The A511 and the A701 does have a SIM slot which makes it possible to have an internet connection via 3G. You can't, however, make a call with it how you usually would with your phone. You can use applications like Skype, Viber, LINE or any other voip app.
Just a quick search on Google made me find a post about rooting the A210 Jelly Bean only. So it certainly is possible to run Android JB on the A210, but I can't tell you if it's an official update.
It is official acer update on a210.
If you have root on your devices you can connect USB modem and used it as broadband from 3G.
Probably if modem has voice option then you should make call via 3G.
But definitely you mast have root access.
How can I root my A211? I didn't find any sources about a211 rooting.. Im now using JB

Wow... a 211 issue in the 700/510 forums.
Can you fastboot OEM unlock? If so, then you can fastboot an unsecure kernel, ADB push SU and the binaries. Root AND system RW.

The method I linked works.
Is it seriously too much work to revert to an older version, gain root, save root, then update and regain root?
If it is, maybe you shouldn't be bothering?
Just Root using Universal Xoom Root, then flash the latest Super User from here http://androidsu.com/superuser/ using CWR I used the Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip from then I gained root on 4.1.1

You won't be able to use the updates from TF700T since that device is pretty different from TF700KL (Tegra3 vs Krait S4, wifi vs LTE etc).
I also have the TF700KL and I don't think we will see too much development going on, since there are very few people that have one.
My hopes are that ASUS will release the JB update (as kind of promised) and a bootloader unlocking tool (the TF700T unlocking app does not work). Then it's just a matter of building CWM for it. I haven't been able the get a hold of the stock recovery image for the TF700KL, since I don't have root.
We'll see what happens. At this point it's in ASUS hands...

Very quiet from the Asus front. Have sent them a query about JB and root and after three days they closed it without replying.
Jelly Bean is here but I am having trouble updating it as it does not find the file even though it is on the external sdcard

Thanks but I sold the Tab as it was not working.
Hey folks..
i bought a TF300T a couple of weeks ago which i updated to Jelly bean so i was not able to root it ..
Now i got it switched to a new tablet because it was " DOA ".. so that was pretty lucky..
Now i have the TF300T with ICS and the Jelly bean update waiting for me..
Anyhow, this time i want to root this thing and install custom roms on it..
Problem is i cant find a guide nor anything on how to root it and update it to jelly bean and still keep root / CWM..
the only guide i found was one done with the US update..
Can anyone give me a guideline to where i should start?
EDIT: Do i have to unlock my bootloader to root?

Ok, When you say that you can't find anything on how to root, or guidelines and etc...
It's false, cause I think that you haven't really search on this specific forum.
On first, click on my sig (the Index for the TF300T/TG) and you will find all you need.
and finally you need to search and read a little. It's easy to post a question, you wait that a kindly person could give you some answer.
if you want to root without JB, don't open your wifi, for stop update by OTA
After unlock your tf300
and use NVFLASH on final
i want to ask a qusetion before i do this im following this post and i have everything besides one thing i dont know about
this is the post im on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952124
it says it needsd to have a Jelly Bean Firmware/Bootloader
idk if i have that not unless its asking about the rom i have. I am on ICS 4.0.4 i never updated my tablet and i have it rooted. i also have CWM 6.0.15 touch version.
do i need to update the FW. to get this rom installed and if so will it lock my bootloader and take away my root.
if it dose take my root am i able to use the same root method i used on my ICS on this updated rom
please help and thank you for the help
