Install better battery stats, normally I really don't like info that inbuilt app gives. And anyway what's your battery life?
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda app-developers app

Same problem is with me.
Calibration didn't work for me,but one of my friend is getting battery backup for almost 2 days.
Somehow i make my phone run 12 hours, by doing :
1. Reduce brightness to the minimum level for you to see clearly.
2. Use Advanced Task Killer app to kill apps residing in ram & using cpu & draining battery uselessly.
3. Keeping wireless networks disabled until needed.
4. Keeping screen off, untill you need it.
Basic yet remarkable steps.

use battery saver app from the market and enable the smart backup option.....works for me..:good:

I am getting around 12 hrs

That app that is also a widget that maintains your battery and auto kills any app that runs that's using up the battery. Its a widget and helps u idle at like 4-10ma.

Hey I think what you're looking for is Juice Defender if I'm not mistake.
The app task killer wouldn't help you to extend the battery life instead it would drain your battery. Use it only when you really NEED to kill some specific apps.
No its a app that u can use as a widget that monitors the battery at all times. But ill still try it thanks a million

Tasker may be able to do this, however I haven't used Tasker yet, so I can't be certain.
I recommend just looking for an app which will activate power saving settings or alert you when the battery reaches a certain level.
Have a look at Juice Defender.

Check to see if the "Best Wi-Fi Performance" option is enabled under the Advanced WiFi settings. If it is, disable it.
Try using GSam Battery Stats (used to be badass battery stats I believe). It can give you a breakdown of what apps are chewing through the battery. Might help to give you some direction.

Hes not using a sense rom so that option isn't available. I also have wakelocks using AOKP and I can't track them down using either BBS or BBM.
I have the same problem too eventhough i put wifi on during sleep only when plugged in under setting.

Yeah I Mon aokp still can't find a solution
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
have you been through your apps and Widgets to see what may be keeping your phone from sleeping?
I also have lots of wake locks on CM9, latest nightly. Lost 11% battery in 8 hours last night while I slept.

App that helps battery?

Are there any apps out there that LEGITIMATELY help save/prolong battery life? I have memory booster running but that just helps my phone run smoother by killing cached app processes. Anything you guys can recommend?

This phone requires it's own nuclear power plant lol.
Seriously though, don't use memory boosters. They kill battery.
My setup is, CPU Tuner with timeriffic to set display brightness. With Maz's latest kernel I can get by... mind you I live in a very bad signal area (2 bars if I am lucky).
I set cpu to 216 when screen off with performance governor. Also I turn off data and Wi-Fi when screen turns off.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
I have mazs latest beta kernel as well. Don't really see a difference in battery life from his previous oc kernel. Ill try CPU tuner though

Sure, but be careful with it. I once it accidentally to low enough power to where I could not get out of screen off (kept going back to screen off). Also using one cpu does not work.

Does CPU tuner even work with a kernel that not over clockable?

Would, but only two cpu states will be accessible... fairly useless.
Edit: you need voltage states for intermediate voltages, then it should work. But I have never seen a non OC kernel with granular voltage definition.

Antutu battery saver is genius. on the pulldown notification it gives battery % (+battery added)
so like 100%((+30)
also clean master (which is a memory booster) doesn't run in background so it doesn't deplete battery as much as some others
Sent from my LG-P999
i installed android booster, but also procured a brand new stock battery, and i actually am enjoying about 50-60% increase in battery life... although it still is not a lot (as far as i'm concerned!) after draining it, recharging to 100%, and then calibrating, i went 7 hrs 47 mins from 100% to 50% with normal use - calling, texting, some video, some gaming. not to bad considering my old battery would only last about 3 hours or less with the same kind of usage!!!

Check out DS Battery saver. I use it on my N7, catch is, to save battery it turns off all wireless signals. It also forces the device into deep sleep as well.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
well i wouldn't want ALL wireless signals to be disrupted. How would i receive phone calls lol
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yea, if you get the paid version you can create custom profiles. It's a nice app for a tablet, but only so nice for a phone.

I have used it. Phone works (would be pointless otherwise as we already have the airplane mode).

I just started using "Auto3G" to turn off data and periodically cycle it on to check for emails, etc. I'm getting over 48 hours with mild use.

Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I'm using Trinity ELP file "ELP-G2x-06022012.zip", which has worked best for me as my G2X doesn't work that well with faux-based kernels. I'm also running dual boot with Maz's awesome JB rom with hardware acceleration - this is where I install games and experimental apps.

Probably Juice defender ?
You can squeeze more power if you see that your phone is sleeping more ( I mean deep sleep state) You can check that with apps like Trickster mod. Not sure if you need to have the phone rooted to view that details. You can give it a try and let me also know. Never tried that app before rooting.
Be conscious when installing apps that constantly wake up the phone unnecessarily. Further, if you network option is set to "GSM only", phone will eat way less power than compared to "WCDMA only". So use 3G only when you want it.
Owh ok thx for the info...
Sent from my C2105 using xda app-developers app
Hey dude, what choice do you use when ur using the juice defender??? Im using customize but theres no change
Sent from my C2105 using xda app-developers app
Actually it's better to not use any power saver apps. Most of the time they end up draining more battery than helping conserve battery. If you really need one, I would recommend Greenify. It's a good app that helps with preventing apps from draining your battery. The only downside to this is that you need root to use it.
