I recently updated to 2.3.5 and of course its not the best launcher or even close .now i'm using zeam launcher and its snappy and clean, what are you guys using

I use Launcher Pro, works nicely for what I need it for.
Only issue is I get FC's every time I reboot my phone. Anyone else see this issue?
I use launcher pro plus, it works the best for me, and it is very customizable.
No force close for me.
Go Launcher here.. it doesn't have the biggest category of themes but is simple and stable which works for me

Its always redrawing and I hate that. And it hasn't been updated in a long time

I use ADW EX. I used to use Zeam because it uses the least resources but I like some of the added features in ADW EX.

Mine does the same thing on a reboot (has done it with three different ROMs) but other than that it works perfectly. INsTANT response & absolutely no redraw issues whatever.
I won't use anything else.
~John
I use Golauncher with their Transparency themed widgets.
Go Launcher EX
I liked Zeam, but then I tried QQ Launcher and I've stayed with it.
Another vote for Go Launcher EX, been great on EP3HA.
No redraws at all.
Go launcher. I've used LPP, ADW and Go, and I like Go the best. All three are good in different ways.

TW4 launcher from an old Eclipse rom. I love the way it looks.
launcher pro.
I use go launcher but notice the default home launcher way faster. Is this normal. I enjoy the options other launchers give but does it slow phone down? Can you uninstall the default launcher
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Go launcher is slow plain and simple because of all the addons. Ads ex or launcher pro are much faster.
Thanks. What can I do to change lock screen instead go launcher. New ones faster but hard to choose

For the lock screen try widget locker. I use it and adw ex for the launcher. You could also try mi locker.
I've found that ADW EX and Zeam Launcher are both good, and both are faster than the TouchWiz stock launcher.
I'm using Zeam right now - not as many customization options as ADW, but I like it a lot.
Gingerbread launcher free, bye Eugene373 (currently a dev for 989). Super simple, not for those looking for super customizable.
I love it.

Im using Zeam right now. I switch mostly between zeam and qq launcher.
Adw ex is also good.
Ive seriously tried every launcher. These are my favs.
Market search 360launcher thats gonna be really good to in a couple updates

I like go launcher ex and adw. Adw is faster but it crashes too often. Launcher pro is nice too but I prefer it on aosp or cyanogen roms. We don't have that on the skyrocket yet.

I have my phone underclocked to 972 MHz, and my go launcher ex is running beautifully, no lag? So I don't understand y u would want to switch. However LauncherPro is my favorite, and I only switched because of a lack of updates
I use LauncherPro and love the customization and widgets. I also have used milocker and magiclocker for custom lockscreens.
ICS Launcher, seems to have finally stable and not FC on me for the last 10 days

I use Google Launcher and have no problems with it. For the lockscreen I use widget locker.

Since I switched to Go Launcher from TW, it has put android system very high in the battery stats(before it was only at 6% and now over 35%). It seems to be using up more resources. It also drains the battery faster while using the phone but doesn't change the battery drain while not in use.

Yup. I like the idea behind it, but I didn't like using it.
i use dxhome, there is a thread about it in themes and apps section
i tried adw but the app drawer scrolling was too slow
launcher pro and go launcher worked for a while but when i found dxhome and qqlauncher it made launcher pro and twlauncher seem laggy as sh*t. i also wasted my money on spb shell 3d i never could bring myself to use it for more than a day.
i got widgetlocker and regret nothing it is amazing. on faux 010 its so smooth it looks like the real thing.

3D transitions and all the other shininess will do that to your battery life.

I've been using many different once, everytime flashing the custom ROM's, but after an hour I go back to the best one I've ever used the 360 Launcher V2, it's free and fast.
I use it with Android 4 theme, works great looks great, has good widgets.
How ever yesterday I came across a good new launcher, Claystone launcher, if you post on FB it let's you download a Transparent theme which is pretty nice, and if you get use to working the new launcher it's actually not bad.
Zeam and launcherpro have always been the fastest and cleanest for me. I prefer launcherpro because I can make the homescreen grids 10x10 so I have more adjustability with my widgets.
Hello,
Im using trebuchet right now, because I don't want to change my unstable cyanogen 9.
I replaced my stock adw from cm7 for go launcher ex, because it is less laggy and you can hide apps.
So my questions is what are you using and why are you using it?

ADW. I love all the themes for it.

Apex launcher of course! Its smooth and easy to use.
Stock LG Optimus launcher using stock Froyo.
Apex Launcher with a Blu Kuban twist. The only launcher and ROM worth running IMHO.
Nova Launcher. Very nice. I will probably get the paid version as soon as I have money to spare. End of the month here so I'm prioritizing food instead..
I like the app drawer and the fact that you can turn off all the animations etc. If it's something I hate it's 3d effects in the home screen and app drawer. Urgh.
It's the only one I've felt is actually better than HTC Sense 4.0 that is already on the device (One V). I would probably be more keen to switch the launcher if I had a Samsung phone.
With ICS I love using Apex. One of the most fluid launchers I've ever used, and it's pretty customizable.

Even with ICS my favourite launcher is still GO Launcher. In fact, I think the GO Dev team bring a large number of quality apps to Android, which is something a lot of Android apps unfortunately lack.
I keep switching between Apex & MiHome.

this
fantastic and smooth

hiding apps, resizing widgets anything you would need
very stable however it can use quite a lot of memory (I have many widgets on multiple screens so thiis might be the reason)

I just got my tab back from Acer after a brick, and am trying out new launchers. I am finding that Go Launcher Ex has the has features I like, and ADW has most of the themes and icons I like. Started using to Launcher HD this weekend, and it's growing on me.
What is everyone else using, and what do you like the most?
Sent from my A700 using XDA Premium HD app
Try Apex or Nova- both are based on stock ICS or Trebuchet (stock CM) launcher, some features are not available in free versions though.
IMO Apex wins over Nova- less ram used (system reports ~30MB, 6-7 widgets loaded) and buttery smoothness.
I am a big nova fan. Use it on my phone and tab.
I'm using Apex on both my A700 and HTC Desire.
It's working great and absolutely smooth. E

Tapa tapa tapa from HTC Desire
ok so i just switched back to android a few weeks ago i got tired of my iphone but anyways
before i would always use launcher pro plus i loved how you could resize widgets an stuff
i also used to use a few other apps to resize icons an stuff but it was so long ago i cant remember
just trying to see what launcher people are going with (besides htc sense)
ive got launcher pro plus installed now but i think its kinda out dated
when i need another launcher i use nova launcher
I'm usually on sense but like cheezy I like nova as an alternative and a nice stock feeling
alright nova seems like what everyone is going with ill give that a try thanks for the reply's
Nova is pretty slick and has active development. You can even get beta downloads through the app once you install a beta version from xda.
Adw ex.
I loved the trebuchet launcher that was available on bpear's older CNA builds I believe, and it was all I used until development was put on hold for a bit. Then when I switched to Nocturnal Dirty I stuck to using Holo Launcher HD.
I use Apex Pro, smooth and customisable.

I was a big sense fan and then I tried Apex a while back and enjoyed the smoother usage. I have been using Nova for a bit now, it's almost identical to Apex, I like the method Nova uses to sort widgets better than Apex. It groups things by program, and unless Apex changed something, it would just give you a list of every widget available

Still gives you a list in alphabetical order.
Actually using the TouchWiz launcher bundled with JellyBam. It's not nearly as customizable as Nova/Apex/Trebuchet, but it looks good and is very fluid. Quite enjoy the app drawer transition and pinch zoom.
I use Apex Launcher. I find it to be smoother and more responsive than Nova, at least on CM10. Great launcher. Highly recommended.
