AWESOME! Is there system write?

Yay! :victory:
I've updated my standalone camera fix thread to indicate that this ROM should be the primary source for the fix going forward

No problem! It was fun to learn what I had to do, and it was worth it to have a working video camera again
Yeah I know getting AOSP browsers to work in Sense ROMs can be a pain. Not sure if it's even possible?

I don't think you'll be disappointed by this one!
I had a pretty strong case of flash-itis before, but this ROM has cured me.

Download link posted Sense browser readded (for now)
Enjoy!

Oh, bpear, quick question. I've been getting prompts for the last week or two about updates from HTC to the Camera app and the Contacts app.
Did you install these? If so, will those updates be included with the new ROM? If not, would you recommend installing them or avoiding them?

Yeah I noticed that to. Seems to be HTC trying to push a updated Camera and contacts app, not sure what they updated. I included lyapotas custom HTC camera app. Also the contact app with this rom is themed, which this would overwrite. I was curious and acepted it and it seemed to fail in updating, probably because the APKS are modified. Ill try to block/remove that update prompt for next update.

Yeah I knew it was a custom camera app, that's why I was reluctant to install it. Thanks for the heads-up! I've turned off the scheduled check for now.

Thank you for your work being stuck on the 4.1.1 version is hard as you can only get the Sense ROMS but you fixed our temp problem awaiting for the download :S
never mind download is there :$ testing this out !

I found one possible issue with my camera fix so far - videos recorded in the portrait orientation only seem to play inside the Gallery app. On my computer, they show up as mp4 files with no video.
Not really a big deal as far as I'm concerned (because you shouldn't be recording portrait videos anyway :silly, but still something I thought was worth noting.
Of course, this could also be an issue with the camera app itself, rather than my camera fix. Hard to say for sure. I tested it with several apps, though, and it still seems to be happening, so I'm leaning toward something in the ROM.
One more thing: even though it doesn't play right on my computer, I can still upload it to YouTube directly from the phone via the YouTube app:
http://youtu.be/d1cQRRgtY50
Strange.

Re: [ROM][1/27] RebelROM Senseless Jelly Bean
As I've been on Viper and Hatka for the past 3 weeks, I forgot, how do you remove the power saver notification?

It's nice to see this rom back Great work!

This ROM is built off of the T-Mobile OTA update that amazinglarry311 rooted and posted here. It has a Cyanogen kernel that is slightly overclocked to 576mhz. I've removed the T-Mobile crap, added a few useful things, and made a few framework mods to make it look better. This works with the original myTouch(32b) may work with the 32a and G1. Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for bricked phones. Make sure you wipe before flashing. I have also attached the blue dot wallpaper from Gingerbread if you want it.
Features (Original)
LauncherPro
Black Status Bar
Custom Status Bar Icons and Pulldown
CM6 MMS with Black Background
ROM Manager
News and Weather App and Widget
Live Wallpaper Support
Added Features on v1.1

Yet im making a nand as i download this file.
did you do anything different from your last post? like any OS tweaks?
i really enjoyed the stability and speed (im a nazi when it comes to performance)
of your last build (continuation of the 2.2.1)
also im on yoshi's 1.0, can i flash this over that since his work is a continuation or yours?
on the same rom as the guy above
This one you have to wipe. I tried flashing it over my last and it boot looped. The main difference in this one is the themed status bar. I'll be adding the gingerbread keyboard to the first update. Im gonna try out some other gingerbread apps tonight to see which ones will work and are an improvement.

I just wiped it all then flashed this ROM.
-snappier than the previous Jbrew... maybe ADW is laggy :/?
my apps didn't back up automatically but who cares cause i feel thats the problem that 2.2 has, its stalls everything up
-market downloads really quick on multiple downloads unlike before
-the GPS ping is right on the money
-i seem to be recieving all my texts all morning long
-3D gallery is laggy as usual but its not a big deal
-stock music app doesn't recognize half the artist, list them as unknowns (a trend I see with all Froyo roms)
-a couple apps close down when I try to open them, not habitual. More random if anything
EDIT!
NO Swap, it sucks . no compache, DONT put the app in home memory and DONT use the 3D app drawer. Launcher needs to better support these two. (Not JBrews fault)
my new froyo daily driver
great work JBrew!
It has been a while since I've flashed roms on this phone. I've tried RA and Clockwork and both end up in boot loops after flashing the rom... I tried a different rom too and got the same result, so it isn't the rom. Any quick ideas? I am rooted and wiped everything before flashing...
Umm start over?
Find RA's "how to unroot".
Re-root your phone.

use system app uninstaller
thats what i use
Or download titanium backup... locate launcher pro... click it and uninstall... I believe you can't install 8.2 over 8.1... if you can't, make sure you have atleast one home launcher eg. Gingerbread launcher (or you wont have a homescreen to work with lol) then go into titanium to uninstall system lp... now u r ready to install ur 8.2
32b myTouch 3g
Cyanogen Nightly 279

ADW 1.3.3
Downloaded and installed your rom. Everything seems to be good so far.

I'm open to suggestions. What would you like to see changed or added to the ROM?
Hmm...
well, there's a lot of competition, so thats kinda tough. im a fan of the green and black theme. with that said, id trade fancy for complete stability. Im personally looking for a daily driver.
Pull down power controls like in cm6.1 maybe cm settings to fix the rotation to the right thing....everything else is awesome nice work man

What all are you wanting to be green? Is there anything specifically that you are having stability issues with?

Nothing major. at this point any cutom pgns can be accomplished by the individual... assuming they can root, they can edit the framework-res.apk.
as far as the stability goes, like i said before , im a performance nazi, so the occassional app reload [start an app then it shuts its self down, but then restarts its self] is kinda annoying. home sceen lags ect.
people always rant about how this is the fastest rom "ever" but when i seem to try it its never the case.
i like to run my beast as stock as possible. no swap. no compache, no ext. so a rom thats come right out of the zip "blazing fast and stable" are hard to come by.
I will say that your Rom along with a select few are worthy of calling fast and stable. so i would like to see more customization,[diff colors schemes, cms options are nice] but if its at a cost for these old phone, well then pock that! lol example, 3d gallery, too laggy for my taste but some like it. im personally not a dev so i just want a phone that works as a phone firts and one i can show my I-friends why they they chose the wrong device. well i feel you get the point. hope that helped.

Its not a honeycomb music app, its on the market, and its google beta music. Also without flashing I also know there is an issue when using the Sense camera and the aosp 3D gallery. When you take a picture then try to preview it, FC. Have you already fixed that?
Also when using the AOSP messaging app when you try and apply a picture then select camera snap the shot, then try to attach to the aosp MMs it FCs, have you fixed that?
I am only asking because I don't see this issues listed as known issues, and I also don't see anywhere thats says these issues are fixed.

Thank you for pointing out the Music app mistake. I corrected it.
The preview doesnt force close because I didn't remove the Sense gallery so there won't be an issue there.
As far as what said about the AOSP messaging app, it doesnt force close it just doesnt add the picture.
I didn't write a "know issues" because I didn't run into any when I tested it but everyone uses their phone differently. When people start reporting issues or if I come across something then I'll add to the OP. Thanks
Looks really nice i've been wanting a rom like this. Senseless
If you want a rom thats senseless just d/l a asop or cm rom. Or if you want to be able to use some of the features and comforts of sense then just d/l and use either ADW-EX launcher or LPP launcher.

Cool. Story. Bro.
There is a reason to use a sense rom without the sense add-ons, Gallery is better, camera is better, With the new sense kernels battery is better. Then remove all the remove all the extras sense stuff? It works better. Next time your using a AOSP rom tryout the 720p video recording and tell me how that works out?
Hi TJ,

Ummmm why do we need to install the lithium zip then the updater zip? what happens if we dont run the updater zip?
Just want clarification, I have done a CWM backup and im just waiting to hear your answer before flashing your rom
You wont get the inverted settings. This was a pain in the $$$ and the only way to do it was this way. No matter what I tried the app would not install at boot unless done this way.

theres no settings apk installed. i did all wipes a flashed.
Well it seems super responsive, nice boot animation. Everything seems to work.
Bugs I found:
Battery meter is not accurate, I was using it and it went down to 95%, then I went to the kitchen to get a drink and came back to have the battery at 100%. So either the battery mod isnt accurate or I have a self energy regenerating battery
Perfect Applock seems to be in a constant service bootloop. It does this with yours, stock deodexed and Supercharged rom. Pity, oh well, I use this app to protect ppl from using apps I don't want them to use. Guess Ill go back to VictoryRom.
I've just recently begun to flash around with my Atrix 2 and I have to say this ROM looks and sounds really SWEET
But you know why I'm not going to install it?
Because of this:
May not look like a big deal but I just need that effin Enter-button to be there instead
I'd absolutely try it out if you could MAYBE add the Blur messaging app(s) *braces for impact*

I checked this every way before releasing and never had it fail to load on me.

Give the phone time to settle. I have yet to see any issues with the battery. As far as your app. Remove the CWM on boot and I can just about guarantee it will work for you

I didn't desings the keyboard so you're stuck with it or find a replacement
as for the Blur apps I suppose I could make another updater zip to include them.
But this will be LATER!!! Been working 5 nights straight and I'M GOING TO BED!!!!!!! SEE YA'LL LATER

Trust me, I know
This is why I asked whether it was possible to include the blur messaging app, because I know for some reason the keyboard is different there than in the aosp messaging app

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

This ROM has all the bugs andromadus has (latest build ofc lol)
I have to try it! But cannot loose all data on my phone right now...
Ok! I'll do it on my smaller sister phone!
Hmm, it's not easy to try out this rom..
- There's no google play app on the phone
- There's no filebrowser
- Developer settings are greyed out so I can't push google play app to the phone with adb.
Maybe I'm overlooking something? but I can't work with your rom in this way
Apart from these negative points, this rom is very fast and smooth. Also very much settings, OC settings, launcher settings etc. Good job!
Edit: found the switch for development settings. Pushing playstore app to device right now

Did you flash GAPPS?
Hmm I guess that should be the problem Damn i'm making this difficult for myself lol
Downloading GAPPS now
Edit: ok, android 4.1.1 now fully running on my desire S
Things I have found so far:
- Overall smoothness and performance is great! Comparable (maybe even better) to a freshly installed fallout 5.0!
- Tablet mode working!
- App resize working!
- Tablet mode: notification bar is half off the screen! Check screens below
- system settings disk space tab is force closing every time!
For the rest, it's too late too try. I'll post some screenshots here so anyone can look for himself.

The ROM is based on Andromadus (Flinny's latest 105 build) or CM10 (nk111's latest test 17 build)? I'm asking because on Andromadus there is still the "sound blackout" issue present while on CM10 it is not. Paranoid has great features, I love it (tested it before) but if I have sound issues with it, I cannot use it.

Well its on top of andromaus' sources, so i think its still equal to build 105.
Ill try the cm10 kernel later today, that one doesn't suffer from a sound blackout right?

Only for you buddy:
I would remove that screenshot app If I were you...
That contains fishy malware ( I once had it in a rom included so users found it ).
Don't know the exact name anymore but i wouldn't take the risk if I were you.
had the sound blackout after two minutes of the first boot. Restarted the phone and after 5 minutes the same thing. the rom si fast and pretty much OK, but the sound problem is a major one . thank you

Don't know if it's kernel related or not but yes on nk111's build from 17.09 (latest) the sound issue is gone (I use it as daily since then and have no problems)

Galaxy Exhibit CM9 PURENEXUS (10-07-2012)

Hello, I made a custom rom based on Jocala's CM9.
To be clear, most of the work belongs to Jocala and other awesome people that are beautiful.
WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.
I want this to be a community-based rom where your (viable) suggestions are heard and make our clunky low-end phone less painful to use.

I took this from Jocala's CM9 thread.
This rom should be mostly stable but help me test for any problems. Also, it should be fine to flash without ROM wiping CM9.
Time to give credit where credit is due.

YESS, finished uploading! The problem had to do with a newer version of the Adreno libraries. I fell asleep in my desk then my computer fell asleep too. So that stalled my uploading and I had to re-upload at around 50kbps because of my crappy internet.
Rant finished, try this out please!

Edit: First thing that's a problem is SuperSU, please remove it because it is a major conflict with Super User. Phone is crashing big time because of it.

I think I'm going to use a script to remove Superuser because from a freshly-wiped ROM, SuperSU works fine (tested with Titanium).

BTW Google Now FCing, even after data wipe. I uninstalled with TB, then rebooted. The Google Search bar works again and GNow is gone. I may reflash M7 at a later time to see how it does. Now that the dust has settled, the ROM is operating smoothly. Initial boot was a nightmare however. Probably going back to RR but hey, it's great we are getting more ROMs from folks like yourself.
Thanks for the addition, with some tweaking it'll be just fine!
Thanks Dude! this seems awesome! since your looking for tweaks and such here are my suggestions

I applied it to Jocalas last build out of preference, but I would love to see it implemented in your rom!!!
Thanks again!
EDIT: Also if you plan on just tweaking the 9/28 build (the latest one) continuously, I could just upload my modded apks )

lol, both of your problems come from the update-script file. The Google Now thing comes from me neglecting to add permissions (I'm a noob). IT TAKES FOREVER TO UPLOAD, I WANT TO REPEATEDLY STAB MY EYES OUT.

About the transparent thing, I'll look into it but I don't even know how to decompile apk files. I'm sure I can learn but if you could guide me or modify it yourself, that would be great. I plan on making an AROMA installer once I do learn how to.
