Hi,
There are several ways to do this now.
Look HERE
HERE
Or use THIS TOOLKIT
Or THIS ONE
Thank you guy, even if i've already seen these threads.
The fact is my bootloader is locked but i've got the S-OFF.
Unfortunately, i still cannot install a recovery in order to root my Sensation XE.
I should have been more clearly: i just want to root my phone in order to make a backup with titanium backup (i don't want to lose my apps data).
Then, i would install an older RUU to backup my phone and S-OFF with revolutionarry.
So, there is an other way to root my phone (permanent root ain't necessary).
I dont wan't to lose my warrantly with HTC dev unlock either.

Download this: http://tinyurl.com/ICSHboot
Download my tool. It's in my signature. Follow all the instructions from the thread, but don't run any file.
Go to the tools folder inside the main folder of my tool, & paste the jb_hboot.zip file that you downloaded.
From inside the tools folder, run the file boot.bat
Once done, reboot to bootloader.
You should now have *JuopunutBear* instead of *locked*
If you only want root, then just follow all instructions from my tool thread and run the menu.bat as stated in the instructions. Make the appropriate choices & you'll have permanent root.

check my one click ROOTING TOOL present in the guide in my signature ..it just requires SOFF..no recovery needed too..and bootloader status doesn't matter
just connect your phone ..and then double click ..the required file(root.bat)
that's all you are rooted
EDIT:you can even use kgs tool for the same process too
It's getting wierd...
@ganeshp Hi man! I checked your thread yersterday and i didn't see that there was a rooting tool!
Unfortunately, the process worked perfectly ("EVERYTHING DONE..ROOT SUCCESS...ONE FINAL REBOOT NOW") but titanium backup or other apps which required root tell me that I'm not rooted..
I noticed that each time super user refuse root/super user access to these apps, i don't know. And yes i tried to change superuser automatic answer to "allowed" or "ask me".
@kgs1992 Thanks you. I tried it but when i launch boot.bat it tells me "waiting for device" (i tried to plug my phone in HTC sync mode too).
So then i tried to root with your tool and even if it tells me that the process succeed, titanium backup tell me that i'm not rooted.. Same problem as i said to ganeshp.
I'm a little but confuse now

Well if SU installed, then you are rooted.
You need to reboot to bootloader before running boot.bat
Yes, SU is installed but it does'nt grant root access to my applications!
I tried to run boot.bat, the process failed.
I dont know what is the problem now..

Did you download jb_hboot.zip and put it in the tools folder before running boot.bat? I linked you to it before.
Yes i did, i followed exactly what you told me to do.
By the way your URL is wrong, so i downloaded jb_hboot.zip from here http://unlimited.io/hboot-downloads/ (i took the pyramid-ICS one).

Yes, it's ICSboot, not Hboot, sorry.
Anyway, it should have worked. are you sure it didn't?
try opening this zip (attached) & putting this boot.bat in the same folder and running it.
It worked! Thank you so much!
I can see that "Juopunut Bear" above the S-OFF
I'm gonna try to root and install recovery now. If i have an other problem i'll make a double-post in order to up the topic. Otherwise i will just edit this one.
Thank you again for your help, your damn great guys

No worries mate.
Thanks to you I too found a small flaw in my code!
And thank ganeshp man, whatever I have made, is all thanks to him!
i am using HCL me G1 Tab (Android 4.0.4 ), Kernel: 3.0.8+.Recovery System 4[3e]. this is my 1st android device, bought it 1 week ago. I am new in Android World.....
I installed Superuser.apk (v3.1.3) [using normal apk installation method]..... Then I got root access in FX File explorer and Titanium backup... Today I found another SUPERUSER.zip (v3.2 signed)..
I tried to flash it from recovery but didn't work... So I just extracted zip files in following folders and replaced the previous ones:
1st mistake, i just copied superuser.apk to /system/app folder [using FX explorer]
2nd, replaced 'su' in /system/bin with the new one.
3rd, copied contents from xbin folder to /system/xbin
Done! and now Superuser not working......
Now u guys can feel what i've done.... just messed up every thing.. Superuser.apk has become a system app, so i can't remove it.. can't delete it because I lost root access in FX explorer. su command not working, because doesn't have permissions... Titanium backup not working... etc.. :crying:
i have some other problems [before all these happened]... after installing andriod sdk and adb drivers, adb commands don't find my device. so i can,t push 'su' again into device.. SuperOneClick stop responding after *daemon started successfully*....
can't install SuperUser in recovery mode.. coz i always get the error:
-- Install /mnt/external_sd ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Can anybody please help me??? I know its my mistake but still i hope for some help from u guys... Please tell me what to do now [when nothing is working]....
thanks in advance..

Thanks for ur reply.... i tried what you told... but it didn't work. now it seems that no pc toolkit can solve it because adb can't find my device.. so when i ran runme.bat, it stuck on *daemon started successfully*
i tried other toolkits also.. adb shell commands, superoneclick, etc.... but result is same.

Can you just re-flash your ROM ? I can't promise you it will work, but if you just clear caches and /system, then you shouldn't lose anything on the internal memory and can start over.

Also try installing drivers with and without battery phone off and phone on.
This is a 99 percent total shot in the dark.
I know your new to the Android world Keep this in mind for the future with all android apps "if it works don't f*** with it."
Its pretty simple, just reflash ur phone or simply try to restore it, every android device has an emergency downlod mode, if u can figure out urs, u can simply connect your phone to the pc in edm and input ur imei code or serial number, and abt 45 mins on a 150kB/s speed you will have your device back to normal

Delete SuperSU and maybe try again. And please tell if any errors occurred during the running of the script(s).

Also, there was a problem while rooting. The script said 'Failure' somewhere but still it continued and also said the Exploits were pushed successfully

Have u tried using motochopper only?
Update SU from play store (don't open yet) and install Busybox. After installing busybox, open SU. SU will recognize busybox and install the binaries!
If this dosen't work then use motochopper again.
I just ran that script once again, it works now. Thanks

Hey Navneet thanx,,,,,, The problem is solved.... Here are the steps that i followed
uninstalled super user from my device
rooted the phone with motochooper
Installed superSu (when you root with motochopper you will already have super user installed on your device but the binaries were not installed so instead what i did was installed SuperSu of chanfire so that i will get a conflict message and the chainfire will unstall the default super user and update the binaries for me.
And Bingo! Luckily it worked...............

Almost the same problem as above but not really
Hello guys! My name is Vlad, this is my first post here and this is my first time trying to root a phone. I got a little problem so I would really appreciate if you could guide me a bit step by step out of it.
I have a Sony Xperia L phone and I have tried to root it using an app that uses Motochopper exploit, downloaded from this link:
htt p:// ww w.4shared.com/zip/6WyYYjpCce/Xperia_L_ROOT .html
delete the spaces in order for the link to work. Sorry for not respecting the rule but there would be no other way to show what I used
It seems to work but I have an error that occurs at the end:
"Rooting phone...
This may take a few minutes.
Failure.
Cleaning up...
Exploit complete.
Press enter to reboot and exit."
I have tried the ideas mentioned until now: reboot, reinstall, update, etc. but nothing seems to work. Any idea to help me please?
P.S. I am not trying to offend anyone by saying this but if I need to use some program to install something complicate please explain me as I am a beginner into this.
Thank you!

There is no way you can get back TA partition if you lost the backup too. But its just for some warranty and DRM purposes. It shouldn't affect the user experience in general. As for Whatsapp and other updates, its completely unrelated to rooting or TA partition.

Hey guys,
I'm new, and I really don't want to bother you, (because I know the topic did come up several times before) but I'm having such big Problems and trouble with my 2-month-old Xperia E Single.
See, I've been trying to root it for two weeks now and friendly I got way beyond sick and tiered and got stuck somewhere between desperate and annoyed about it.
I went thru all versions of framaroot but in all of them only got Gandalf and Aragon to choose- non of them works (said everytime something about trying other exploids). Then I got to z4root that did nothing beside crash no matter what I did.
I tried other apps but after the installation they showed me lists of the mobile phones they could root, but - oh surprise- mine wasn't on it.
I moved on and started to include my Computer. I tried three programs, Srs was the only one that made sense to me (still installed) even with not being able to choose between gandalf and Aragon i got to the step where it says to back up your data . After confirming it takes two or three secs till the display tells me that the back up is done, but then non of the other things that should happen ever does, srs tells me i should wait until the back up is finished and a bit later i can move on. My xperia e just keeps on rebooting and stops after srs told me to try again.
This is what I've done so far.
If there is a way I like to root my sxe WITHOUT flashing it.
All I really want is to get around those settings of apps that you can't push on SD without having rooted the Device first.
I read a lot of stuff in this past two weeks, or may I rather say different things.
So normaly it's not a problem with the programs or my device, I checked all instructions and followed them.
But still here I am..
What am I doing wrong?
greetings,
Svenja
Hai buddy...

What is the build number?
11.A.2.23 has a more complex way of rooting than 11.A.0.47 / 59 has...

HIT THE THANKS BUTTON IF I WAS OF ANY HELP
Hello,
Well, I rooted my C1505 11.3.A.2.13 using http://cydiaimpactor.com.
First of all: go to your phone and checkmark Enable USB debugging, and Installation from unknown sources)
1. Download the version for Windows(or if you are on a Mac, the the Mac version, pretty obvious )
2. Open the .rar file with 7z or Winrar.(free download, just google, if you haven't already installed one of the two)
3. Just click Impactor.exe, no need to extract anything. It will take a few seconds to start)
4. Connect your phone, and if you haven't already, install the drivers.
5. Set Cydia to: # drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su (probably already the selected way)
6. Click start, and wait 20 seconds. And... You are done! Rooted!
You just have to install superuser/SuperSU manually to give apps root acces. And download Root Checker Basis, so you can check if Cydia worke!
Goodluck!
Cheerios
It's the
11.A.2.23
What app is the right root check?
Sent from my C1505 using xda app-developers app
Hello,
The best rootchecker is this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=nl
It is a free download, just go your phone's playstore and download it+install, and just click on verify root acces. That's it. It will show you, if your device is rooted!.
Check also this thread for 11.3.A.2.23(because Cydia doesn't suport 11.3.A.2.23, oops ): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435957
Flashing the kernel is possible with Flashtool(https://github.com/Androxyde/Flashtool/downloads). Just download the zip, and search for a proper Flashtool tutorial! If you don't know what you should do, I am happy to help you out! Just ask.
Cheerios, and goodluck!
I know my sxe isn't rooted. I bought it new, it's my first smartphone.
Do I have to flash it?

Hello,
The root checker is for if you are done with the rooting process. To verify if it worked. You need to flash the kernels with Androxyde's Flashtool. Just Google. Can't help you out more, cuz I'm on phone.

Hi guys, I rooted one of my friend's phone which is Micromax Canvas A110. After 30 mins of root, Phone started hanging [Low RAM]. So, I decided to unroot it. I rooted it through root master android application. It is a chinese app and everything is described in chinese in the app. So, I can't understand what is written. I searched google and saw that 'mulai root' option is to be selected to root, So i did and phone got rooted. But i don't know what option is to be selected to unroot the phone. Please anyone help me if you know which option is to be selected to unroot the phone. If any other application is there to unroot the phone permanently, then post about that. Framaroot is not working in my phone so don't give that as a solution. And please give only that solution through which phone can be unrooted without pc. I hope anyone of you will reply asap. Thanks in advance.

Dude if ur phn is rooted then check in ur phn there will be a app which name is "SuperSu". open this app>Go to Setting>in the bottom there will be a option "Full Unroot" click on that option and press OK. That's it now ur phn is Completely unroot...
Hi sourabh, First of all thanks for your reply. You said that unroot the phone through super su. But bro i have rooted through root master and it has installed some other app which does the work of super su. So, I think phone can't be unroot through this method. And yaa i want to ask you that can i unroot using any of the app, i mean that here i rooted through root master and it installed another app which does the work of super su. So even then also i can unroot using super su? Please give an accurate solution as i don't want to brick the phone.. Reply asap.. Thank you..

Yes this will unroot ur phone without pn try to unroot via superuser app. u dont need any other app..& do not need to uninstall other app...if u can't use any on that app then u can uninstall that app from ur setting -> app manager bt u need super su app to unroot ur device.
