Hey everyone,
Although I only have a couple of posts, I've been lurking in the shadows on XDA for awhile now soaking up knowlege about ROMS, tweaking, etc for my S3 and my new TF700T. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot to contribute on those fronts, but wanted to share a new product for our tablets - BestSkinsEver full body skins for the tablet and the dock (the product itself isn't new, but it's availability for the Infinity is).
They didn't have them listed specifically, so I contacted them and ended up sending in my personal Infinity and dock to have it designed. They skinned mine for free and sent it back.
Let me just say - I've tried pretty much every skin (screen and or body) for my Galaxy S3 and, in my opinion, they have the best fit - their cut is absolutely perfect and precise in every way. Their cut is perfect around holes and ports, etc, and they don't leave large cut outs when there are ports near each other, but actually wrap their films around the holes. The film is almost prefectly smooth, with only the slightest orange peel that is only perceivable when viewing from an angle. The film for the Infinity is no exception - perfect fit. To top it all off they're the least expensive (other than ebay junk). If you like to go naked like I do, but also like to not have to worry about scratches, a skin is the way to go. Apparently, they also have a matte finish option for the body which they did on mine that compliments the brushed aluminum well.
I have no affiliation with the company, I just wanted to throw this little review out there - I like to support good companies with good products and show another good option for the Infinity.

It appears they just posted it up on their website. If you look at the images for the TF201, they show more clearly what is included and how they cover. I couldn't really get any useful pics since the skins are virtually undetectable on camera. Although here's a pic showing the cutouts around the rear camera. Hope that helps.
How are the corners? I haven't used these wet protectors for a couple years now but always started peeling at the corners and eventually just removed it because it looked bad.

Corners are good so far. I've never really had a problem with their skins lifting on my S3, which I've had for quite a while now. I'm careful with my gadgets though.
Thanx for the info!
Descent pricing.
Hindsight I am wishing there was a skin on my tab before today.
I scratched the corner earlier...first ding ever since July.
Darn folio didn't cover the spot that was damaged.
Ah well c'est la vie...

Prices aren't too bad:
http://www.bestskinsever.com/tablets/asus/asus-transformer-pad-infinity-tf700-skin
But their product naming is confusing as hell.
I just ordered this ultra slim cover for my tf700 its slim and light, and not bulky it also has a stand for movie watching and for typing as well, i like how it covers the back and has all holes for the ports and speaker its a non branded cover that was shipped from hong kong took 2 weeks to get here, below i will post a link to the website I ordered and some pictures of the cover. price $15
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-Transf...es_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item35c43bb49b
looked really closely at that one, but went with the TPU Hard Gel instead. Post a review once you have used it a while and let us know what yoiu think of it.
Looks really good, thinking of a purchase. How's it lasted so far?
cover - check
slim - check
ultra - so so
smart - not even close
Ive had it for a couple days now and i like it, I like how now i don't have to worry about placing my tablet down on its back to avid scratches on the aluminum back, another thing i like is that it has a stand to watch netflix or anything else while im at the table, that was the only reason I used the keyboard dock now i wont have to attach and detach the keyboard dock all the time, another thing i like is that its slim and dose not make the tablet look bulky like some leather ones i see on ebay, I was also looking at the hard tpu case but chose this cover because of the stand.
Couple of questions:
How stable is it when it's set up in the movie-watching position?
How much protection/padding is does it offer (if any)? It looks very much like a clone of the Apple smart cover, so I'm guessing not a whole lot.
The anal retentive in me dislikes that fact that the Asus logo is upside down when it's in the typing position, but whatever!
I guess it's a toss up for me between this one (cheap, cheerful, slim, long shipping time) and this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OHFT5W/ref=gno_cart_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1GC47N5J8F7IJ
(more expensive, not so slim (but better protection), two-day shipping).

its really stable i can type in the movie watching position without tipping over, that i did notice that when i type laying down the asus logo is up side down, but that's not a problem for me, i also looked at the case you have on the link, it looks nice its not that bulky and also works as a stand, only thing i didn't like was the mat sticks out in front of you when watching a movie, and that it dose not cover all around the edge just the corners, other then that seems like a good cover, and padding looks a lil thicker on both sides front and back. over all im happy with the slim cover it dose what i need, the long wait for it to arrive is what i hated,
Thanks for the feedback. I've gone ahead and ordered the Acase one, as I'll need something pronto and the tablet is due to arrive today. I may pick up one like yours later on...we'll see.
It looks pretty!
I'd be afraid to break wind near that with it standing, might blow over.
For anyone looking for a high quality stable folio case, I highly recommend the Targus Truss case! I bought mine at my local Best Buy for my Asus Prime for $40. It fits the Infinity perfect, as both tablets are nearly identical. The only thing is the volume rockers are trickier to get to, but it's not an issue at all, just throwing only way you can tell it isn't made specifically for the Infinity

I got an email from dbrand and they are planning on making a skin for our 2nd Gen Moto X! I have had a dbrand skin on my last three phones: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Moto X (2013). If you haven't had the opportunity to deal with dbrand before, I can tell you from experience, they are a great company to work with, and they make a really quality product. I have attached a couple pictures of the skin on my now retired Moto X (2013). They said to expect them sometime in November. Hopefully they will join in this thread to keep us updated. They were very active in the Nexus 5 forum. I cant wait to slap on a skin!
yeah, i emailed them last week and asked if they were doing a Moto X 2014 skin. they got back to me within the hour and told me once that the Moto X 2014 skins should be out very shortly. the production got pushed back a bit because of the Nexus 6
Just got an update email from dbrand, here is the juicy part:

In terms of an ETA, we’ll likely have the 2014 Moto X skins available on our site by the 24th at the latest. If all goes well, we should have them available for pre-order by this Friday.

I've been playing with the Nexus 6 on the site, and I dont know if I'm going to go with black leather, brushed titanium, or blue. Might have to get all three.
Looks like they're available now.:good:
Edit: Linky
I bought a leather back and am kinda regretting it now. I might swap it so I can put one of these on!!
So this is tempting - I'm getting white bamboo, however the crappy part is you can't add dark metallic with white front, only black front. This could cure that problem. Go with the bamboo back, black front, red trim and then get a white matte front from db skins to out on. Anyone's thoughts?! I don't want to put something on a brand new phone and it seem cheesy...
I'm really keen on picking up one of these..the color ones most probably since we don't have a chance to use motomaker in my country (India).
Can anyone here who's used the dbrand skin before tell me if its really as textured as it looks on the website? I'm hoping so since that'll help with the 'grippiness' factor and not just look like a piece of colored paper stuck on.

That's how it looked on my oneplus one
I bought 3 skins for my N4. Black leather, titanium and mahogany. They all added grip, though the N4 has a glass back. The titanium was so textured I did not like it and gave it to my sister in law. Used mahogany the most, which I think is about as grippy as the matte black (only Canadian option) Moto X. Probably a little more grip clean but holds grease with use. I had no issues except after a while the inside of the nexus lettering came off, but that was over a year.
I will be getting a back sticker, still not sure which. I would love to see real life pics of the front and the accent ones as they look a little silly on the site.

Man I was hoping to see some pics of the moto x 2014 with these skins, not even on a google search do many 2014's come up. Guess I will order one today. Just need to decide. Anyone care to comment on how well it sticks? I never used a skin and fear the corners will lift. Also if removed will it leave adhesive behind?
The moto x looks like it was made to run a skin nicely with its clean separation of back panel to metal sides so actually looking forward to trying a dbrand skin

I still haven't gotten mine. I preordered a few days before release and they shipped about 2 weeks ago. They ship from Canada by traditional postage and don't have tracking. The site says to allow 7-14 business days for delivery so hopefully soon.
I got the mahogany and the black carbon fiber.

I had one on my 13 X. It never peeled on me and when I decided to take it off, it left behind no evidence that it was ever there
I had dbrand skins for all my phones. Now for the corners to stick just use a hair dryer and keep applying pressure.
Dbrand is the bees knees....probably going to get a bamboo front skin to finish off the look
All that is good to hear. I originally planned on getting a black carbon skin but changed my mind to white last minute, the contrast between the metal frame and white looks like it will be sweet! Hope it comes soon
The bright colored ones seem to have a very high grip texture by the looks of it but those colors are just too bright for me. I was also tempted to get the black titanium one since I liked the texture on the body glove satin case.
I will post pics when it gets here.
Rreally? I'm the first one with pics?
ok, thoughts: cut is near perfect. I mean like only maybe a half mm off in certain places, but pretty much exactly the same size as the back. The camera and logo cutout are almost perfect. The skin does not cover the mic at the top and it also has a tiny hole for the mic at the bottom. Easy application. WELL worth the money IMO.
Just got mine today, and I am as impressed as I thought I would be. Fit is almost perfect, just a fraction out in places like my Nexus 4 was. The coloured back is not as grippy as I expected, the softouch is better for grip for sure. I feel like the mahogany (based on the Nexus 4) is a little better but I should let the blue wear a bit. On that note, the edge by the Moto dimple is apparent to my finger, but I think that will wear smooth eventually. I can confirm it is residue free when you remove from the softouch back since I applied it a few times trying to get it perfect.
I am not understanding this. You choose from leather, wood, or twenty some-odd other colors, and you'd rather cover it with a sheet of vinyl?
I can understand a case to protect against drops, but what purpose does this serve?
Hi
My unicorn beetle case just arrive and I want to share my toughts with you.
First I order it from Amazon as I live in Chile the final cost was around 50 bucks.
I drop my first moto x 2014 (the one in the pics) and it screen shattered so a case for my new moto X was a must.
The case came in a really simple cardboard box, inside you find the 3 parts of the case:
- Front panel
- Back panel
- Belt clip holster
The plastic bag that contain them have a QR code with a link to a video of how asamble it but is really very easy.
The front panel have a integrated screen protector and only leave the mic, front camera and speaker unprotected (this is why this case is not waterproof).
The backpanel leaves the Motorola, the camera and the back mics unprotected also, but it have protectors for usb port and the audio jack.
The only fail that I notice is the holster, only once I was able to attach the phone to it, I haven't been able to do it again, it should be a lot more easier, but anyway I dind't plan to use it.
The phone dosn't gain a lot of weight and I still feel it comfortable.

Update:
The holster works great but the screen goes looking inside, the camera face out that is the reason why it dont fit when i tried

I don't know if that will be a great idea, I use mine all the time but for a test that I really need to use wolfram alpha I remove it, I haven't been able since then to use it with out bubbles in the screen protector.
Actually bought one,
Very happy with it, just the hard plastic back is easily scratchable, i already got a deep scracth in it... Tried it on a coloured back moto X too and the frosted back is wonderful !
15€ on Amazon.fr
any updates? i tried the link you posted but had no luck. i got my phone on jan 2,15 and havent yet been able to find a case i like for it.
I've had this case for about a week, and I have mixed feelings. It's a very rugged case, and I feel comfortable about the phone not being damaged. However, there are a few things I would change about this case if I could. First, since the case isn't waterproof, it could do without the integrated screen protector and headphone/power port covers. It takes a little bit of dexterity to hold the cover open just to plug in the charger. Secondly, the power and volume buttons could be more pronounced. I have accidentally turned off the screen many times while trying to adjust the volume.
I don't regret the purchase, though, and I'd definitely recommend it as an alternative to Otterbox.
I've had this case in white for just over a month, here are my impressions.
- sturdy case
- excellent quality
- great price
First thing I did was yank off the screen protector. It is a far better plan to apply something like a BSE skin than to keep using the screen protector that's included.
This means you can take off/on the case with little fuss as much as you want. Its easy to remove and seems up to the task of repeated removal.
The fact that the front of the phone sits in the trim piece is awesome. Makes for a sandwiched and protected feel.
I like the port covers. Yes, they can be a pain to pop open for time to time but again they also seem to be built well enough to take the abuse.
Since we don't have a waterproof phone but only the nanocoating inside I like the added ingress protection that they offer.
I have the white/grey case and it is gaining some darkness on the corners but I'll blame my grubby mitts on that one.
The holster is good not great. Phone sits well in it and feels well made. Too bad its missing the kickstand in the clip.
All in all I give it a 9/10.
For the price it sells for and the protection it offers its a no brainer.

I'll do the same, if I get the blue.

I have it in white. Here are a few photos I took. The photo of the front is a bit blurry.. Sorry!
I've had one of these cases for a while. I only use it when at work and do a manual job with dust, grit, grime and angry bovines. Well they're not angry all the time! The case is the dark gray/black and is in not bad condition considering. The Moto X on the other hand is pristine despites drops out of open tractor doors, drops onto concrete and countless excursions onto cab floors.
The built in screen protector is useful as I don't have anything on my moto x 2014 screen. I tried a couple of the glass screen protectors but removed both after a short time with the edges lifting and dust getting under the lifted edges. I also like the port covers though agree both are a little tricky to open. That said I rarely open either when the case is fitted. On previous phones I've has dust and chaff get jammed in the usb port and once somehow managed to get an animal feed pellet stuck in the headphones jack.
When I ordered the Unicorn case, unbeknown to me the mrs had ordered me an Otterbox Defender case so have that as well. It seems to bulk the phone more than the Unicorn case and the rubber texture makes it less easy to remove from pockets. It is also harder to fit compared to the Unicorn but on the other hand you about need a tyre lever to remove the Unicorn. It's a good case but prefer the Unicorn. I say again I only use a case on my Moto X for work. For pleasure it goes bare
I ordered the Beetle case, and it is in my opinion, the best case I have tried for the phone.
Thanks for the suggestion
So I posted several of the other colors I have coning on the general forum before I realized this forum said skins on it. Let me know if you guys what to see my other three combos I have on order already and I'll post pics. I have not ordered this one yet but I'm on the fence and very close to ordering.
Gonna be honest... That looks horrible! However, if you like it, then who cares?
I tend to stick to less in your face colours.
Less in your face colors = less stealable.
Once your skins on, the cases will fit a little different. I use one at work cause it's dangerous stuff. I use rhinoshield sometimes.

That one will be used on occasion. It won't be my primary skin but I've always wanted to try yellow and blue together. I'll never using a blue skin with red accents. Here's a picture of actually two more I have coming. Either the Red or the Blue will be my primary skin but I will change them out from time to time. I typically don't use a case with my Nexus 6p so the skin will be my only form of protection which isn't much. Outside of me dropping it which I plan not to the skin will keep the phone in new condition which my 6p happens to be brand new actually which I bought from a guy who had three 6ps. One of his were brand new which I bought that one but he gave me the deal of the century on it. Brand new in box 64g never turned on plastic still on it. I paid $150 for it! When I posted about my deal on Android central a couple of forum buddies of mine wanted to see if they could get the same deal I did on his other two he had left which they were used and no box came with his other two. They got theirs at $150 also. I was already in the market for one new as I have to have the original box I guess a pet peeve of mine but I never in a million years expected to find a brand new 6p 64g for $150. It came out of nowhere and he actually offered me a pixel XL 128g at first for $300. I just ask him by chance did he have a Nexus 6p and yep he had three of them but only one that he had never opened. I of course jumped on that one. Anyways here's the primary skins I'll be using as the yellow and carbon fiber blue skin was just for fun and yeah I like the pop. My next one I order will probably be orange and blue.
Here's the other one I'm thinking about ordering. It's got a regular blue back with a orange carbon fiber camera and orange Nexus letters.
I think out of those, the first of the 3 look the best.
Is it not a bit awkward swapping around skins? I always find skins to be a one time deal, they stretch when they come off the metal back of the 6p

Oh you like the yellow and carbon fiber blue too? I don't typically go for those two colors but I wanted something that popped. I thought that combo looked killer and I know it will once I install it on my 6p. Actually they come off really easily and I save the sheet they ship on so when I take it off I just stick it back on the sheet and then install a new skin. The very first one I ordered actually arrived today. It's solid red and came from mighty skins. Here it is.
Red on the back looks good. Not a fan of the front though, I much prefer skins that are one joined piece on the front.
Just ordered a concrete back skin from Dbrand for my 6P. £2.50 on eBay

Yeah I won't keep the front two pieces on as I was just seeing what they looked like. I actually have a new tempered glass arriving tomorrow for my 6p so once it comes in I'll remove the front pieces and put them up as they wouldn't work with a tempered glass protector at all. Right now I have a liquid glass protector on it from Skinomi which does allow me to use those for the front. I typically don't ever order the front on my skins. Like the three other ones I have coming are just the back and a couple with the frame too.
