Just ordered a second one of these Desk docs. It comes with a 1amp charger.

Looks pretty nice, but they lost me at "desktop cradle with the latest Lightning Port..."
Waiting for either the official orb or the TYLT personally, but USB docks are nice for USB debugging, etc.
Seidio has two available. http://www.seidioonline.com/seidio-LG-Nexus-4-s/8621.htm

do you know if this works with official bumper?
That looks pretty nice but I'll hold out for the wireless charging orb, course I may be waiting for that forever. CES had some nice wireless chargers though.

I'm sure it does. The bumper adds less bulk than one of their cases.

If anyone can confirm that it works with the official bumper I'll definitely get one ordered.
Ordered one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190782217708
but it is completely useless with the official bumper. Works great without it though!
Where can I get this in the US? It won't let me order it from the Amazon UK page

Has anyone picked this dock up or know anywhere they are sold in stores? So far I have been unable to find anything to answer whether my phone would fit into this dock using the Speck Candyshell case.
I e-mailed Kidigi, but they never responded to my e-mail.

Not sure if this helps at all, but I have the car dock and I would assume the car and desktop dock would have the same case-size tolerance. The car dock can definitely accomodate a case that is at least 1.5x as thick as a Case-Mate Barely There.
thanks stnguyen09
Of course I finally post about this dock and htcpedia finally adds the candyshell to site and it now pops up as a compatible case for the dock *orders!*
I have one. I'm pretty sure it will fit. I have the Nillkin and the Platinum cases from Bestbuy and they both fit.

Found Kidigi under a different name
If you search Amazon for RND Power Solutions Deluxe Charger and Data Sync Cradle , you can get the Kidigi cradle for $19.99. I bought one a week ago and the the instruction manual is from Kidigi. The only difference is no logo on the front.
I have a question..Can I just connect my dock to my desktop and charge overnight and have the ability to synch, all in one? Or do I need to use both cables separately to charge and/or synch?

It doesn't activate any docking features and the display stays in portrait.
It's just like plugging in a regular charger.
Hi All,
I'm looking for recommendations for a Touchpad case that will work with a Touchstone. I've heard nothing but positive things about the Targus Truss case, except that it is too thick to work with the Touchstone. I've heard that the Poetic Slimbook case will work with the Touchstone. Anyone have one? Any comments?
Or do I just go with the genuine HP case, which I assume works with the Touchstone?
Any reasonably slim case will be ok as long as there's no metal in it. I have my TP in a tpu case inside a fairly hefty leatherette case and it charges fine on the touchstone.
I saw go with the genuine since it works with the touchstone and offers the best value by offering protection and flips to be a stand. It's also pretty slim.

I have been using the Acase and it fits perfectly, looks great and charges fine with the Touchstone.

i have the incipio and it works as well.
Using the HP case, love it.
I just got one from wall mart called m edge. It was actually one of the only few that fit. It let's you rotate 360° while still attached and folds to a stand. Only $30. And slim and simple

I have the HP one.
It looks and feels good, its usable as a stand and works fine the the touckstone also. never tried another but i am very please with this one.

i would go with the Hp touchpad products.
haven't tried any cases with a touchstone yet but I do have the Original case and a pleather Chinese case thats horrible.
The original case is significantly better. till the areas near the volume and charge port stretch out for no apparent reason. Seems to be a common defect for it though.
I have the stock folio cases on mine. They work fine with the touchstone dock. Though the flap on the cover eventually sags.
Why the touchstone is still expensive....

Resurrecting it only because this bloody fantastic tablet is still popular.
I use the touchstone with the Targus, the OEM case from HP and TPU cases I pickup years ago. No problems.
I wish that I could still find the TPU type cases...
Touchstones are still around on FleaBay for $20 on up and there's some $$$$ ones on Amazon also.

I already own the Sanwa Wireless Charger .. whilst its very good it doesnt charge through my
case.
Are there any cheap Qi Chargers that work well with cases ?
I ordered the TechMatte and Foneman receivers from Amazon. I got the TechMatte on Saturday and the Foneman should be here tomorrow. The TechMatte seems to have issues with the 3 coil Qi car charging dock. Its documented in the reviews. It doesn't seem to hold a connection with the charger and you get the charging beep every 15 - 30 seconds. Does it with or without the Otterbox Commuter case. Don't have a home Qi pad to try it with.

go to a verizon wireless store and ask for either the nokia or lg charging pad. They are both nice, nokia $50 LG $40:silly:
Tried the Foneman this morning on the way to work. Held connection for the entire drive and the phone was still fully charged when I got here. Was running Waze and Pandora streaming on bluetooth the whole way.

it's very strange, I have the sanwa (standing version) and same issue with yours, it will not charge my note 2 and my other phones with case, but i'm using it now with ipod with case, s 4 mini with case and S5 with case, all works very good.
Go to Gmarket and look for a iffy brand charger made in korea, looks good and has very good detection with and without case, it's a single coil one, but is not fussy about positioning.
If you can pick up a sandisk receiver, it's very good.

I have the charging coil + a metal plate behind the back cover. There is a little bulge but the back cover to the phone fits like normal. It doesn't sit perfectly flat on a table anymore without the case but I always have my case on so it doesn't bother me.

I'm getting a Note 4 here soon and wanted some recommendations on accessories. Trying to keep things under $100 shipped for everything. Mainly the two things I need is a good dock and case, as well as a fitness arm band. I'm an Uber driver and the app does not rotate into landscpae mode so something that I can use in portrait or landscape is a pluss but the biggest thing is dead reliable and easy to remove and compatible with the case. As far as the case goes well I don't want anything ridiculous bulky but definitely something that will protect the phone from minor wear and tear and prevent damage in the event of drops. A waterproof case is not a requirement unless said case maintains hte profile of not being too bulky.
I have more portable battery chargers, usb cables, and chargers than I know what to do with. So I am good on those
For cases that provide good protection yet keep it not too bulky check out the seidio solez pro which is a hybrid case and also includes a kickstand, also my favorite is the speck candy shell grip case provides excellent protection and gruo while being pretty slim. I hear the Samsung OEM protective cover is good too. As far as docks I use the iottie one touch dock.

Thanks. I was looking into the iOttie Easy One TOuch 2. I notice the bottom support bracket is adjustable. Can this be adjusted to allow me to have access ot the charging port and S Pen while mounted?
I have the slightly older version my charging Port is fully accessible while docked but the s pen is not, the newer version may allow that though.
i had the UAG case on mine. Offers good protection and isnt to bulky, but it does have a very tight fit

get the iblason armorbox and the samsung oem qi back. an itian wireless charger + a 3 coil charger for the desktop and some 3m double sided tape for fixing the itian in your car and you should be good.

Ehhh I think I'm good on all that. I'm not big on wireless chargers
I tried the Tech 21 and now have the Samsung Protective cover.
The Samsung Protective Cover is FANTASTIC. And the same night I got the phone, Samsung sent me a 50% off any item in their store under $50 so I bought the case with it. Its slim, fits well, It almost looks like the Note 4 was made as a rugged phone and doesnt have a case on it at all. I would rate it a 10 out of 10. the tech 21 I woudl rate a 4 out of 10, I knew when I was putting it on I didnt like it.

You will have access to the charging port but the S-pen isn't that easy to get in and out. Here are some pics I recently took of it http://imgur.com/a/GP92Y
The s-pen has to be pulled on a little bit so it makes it difficult to try and wiggle it out while driving. It's not impossible though.

I had a look at it, it looks solid like any other otterbox case but It looks like itd be just too bulky for my tastes.
Hi,
I highly recomend you the original Samsung Vehicle Dock.
I got it since December and I love it, I don't know how I could live without it!!
Greetings.
Topic says all. How thick can a case be before it will not work.
I've yet to hear of a case that blocks wireless charging.
not sure about the metal cases but all the tpu and hard plastic cases I've used worked on the wireless charger.
metal cases will block the wireless. if you want woreless charget with case, don't support metal cases
Most of the time (if you're buying a higher quality case) you'll see that they'll include some text saying "Supports wireless charging". Spigen mentioned it on some of the boxes for the cases I ordered.

Maybe it's an issue with the PMA standard as a opposed to Qi. Right now I have the Neo-Hybrid with metal bumpers and using this charger here, it works just fine.

Give this video a watch:

PMA is terrible. The phone gets hot and has a very weak range. Go Qi and almost all cases should work.
I have a s6 and the nexus 5 wireless charger and it never connects with a thin TPU case on... Im a case guy and need a case... however if i remove the case it will charge just fine (havent dont a full charge yet...)
can someone test with cases on etc and see what you get, if it connects... i tested the charger with my wifes n4 with a similar case on and it connects without an issue... as soon as i put on the s6, nothing, just briefly shows the NFC icon and then nothing...
tried it with original clear case. plus i put about 4 credit card together. my phone still charging. so u can figure hows the thickness.
it seems my issue is with the nexus 5 charger, i just used a generic one i got off ebay a while back and it worked great... so selling the nexus 5 charger now lol
im pretty sure the case companies have designed all of their cases so the device can be chargeable with the case on

While it's not wise to assume, I think in this instance, it's pretty safe. But, always read reviews before purchase. Just to be sure.
Wireless charging thru case solved
I am a novice. My wireless charger wouldn't charge my s6 through the thick Otter case, even if I turned it upside down with the face on the charger, So being a novice I fixed the problem the old fashioned way instead of trying to figure out the technical way.
I took the s6 out of the case and drilled a hole thru the case. Put the s6 back in the case and it charges fine now.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Mine works fine (Spigen) with the exception I can't just put the phone down on it and walk away. I have to lay it down horizontal and confirm the light goes on the charger, but yes it does work.
cases with only board may work
