Hey guys planning to get a new phone so need a lil help
What do u think which one is better s2 or nexus and why do u think it is better?

You have a One X. Why would youu want a new phone that is actually older?
But Nexus wins. It doesn't have the Exynos processor, but an HD screen, bigger screen, faster updates, lots of development (S2 does too).
Camera is meh but like I said you have a One X which has one of the best cameras on a smartphone in the market.

Hmm seems nexus would be a good choice

Nexus is a good choice as a side mobile. Nexus can always run latest andoroid version without aby efforts.

The Nexus will be better because you will get your updates much quicker and straight from Google! I'd go with that.

I am a GNex owner and I say that you made a great choise!!!
The speed and the screen are perfect!
I play with it and its Platform since the first day..
I just love it..!
GS2 it is good but it doesn't give you the same feeling as the GNex!

I faced the exactly the same question when helping my wife to decide a smartphone. I did a little research on the internet, and here are the reason why I choose SII over Nexus.
1. Super AMOLED vs AMOLED HD
Yes, Nexus as better resolution and higher ppi, but the quality of display, the color saturation on the SII is better than the Nexus when comparing them side by side
2. Corning Gorilla Glass
This is only for the SII, Nexus doesn't have that.
3. CPU + GPU
Galaxy S2 CPU：1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU、Samsung Exynos 4210。
Galaxy Nexus CPU：1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU、TI OMAP 4460。
Same CPU, but the GPU for SII is slightly better suited for high end graphics
4. Camera
Galaxy S2：8MP rear camper with 1080p HD video、2MP front
Galaxy Nexus：5MP rear camera with 1080p HD video、1.3MP front
So in the end, I choose the SII instead of Galexy Nexus. But please keep in mind, that the difference are minor, so if you have already choose the Nexus, stay with it. Both are excellent benchmark android device. Excellent phones from Samsung.

Pretty sure that's international. I would assume though that the US variant will include the Snapdragon S4 Pro quad to support LTE. At least I hope it will.

Yeah apparently Samsung are focusing on software tweaks like eye scrolling (another gimmick for mugs)as oppose to hardware improvements. In another words more plastic and more profit for Samsung.
Previous S3 and Note 2 Lte owner I'm pretty sure I won't be parting with £500+ for plastic again.

next week we will know more... it will be revealed on march 14 on time square new york. Anyway, rumours about an octa-core processing unit and a cam with 13MP keep me scratching my fingernails on my table. Lets hope for the best!

When they will present s4 ?

octa-core is just gimmick....there are two processors in sgs4 both are quad core...the phone relies on first quad core with A7 architecture for light use like apps and multitasking...when u play games and use phone heavily it switches the load to A15 quad core processor....so this is also quad core device !!

Now that the GS4 has been unveiled, definitely worth the upgrade from my GS2 Skyrocket, but for anyone that has a GS3, aside from the screen/hardware upgrade and the few additional sensor functions, I don't really see a point in jumping on it (just my opinion) right away, at least not at first. I just know that I held out and didn't get the GS3 because I haven't felt limited by my Skyrocket, so I'm drooling and excited for this gadget pron beast to be turned out on the public. Now the big question comes down to price tag, is it gonna be worth it to be a "pioneer" with it or do I wait for my contract to be up and agree to be a slave again to the carrier?

Considering I've picked my new phone out (HTC one) I figured the last title was obsolete. So what's your next phone? Maybe try to change my mind. Lol

I would probably go for the s4 considering I've had my s2 and a captivate before but since I got my nexus 7 I've been doubting my love for the galaxy phones... ahh! Can't decide.

In the same boat. Want to wait for the s4 but my n7 makes me want the nexus 4. I also like the fact I won't have to sign another 2 yr contract.

If motorola makes it I'm probably gonna get that. Motorola phones usually have limited developing but they make a solid handset. If they make a nexus then it'll be the best of both worlds.

Although the flex screen look awesome and has a better chance of less damage rate... I just don't fully see why that would make a difference in phone now Anti damage scratch scruff phone bezel definitely one for me lol

S4 is a minor bump? lmao I'll give u that nexus has better/more frequent updates but lesser hardware, the later being the main reason I steer clear of them.

as for the s4 being only a "minor" upgrade, I know ur not under informed majick, but the new 13mp camera/sensor and exynos 5 alone make it A HUGE JUMP. Skyrocket to s3 is minor, hell I don't even consider it an upgrade with the same camera, MAYBE 15% CPU increase due to later architecture. But quad core big.LITTLE, with more power and better battery? Sorry but for me that's huge.

But what can you do with the power? Same thing you can do with the rocket.
More megapixels = smaller sensor. Not necessarily better.
And the bigger battery? You are going to need it with the increased power demands of the quad core.
So it runs games faster... But I don't have ANY lag on my rocket.
Heck- my rocket is probably 20% or more faster than my kindle fire 2 tablet.. But the games run subjectively the same..

Will you be getting the Samsung Galaxy S4?

I'm not extremely excited about the design but the octa-core processor in combination with 2GB RAM sounds like music in my ears, although i'm disappointed that TouchWiz is basically the same, but my Galaxy SII contract is ending soon and I might be willing to pay a little more to get the S4.

I would love to get the S4 since I have S2, so its a reasonable upgrade.

I doubt it. I have the S3 so I will probably wait until the "SV" or until the S3 starts to feel old and unable to do what I want it to do.

I will not, because to be honest it is only a minor update compared to the S3. It is essentially the same phone but a better screen and SoC and a whole bunch of touchwiz "features". I never use touchwiz anyway...

I'm definitely getting the s4. Love the new real metal band around the phone. I was disappointed at first at the lack of styling changes until I saw the s3 - s4 comparison photos. It is absolutely a stunning phone.
Now only question is, International octa core versiob minus the lte or a quad core snapdragon us version. I opted for the international version for the gs3

Nah. As a TMO user who enjoys the International/World phones: Galaxy S4 news was a disappointment. Was really hoping Samsung would've stuck with just 1 phone especially for us who enjoy Samsung using Wolfson DACs in their phones instead of mediocre Qualcomm SoCs. Their desire to constantly do yearly releases with little benefits is wasteful. They should've just stuck to promoting the S3 alongside software updates until they really have a good product on their hand.

What groundbreaking hardware? The same SoC as GS4, but slightly lower clock speed?

..I have personally experienced that with s2 and I know my friends who got broke note 2 just by falling from 2 feet...
And one more thing exynos processors they are closed source..which means not devloper friendly..
Custom roms has too many bugs..and they r using octacore word just for attracting more people

HTC One is still the best phone.. even better the s4!

After using HTC for the last couple of years I really hate phones that feel cheap. The plastic quality build of Samsung phones makes me stay away from them. And I'm not a fan of TouchWiz at all.
