[Q] Unable to install Magldr on Focus - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
I am trying to install a custom ROM on my Samsung Focus but when I put my phone on download mode and connect it to the computer all that Magldr says is "WAITING FOR USB CONNECTION"
I've tried multiple ports..my computer has Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and it installs the Samsung drivers automatically through update when I connect the phone to the USB.
I am not sure of what is wrong. I need HELP!
Thanks in advance

[Q] help laptop wont recognize download mode

ok i recently accidently flashed a stock ef09 rom which took away my root and custom recovery. well i went to go put custom recovery back on my transform m920 with sw upgrade. my drivers work amazingly usb debuggin on or off it doesnt matter. but in download mode my computer sees it as unrecognized device. i have not installed adb drivers due to an error: (SAMSUNG Android USB Modem Software was not installed successfully (16) there is a driver installed for the device, please uninstall it first). im running a dell 1737 laptop windows 7 64 bit and any help will be appreciated.
- Use Device Manager on your PC to uninstall whatever device is showing with the error (possibly 'Samsung ANDROID')
- Uninstall any Samsung USB drivers you have installed
- Unplug phone from computer
- Install these drivers, or Kies from Samsung
- Enter download mode and re-plug into PC
Let me know how you get on.
Good luck!
