Unable to mount SD card in CM9 - HTC Pico (Explorer)

Hi ,
Im usigng CM9 in my explorer. Today i tried to partion SD card via mounting it from recovery and partitioned using minitool artitions oftware after that im unable to see SD in my explorer. although it was partitioned also when i try to insert memory card it says SD card is safe is remove everytime i insert SD card , before partioning it was wokring fine...

Well get to card reader and repartiotion it again, probably you didn't make both partitions primary or something else, maybe it's some fail because you made it from recover...... There are a lot of maybe's, sure thing is to partition it with card reader.

i have a 4gb mini sd card and it must be reinserted about every 15min or else it will no longer be recognized by the phone..anyone have this problem?? solutions??
they make 3GB cards? never heard of them before!
Does the same thing happen if its in a computer or another phone?
oops! sorry i meant 4gb card..
and i havent used the card for anything but my treo
any suggestions?
Try to format the card as FAT instead of FAT32 using your computer. FAT32 format is good when you install a new ROM. I find that FAT work good with the Treo
i dont have a minisd card reader on my computer..is there any way to format the card through the device??
so i dl flash format and when i select the drop down box only FAT32 is available option...

i must be handicapped!
for some reason i can not partition my SD card correctly. i am using clockwork mod recovery 5.0.2.0. i go in partition the SD card for 512mb 0 swap. format the /sd-ext. everything is all good from this point.
my problem is the rest of the SD card is not formatted.
so like a retard i stick the SD card into my windows 7 laptop and format it so i can put the rom on to flash. when i do this i loose the 512mb ext partition it made on the SD card.
what am i doing wrong?
is there a better way to format the remaining space of the SD card without loosing the 512mb ext partition? so i can put the rom on the SD to flash the rom.
Format SD card to fat32 then partition your card in cwm. That's all you have to do

afterwards
the how to do i get the rom to the SD card? because if i stick the sd card back into windows laptop it wants to format the card again and wrecks the SD partition.
is there another way to push a rom from laptop to the phone by USB?
After you format the SD Card in Recovery, choose mounts and storage. Then choose USB Mount. After that load the backup of the SD Card back onto the card. If you don't have the Rom in your backup, load it then.
oh okay sorry i didn't understand you clearly but i'd do what prboy said
easy
much easier. i have been doing it the hard way all this time.
thanks both of you for the help.
So then you got it sorted out?
I don't think Windows can recognize/format an ext partition as it's a Linux file system. I had to set up my ext partition yesterday and Windows 7 only read the left over space when I mounted it through the phone and a card reader(14gb card read as 13gb). Should be good to format it when you plug it in.
Sent from the bushes outside your house....you gonna put some pants on anytime soon?

Micro SD Card repartioning

So i was looking through 4Ext touch's recovery menu and i saw an option in tools to check for sd card partition alignment so i did and according to that the sd card partitions were not properly aligned (whatever that means) so i backed up the data on my sd card and went to repartition it and now it's asking me to choose a partition size for the 1st and 2nd partition plus the swap. I have no idea what to put, i have a 32gb class 10 sd card. Can someone please explain to me what does this whole sd card partition alignment means and what should i choose?
We dont need to partition SD card for inspire. It is for devices will less ROM space, where you partition SD card and use it as phone storage. So just delete all partitions, and just have one.

Damaged SD Card

Hi guys,
My phones micro-sd card has been acting strange and was not being recognized at times by my phone. I then proceeded to put it in its SD card adapter and put it in my Mac and got an error saying the card was unreadable. I then put it in a reader on my PC and everytime I try to access the drive it gives me the 2 errors, "You need to format the drive...etc" and after clicking cancel it says that my drive is an unrecognized file format.
Recuva says it can't read the boot sector and running chkdsk gives me the message that the file format is RAW.
Just tried running ReclaiMe file recovery and it says the card is only 30.6MB while it is actually a 32GB card.
Do you guys think there is any hope? Or should I just move on?
Any help would appreciated. Got a lot of pictures and music I would love to save on the drive, plus ROM backups.
Thanks so much

I've killed an SD card before.. not sure how.. it had been partitioned EXT3 for a rom on a desire.. then re-formatted to normal..
but the problem came months after without notice one day the camera was failing and the gallery wouldn't open..
I tried a new SD card and things were fine so I figured the SD card died
Try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard on your pc, and delete ext partition and swap stay only on fat32. if that does not work format your card to exfat. If that doesn`t work try use program "winhex"(before i used it, my computer hadnt read my card). I repaired my card 3 times these methods.
You can use this ONLY on memory card reader.

HELP! EXT2 partitioned microSD card cannot be read by laptop

Hi there. I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi 1S with 16GB SD card. Previously I had partitioned my SD card with 2nd partition set to FAT type, which I used to link apps to SD card using Link2SD. My SD card could be read fine by my laptop when I plugged it in to my laptop with a USB connector (i.e. I could open both my internal storage as well as external SD card storage). Recently I had to reformat the SD card due to some issues with my phone, and I hence deleted the old partition and created a new 2nd partition in EXT2 format instead. The 2nd partition is readable on my phone and works with Link2SD to link apps to SD card like before, however when I plug into my laptop, I cannot see the SD card storage. I can only see the internal memory storage. Please advise how to fix this, if possible without reformatting, as I am unable to move files to and from the SD card storage if I can't see it. Thank you!
