my ExternalSd.
Please check if your sd card is formated as exFAT.
Official Clockworkmod doesn't support exFAT formated sdcard's.
what does silence mean here? does it mean it is so stable and all working good? does it flash themes and wiping properly?
as long as wiping, backup and restore works great on this I think it this is good news. Trying this out.

I'd say so! If there's something wrong with it, you'd hear about it by now.

As I said in the other thread, you're using exFAT which isn't supported.
Also, there is an official CWM 6.0.2.8 now, look here. (his tar has the wrong version number in its filename, it actually is 6.0.2.8)

Sorry, I don't want to come across as annoying but I really am not using exFAT, as I have explained on the other thread. FAT32 was used with a cluster size of 32kb.

my phone GT I9100. I formatted by my phone under ics on my 64gb cl10 card was fat32 about year ago. Recently I upgraded to jb due to boot loop peoblem, I wipe my phone including formatting msd card. This time it formatted to exfat and many problems I had encountered cwm and mobile odin no recognised it. So I should said for 64gb msd, under ics format by phone was fat32. Under jb it will be exfat.
Send via i9100 using XDA premium,
ROM: Stock XWLSD
Kernel: Phil XWLSD V4.35
superSU 1.04
Can you re-upload recovery Odin version (link is broken on the fist page) ?
Or how change cwr version to odin version ?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for port. The recovery won't mount sdcard though so cannot sideload anything. Why is that?

Hello fellow Transformers,
I've flashed Clockwork recovery and I have root access but when I try to flash a custom ROM I get "E: Can't mount /sdcard".
Tried reflashing the recovery img, tried manually mounting the /sdcard ... same error.
I used this thread to gain root access + flash recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125714 .
I don't have a microSD card so the /sdcard I'm talking about is the internal 16GB one.
Hope it's even mountable... or do I have to use a microSD card?
Would appreciate any help!
Thanks!
Edit: tried a microSD card - won't mount as well
That root method seems to be pretty unreliable, judging by all the comments in that thread. Try flashing this version of CWM and try your custom rom again:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093818
If that still doesn't work, I'd say you should unroot and then try one of the more reliable rooting methods.

I saw that thread but how can I flash this Clockwork img if I can't mound SD card? can I use fastboot boot recovery ?
Hah! Good point. You got me there...
Do you have another microSD card laying around? As far as I know CWM requires you have the files on a microSD, not the internal SD.
This is the method that I used and had no issues with:
http://asustransform.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19-how-to-root-your-asus-transformer/
You could try re-rooting your device. This method requires you to downgrade your firmware, though.
Thanks , i'll try the rooting method you did.
Try another microsd card first. I've seen people in other threads with this problem, and a different card did the trick.
Did you find a fix for this? I did a factory reset twice and re-rooted twice via the guide above. Also tried a differnt root method. Tried 3 different SD cards and reformatting them to fat32 (also tried fat and ntfs just in case ) none of them will mount in CWM recovery??
My tf will recognize the SD card when booted but not in clockwork. Im using the "standard " CWM as I can't flash the modded version. Anyone please!! I'm stuck on 3.0.1

Used the nvflash method, which flashes the modded CW, and bought a simple 4gb microSD card and it worked great.
Make sure your sd card is formatted to FAT32.
Thanks for the quick response. nvflash it is then. forgot that's used for more than just unbricking

Well, I was able to nvflash the modded cmw and prime 1.4 which was my primary goal but even this cwm won't mount the removeable or internal sd for me (still not sure which one mounts) reformatted 2 different cards to fat32 on my pc even tried formatting on the tf still nothing. Any other ideas ?

In that case, assuming you did everything, I suggest RMA... It should work so if it doesn't, maybe there's a fault with the sd card slot...
The best test is to take a microSD card that works for someone else on the Transformer and test it on yours, but it's hard finding someone with the same tablet next to you I guess...
That's what I don't get. It mounts fine when the tf is on, mount no problem on my other devices, they just wont mount for cwm on the tf. I'm gonna mess around a bit more to see if anything else works. I have some light screen bleed so it would give me a reason to return if I end up needing to go that route. Thanks again for the suggestions !
Edit: not sure why but CWM recognized the sdcard when I partitioned it, then I was able to mount it and do a backup. Still a little confused that it would recognize/mount the SD to partition but not to install or backup. But it works now

I have screen bleeds as well but very small one and I didn't even notice them until I saw that "Screen bleeds" thread so I'm not going to return it for now... if it'll get worse I will.
It Works!
Thanks to jcarrz1 reply to my post in Clockworkmod recovery 3.2.0.1 roach-tf101-r1 I found the solution to my SD Card not mounting. It was indeed solved by first Partitioning my external SD card. After that CWM mounts the SD card just fine and uses any files I have stored there.
i have the same problem
can u explain what are you exaclty doing to fix it ?
edit : FIXED !
Mount Error Fixed
After battling with the error of the Clockworkmod recovery not been able to mount the SD Card for days, I was finally able to get this to work by formatting the SD Card using the SDFormatter. It can be downloaded here
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
After installing the SDFormatter, formt the card accepting the default settings.
Good luck

This one click method called Razorclaw came out today and I rooted it no problem. The problem is that the stock recovery is still installed and I have no clue how to install Roach2010's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213723) port of CWM Recovery onto my TF. If anyone can post a detailed step by step on how to do that, I will greatly appreciate it. Please and thank you in advance!
In that Razorclw thread look for Gnufabio's Recoveryinstaller app.
It will install cwm recovery
RazorClaw and Gnufabio's Recoveryinstaller app worked perfectly on my new Transformer B80.
Thanks alot but that doesnt seem to be working. just looks like something is flashing then just reboots and i try rebooting into recocery and it just reboots.

It store the backup to the external micro sd card. If you have one and it can't mount, try to format it again on a PC
I have my sd card formated to exFat to support files over 4 GB, do I have to go back to Fat32?

Just unlocked using EZ. I'm running cwm 6.0.1.0 and the lk_aosp_jb_beta-v0.5 kernel. I am coming from stock rom I wiped data/cache/dalvik. I reboot come to the CMX cyanogenmod 10 boot animation screen and it just sits there with the screen flashing every few seconds.
I'm not sure what I've done wrong or what is going on. I'm using the 20120817-UNOFFICIAL cm10 rom. Id also like to note upon backing up roms I've been getting "Unable to find mounted volume /sdcard" "Error finding an appropriate backup handler" I try mounting the internal sdcard in cwm but it doesn't do anything, I can mount and unmount everything else. Please help me out?
Edit: I'm going to flash beans8 so I can check my external sdcard is formatted in FAT32
ReEdit: Still no luck. Any advice?
I think your best bet is to copy everything off of your sdCard and reformat it (Fat32 of course). Are you running the on-kexec CWM also?

I took all the info off my SD card last night formatted both through CWM and will give this another go with the new nightly build today. It was strange, with my external SD card mounted in the phone last night plugged into USB on my PC it listed both the internal and external as General hierarchy File systems. But when I pulled out the microSD and put it into my card slot adapter it showed it as a FAT32 card. I'm puzzled but either way I reformatted it to FAT32 and popped it back in the phone. Then I formatted the internal via CWM. Like I said I'll try it again in a few after I make some backups and titanium my stuff.
Just tried again. Still stuck on the boot animation screen. Everything is as it should be according to everything I've read.
EDIT: Finally got it. I flashed liquid and then flashed the new nightly over that after clearing data/cache/dalvik.
Does the backup through CWM recovery backups only the internal memory contents or does it back both the partitions of sd card?
I am asking because yesterday when I was taking back up, one of the process message was something like couldnt find ext-sd and ext-sd did not backup.

I have partitioned sd card such that I am able to use 1 gb as internal and link apps through link2sd app. I think I formatted sd card during this process. I hope this is what u were asking.

Here is TWRP 2.4 recovery. Just copy the zip to your storage and flash it via recovery It will solve your issues (99%)

How old is your external SD card? If you've been writing to it a lot, it might be going bad. SD cards have a limited life span. The more you write to it (and in bigger chunks), the more it "wears down" the SD card.
You might want to try and reformat it and do a chkdsk on it to see if it finds any bad areas on it.

Never thought of that! I myself have never used ROM Manager to backup my ROM image. Sorry about steering you in the wrong direction. I had assumed ROM Manager worked regardless.
