So over the past few weeks I've exchanged a few of my Nexus 7 devices for various reasons and even gave the iPad Mini a full run to compare. I'm back to my 4th and final device (32GB Nexus 7) and loaded up Flixster as I have about 10 movies on there.
I'm trying to download the movies to my device since I don't always have access to wifi where I'm at and it say the device limit has been reached. I can't seem to see where to find an option for this in the app itself or on the site. I just want to de-authorize the previous devices but I'm at a loss on how to do it...
Any ideas?

Hey all a friend of mine told me of this great website...www.icefilms.info...It lets you stream movies right to your windows or mac comp. and even smart phones. Problem is I can't find a way to get it to work for the g tab. It uses a couple of programs and they are as follows:
-DivX web player, which compresses the video
-Grease monkey (monkey script), which reads the file to play the video
-ICE Quick stream, which allows you to stream video from megaupload and
2shared
I see that other ice film members got Grease monkey to work with IE, Firefox, Safari, and Google chrome. I found another user who got it to work with Ubuntu (although you had to jump through several hoops to make it work, seemed kinda difficult)
So my question is, how do I get this to work on my g tab? (I'm pretty new at this but I tried to download all the browsers since flashing my unit with tnt lite 2.2 and I keep getting an error message). So do I have to flash a new OS like windows, OSX, Ubuntu, or Linux? or is there a way to keep my android platform? (which I really like cause of the app store and I don't want to lose t
It seems like a real difficult question (to me anyway) but for anyone who can help I thank you a million times in advace
Why don't you go the smartphone route? The Android browser is not equal to Google Chrome or other browsers as it is more limited in functionality.
If the requirements are all 3 apps listed above, then you most likely need a different OS (or choose the smartphone option).
Have you tried the thread about playing on Android phones?

No I haven't but will check that right now thanks, as for the smart phone way....just didn't want to do that cause if i'm watching a movie and someone calls it interferes with the movie also wanted to take advantage of the dock with the HDMI out on it to hook to my tv. I'll let you know if that thread works....thanks again
It worked thanks. I remember reading this post a couple weeks ago, but when it was talking about doing it on the phone I didn't think it would work on the g tablet. Like I said I'm pretty new at all this stuff but learning real fast with some great help. I am going to post a thread how to do it cause there are 2 different ways, you can use the yx player or you can watch it right on megaupload.

Hi everyone,
I got an important question and searched this forum before.
As Nexus S doesn't support MHL, i wanted to know if anything else can stream the nexus's screen.
So, i found many apps (Air Droid and all his variants) linked on this forum, but it doesn't do what i want.
Those apps are great, but i want to play my games on a bigger screen and, they doesn't support it.
Also, i'm looking to change my phone for a Samsung Galaxy S III, and on the specs, it's written and shown that you can play the phone game on your TV without any cable, using 'WI-FI Direct'.
I found a 'WI-FI Direct' option in my settings using Slim ICS Rom but, when i tryed to get more information anywhere on the internet, it shows that Nexus S seems not to support WI-FI Direct.
So i tried to activate it, and it turn out gray instead of showing the box checked.
Guess what ? I also think WI-FI Direct isn't supported now.
But as i can stream me playing any computer game in the internet (using X-Split client) i asked myself, why not on Android ?
Nexus's S screen resolution is not that high and Wi Fi's speed would be enough to stream it i guess. (mentionned Wi Fi and not my internet speed cause this will be used in local)
Any clue about where i could get more informations ? Or if any app does this ?
Thanks for reading, hopefully there is a solution, and it wasn't on another topic or suject did not manage to find .
I realize this might be more of an apple question but i feel like ive already searched to the ends of the interweb on apple forums and gotten nowhere and when i ask a question over there the only answer i seem to get is "shouldve bought an ipad"... So I'm wondering if there is a way to sync an itunes library with an android device without a computer? As far as i know, all of the common apps out there (doubletwist, airbind, etc) need to be set up on a computer first. Im trying to bypass this step with my little brothers iphone 5 and a rooted android tablet with ICS. I bouht him the tablet for xmas, but decided to give it to him early when his laptop was stolen earlier this week. He doesnt live near me or i would let him use my laptop to sync with his itunes. Is this even possible? Or will he need to find a computer? Please help!!!
There's doubleTwist player on Play Store which I've heard is pretty awesome at syncing iTunes- all for free. If you dkm't need a whole new player then there's quite a few other apps on market, not sure how reliable they are though...
Soryuu, thanks for the reply. My understanding is that you still need a mac or Windows computer to set up doubletwist I initially? Or am I wrong? Can I do this with just an iPhone and an android device??
Edit: Yeah, you need a desktop to work doubleTwist/Airsync and so on.
An iPhone and an Android device?
I don't think there's any easy solution to this except using cloud storage like Google Drive or something- which would be slow enough on its own- and even then, depending on how many songs you have it'd be a tediously slow process downloading them onto the tablet. If you are using cloud storage... I've never used iPhones so I don't know but can they make zips out of files? If you can that may make it slightly easier- zip the music up (if possible), upload to the cloud and then download it as one package.
There is this app that seems to work like NFC: http://m.wikihow.com/Use-Bump-Between-an-iPhone-and-Android
But 1.) Not sure about tablets- I assume so if its that popular of an app but there was no mention and
2.) Apparently its semi-functional according to some of the reviews I've seen.
I guess you could try it out and see what happens.
Other than that I don't think there's much else...

All of the threads for the Logitech revue are over 2 years old. I was wondering if there was any chance that anything will change or is this pretty much stick a fork in it everything that can or will be done with it is over...
I was wondering if something like aircast would help add some functionality to it or anything. I am thinking that replacing it with an oyua would be a better move i have also been thinking of getting a chromecast then plugging it into the logitech revue as it has hdmi and usb.
It regularly needs rebooting and netflix, pandora and many other apps are old old versions generally speaking it was nice at first and has grown to be annoying.

Don't give up hope on it just yet... I'd recommend installing Smart Memory Booster Pro and 1Tap Eraser Pro and then enabling this in Chrome err well disabling really: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Revue...Revue-To-Run-Faster-With-Improved/td-p/892324
^-----(2) I went to my Chrome settings - then Advance Settings - then Under The Hood - then Adobe Flash Storage Settings. From within the Adobe Flash Settings I went to Global Flash Storage Settings and unchecked the box that says "Store Common Flash Components To Reduce Download Times".
Several web sites that I go to wouldn't play the Flash Videos due to the way that the site interacts with the GTV Flash plug-in. Either I would get an error message or a spinning circle and the videos would never load. After I unchecked the box in my Flash settings (as I mentioned above) - all of the videos played good. I did some comparisons and I didn't notice videos or web pages loading any slower with that box unchecked - so I prefer to keep mine unchecked. Here's a link to an article that mentions this situation with Flash - and the article recommends the same solution (in step #5).)
Also a oldie but a goodie if ya haven't tried it yet is... Using PlayOn for Hulu Plus, Crackle and many more unsupported app's as well as installing Plex
I found these tricks the other day that I haven't tried yet post #4 and then on down: http://www.googletvforum.org/forum/...-run-faster-improved-stability.html#post36719.
Hope this helps to squeeze more life out of your Logitech Revue
Here's a few unsupported yet fully supported sideloaded app's I've discovered to be working and useful: http://www.googletvforum.org/forum/logitech-revue/8766-unsupported-app-s-list-work.html#post58331
hey all, I use my nexus 5 as a hotspot for my windows tablet. when im connected to be nexus 5s wifi I cant download any apps from the windows app store. but every other data related program on the tablet works fine. now if im connected to a traditional wifi router then the appstore will download the apps. I have been on the phone with Microsoft tech support for over 2 hours trying to trouble shoot the issue. They even logged on via remote desktop and still could not find a solution. so this is my last ditch effort to solve this problem.. bring up to the great minds of XDA.
I am using windows 8.1 non rt
Odd one.
Any add blocking / altered hosts files on your Nexus?
Only thing I can think of.
May be your account is not update..
