there's screen capture apps in market as well..
Screencast doesn't work on the Nexus 7 because Tegra 3 devices aren't supported. I had the same problem a while ago.

If you tap the settings while playing a YouTube video, an option for HD & SD is available. Maybe you already know this but I thought I'd share.

I really like the Google launcher a lot and it feel as its missing an important feature such as home screen rotation. I saw videos on youtube for a nexus 7 how to and wondering if it would world with our nexus 5. Have anyone tried it and got it to work?

I pulled down my notifications and I saw a notification looking like a native Android one but it said screen recording with a phone as an icon.
Didn't know the phone or rom (cataclysm) had that feature. I pressed the button under the notification and it seemed to record till I rapidly pressed the stop recording button. I now have a 5 sec mp4.
I don't read much and I have no idea how screen recording feature got into my notification pull down.
Any ideas?

I'm not too aware on that technology.
I tried with my 2 Nexuses with all settings enabled (WIFI-Direct & Cast Screen Wireless Display) but not avail. It seems like you need a 3rd device (Chrome cast) or Miracast devices.
Is there a way to record the screen and the sound (gaming videos making)
Without using capture cards (too pricey)
