i'm rooted, and i found the exact file that makes the screenshot sound under system/media/UI, and i renamed it to .bak, yet it's still making the sound..so i'm thinking there's another file to delete somewhere in here? anybody know how?

Yes, and I answered it. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

So I need to go back to stock using odin, which I followed the steps in the tutorial, however everytime I run odin back to the newest jelly bean update, it soft bricks. My phone reboots and is stuck at the AT&T logo. What did I do wrong?

If you used Odin to flash stock you will have a stock recovery which can factory reset.

I came across that same thread also. From past experiences with decompiling apks, it was kinda fusturating, so i just decided to wait for cm11. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will see some nightlies.
