Having issues with the gallery locking up my note when checking pics. Tried clearing data / cache, force close and reboot which temporarily fixes it... but issue returns. Tried factory reset, again temporary fix.
Memory / cpu use seems high (see pic) and occasionally force closes. It cant be hardware because its also happening on another note.
Is any one else having issues?

Hi All,
The camera crashes sometimes and I have to force close it. When I try to open it again, it displays a black screen for 2 seconds with maximum brightness then kicks me back to my home page.
I have disabled Geotagging and going to Settings -> Applications -> Manage
Clearing the camera data
Clearing the cache
Force stopping & reopening the camera app. does not resolve the problem.
I need to restart my phone in order for it to start working again.
Does anyone know of another way to revive the camera after it crashes without having to restart?

I'll assume that camera worked properly when you installed the rom. If that is the case, just flash the SAME rom on top of it, without wiping anything, and you should be fine.

I'm running InsertCoin 3.4.0 and not having any problems with the camera or ROM itself, but rather a third-party application that will sometimes crash the camera and prevent the camera app. from being opened again until I restart.
Just would like to know if there's anyone out there that knows of a way to restart the camera without restarting the phone?

I got a 2nd hand N915T running 4.4.4 recently . For the stock camera app, when it tries to auto focus, very often it will freeze for seconds and the resumes. And eventually, it will crash saying "Camera failed". Sometimes, it will just freeze with some random screwed up graphics.
I have tried wiping cache, but after a few pictures , it will happen again. I am not sure if it's a conflict of certain apps.
Is this a known issue with 4.4.4? Does it get fixed with 5.0.1?

- Clearing cache of the phone
- Resetting the camera app settings
- Factory reset
All of those doesn't work
Update: Problem solved after leaving the BETA 3 (DRL7) and going to (DSD3). All seems to be working fine after forcing an update using odin.
Hello, anyone experiencing here blurry main camera? I noticed my device having focusing issues after May update. Tried force stopping camera app and clearing cache, but to no avail.
I have been having the same issues...
I seeing camera not focusing regularly... changing zooms sometimes fixes it...
Samsung told me to reset the phone, even thats not fixed it...

Updated to OB1 for Android 12. It was an unstable mess so I factory reset and things are so much better! Apart from a couple of minor issues like Sesame Shortcuts or the Action Launcher Google plugin stopping,I haven't encountered anything major.
... Except for the camera always crashing after a few seconds. Of course tried clearing data but same keeps happening... Any ideas? Camera is v 5.9.43 .
