You can probably flash from the original ROM, which you can download here: http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers
Click on Tablet -> Iconia Tab -> A700. Then below, click on OS. You should see a 380MB file. Use that to flash.
This is of course from the UK website and will be regional. But you can probably do the same thing from the Acer website of your region as well. I think there were instructions in the file. But if I remember correctly, it was a straightfoward update which you put on your microSD and let the tablet do the work.
Good luck.
But have in mind that, you can't relock the bootloader again. Only if you are flashing the ICS Stock the bootloader will be locked, but after updating to Jelly Bean it will be re-unlocked again.
Please read the FAQ's here before you flash the ICS Stock ROM, I don't know if you can brick your device with it.
Thank you very much for your interest but I already downloaded form acer OS_Acer_Acer.AV051.A700.RV09RC08.PA.CU_A41J_A.zip but every time I try to install it with cwm the installation its aborted.
At what stage does the installation fail?
Is there a reason in particular you wish to go back to the stock ROM?

Hi, I just got my tablet 3 days ago, the jb stock was working a bit slow rendering some web pages but was flawless, and there are only 2 options the icnionian 2.6 that has some kind of parental control (it doesn't load certain websites) , it has some touchscreen issues and and flash doesn't work well. The cm 10.1 is better but the sound in videos is too low, the tablet gets a bit warmer, it has some wifi problems and runs unstable when you install flash, and honestly none of those two ROMs show a remarkable increase in speed. When I try to install OS_Acer_Acer.AV051.A700.RV09RC08.PA.CU_A41J_A.zip it goes all the way until updating software but it simply says "installation aborted", it doesn't show error 7 or anything like that.
Erm, is it even possible to install an official ROM with CWM?
Can you go to the official recovery/flash modus?:
ICS:
- Press [vol-] + [power]
- Once the tablet vibrated, let go [power] and keep [vol-].
- Once the text that appears on the screen ("loading recovery kernel image"), let go [vol-].
Click to collapse
JB:
Boot into recovery:
- Press [vol-] + [power]
- Once the tablet vibrated, let go [power] and keep [vol-].
- Now the tablet vibrates a second time, let go [vol-] and press [vol+] quick
- Once the text that appears on the screen ("loading recovery kernel image"), let go [vol+].

Otherwise try to download the beta ROM, find the recovery.img somewhere in the zip and flash the stock recovery in fastboot mode:
http://klood.me/public.php?service=...0_AV043.RV00RC00_AV043.RV07RC04_EMEA_CUS1.zip
Fastboot boot mode:
- Press [vol-] + [power]
- As soon as the tablet vibrates, let go [power] and play [lock]
Click to collapse
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Note: The fastboot command only works with the appropriate exe and DLL files. You can get them through installing Android SDK or download them individually:
http://code.google.com/p/texasice-c...wnloads/detail?name=adb_fastboot.zip&can=2&q=
Delete the dash(-) and the name of your os and place all the files in the same folder as recovery.img. Then (in Windows) press Shift and click right on an empty spot in the window. Click something like open command prompt here and enter the command with the tab plugged in on the computer with the official (Google or Acer) drivers installed and USB Debugging on (setting in the settings ).
Can't guarantee it'll work or brick your tablet. It's just a wild theory.
Edit:
Oh, and then copy the file to your tablet's root and call it update.zip. Boot the tablet in recovery and it'll install zip file.
Thank you very much for your suggestion buddy but I'm not going to risk bricking my tablet

Hello Guys:-
I am hoping somebody can and is willing to help me?
Problem---My TF101 Will not boot in to recovery!
Symptoms---When I try to boot in to recovery with the volume + power button combo the small white writing comes up in the upper left hand corner, it writes that it is booting in to recover but does nothing at all just stays there motionless on the Asus load screen. The only way I can get out of this is by doing the volume + power button combo again but this time NOT pressing the volume up button and it gives me the opportunity to erase all data or cold boot back in the OS.
It's the same if I try to boot in to recovery from CWM or via any of the boot to recovery one click apps available in the play store.
I never had any problems until Megatron parts told me there was an update and would I like to install it? I clicked on 'Yes' The update never worked and MY MACHINE CRASHED, THUS GIVING ME THIS BIG PROBLEM ALSO!
I am running CM9.
Any thoughts or assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks in hopeful advance
Dodge.

Looking at it now but dont understand it yet. Thanks any way mate
What's not to understand
1) Download and extract PERI to it's own folder.
2) Plug in transformer.
3) Run the .bat file.
4) Follow it's instructions.
5) Root
6) ???
7) Profit!

Thanks. I worked it out, it was not difficult as you said.
Alas! It did not work. I have a crazy, crazy problem it seems.
If I use your system for some reason my pc just can NOT see my TF. BUT
If I try to boot to recovery with my already installed CWM, I just get stuck on the EeePad boot screen as before but now your system sees my tf and knows its there but still can not work because it says, although it sees it is there it is off line and thus can not communicate with it or push to it.
How crazy is that?
Should I just give up and keep using my breaking down CM9rc0 untill it dies for ever or do you think there may be a way?
Cheers fellas
Dene.
PS. I tried to do a factory reset. I clicked on 'Reset Tablet' then 'Erase Everything' but it just boots back to start up screen and sticks there again, I cold boot and everything is still there and nothing is deleted.
HTC Sync on my TF is greyed out and will not do anything either.
As you Americans say.........'This is way above my pay grade'lol
Thanks again
Hello guys, before with the rom hidro ponic 4.4 all was well. After i want change my rom and i've brick my asus after flash rom unofficial cm10..because the camera apk not found, and dispay is total green..I suppose the problem is the rom but after another flash rom the problem is same.On again the display is lock on the logo Asus and upstar on the little: the device unlock..stop.My asus there's no way to get it to recognize at pc and the driver installed not found..are't fastboot logo in Controll Pannel.I've not possilìbility to choce android--usb--wipe data.Help me please thank you sorry for my English
What about booting into recovery? Or fastboot?
As far as I understand your post Android isn't booting, but what if you hold volume-down when you turn on the tab?
I have almost the same problem. I flashed a bad boot blob (vanilla linux, not android) and now I'm stuck at the first Asus logo if I boot normally. But I still have fastboot and CWM recovery so I'm confident I can get it back into shape (even though a restore in CWM didn't help)
I think there's no way to unbrick the device, because I have the same problem.
I flash my device to official 4.1 and I found I lost root of my device
So I try to downgrade my device, but I failed...
Then I try to enter recovery and I failed again...
At last I try to wipe data of my device but it had no respond...
Of course,I had to reboot my device...
The result is:It bricked...
The symptom is just like the thread starter
What should I do???
I tried to contact the customer service of ASUS,but they said the device which unlocked by yourself couldn't get any warranty, even I willing to pay for it
(I think the customer service of ASUS is too bad, especially their attitude)
(I'm also sorry for my poor English...)
this is simple
download the asus jelly bean launcher.zip
from their website
unzip the launcher so its just the eepad 10.blahblah.zip
if it says update launcher you still need to extract this
then flash the twrp jelly bean recovery
now add the official jb rom to an external sd card
and flash
reboot
and voila
reboot again to fastboot and reflash recovery afterwards
and then flash root
worked for me

Thanks guys Today i can try the guide..we ope in God:angel:
I try twrp jb recovery but not function because the teerminal it's impossible go in download mode (down+power)....The Jig Usb forf Asus exist?
Hello guys, but for this type of brick no one has an answer? Method with nvflash can 'operate according to you ..? But I'm trying to appear APX and install the drivers as a guide is a company because it makes them install it
As far as I can see nvflash is coming to TF300T, it has been developed for T201 (http://androidroot.mobi/t3_nvflash/). But at least for TF201 they have to have fastboot first, so that may not help you.
If I understand you correctly nothing is booting and you have neither ADB nor fastboot access. In that case I don't think there's anything to do except wait and hope for a working nvflash or to try to have Asus fix it, but since the tab is unlocked they probably won't do so for free.
It seems this tab bricks easily.
I have the same problem, and I hope nvflash too. But I don't know nvflash in dev or no. This my best device which die first. Cry
Having the same problem here also. Only had the tf300t for less than a week.
Here is a sticky to a thread I made. I'm just waiting for people to put in a bunch of ideas. Hopefully NVFLASH doesn't need fastboot.

...Tried it about 1000 times, not possible, but thanks anyway. No fastboot possible, NVFLASH won't be working either...
I asked our friends at androidroot.mobi if it would be possible to have this issue solved with NVFLASH, this is their response:
@AndroidRootMobi Is it worth waiting for NVFLASH on (very hard) softbricked TF300t? Or should I go to @Asus
@AndroidRootMobi
@Joanuz @ASUS Sorry. If/when we support TF300T, you will need device-specific files. So no brick recovery if you're already bricked.
It sucks, I know. I'll be sending mine back to ASUS tomorrow. No warranty. Hopefully a reflash will do the job (normally it should be around 75 euro), if the mainboard needs to be replaced, the total costs will be around 200... I will open a thread here once it's under repair. Good luck!
Same problem. Stucked at Asus Logo but i can go into recovery. What can I do? Help me please
My PC finds it as Fastboot.
Seem I'm no alone...
Seem I'm not the only one.
This morning I bricked my tablet, 5 minutes after I bought a wall charger on EBay... :crying:
As for now the only answers seem to be from people that don't read post good.
We can't get to use the recovery...
Again, if someone knows how reset the tablet prior booting...
I beleive that its the only other way.
The last possibility, buy a new one...
I believe the problem started before.
- I unlocked my tablet more that a month ago, at the Jelly Bean release.
- Rooted
- Installed the official release
- Everything went well, up to this morning
- I noticed that my Rom Manager Premium start to show adds
- Goo manager refused to install recovery script
- Then I tried to go in recovery, it fails.
- I said to myself that it was better to start from scratch
- I tried a Factory reset using setting menu.
- After this step the tablet started to show This device is unlocked
-After the last step the device wouldn't boot no other way...
I don't know what happened but it seem a bit strange that everything worked fine before this morning.
For sure I'll keep exploring ways to get out of this mess.
But if I have to buy another tablet, there's a chance that I'll go to a Nexus 7...
Good luck to all the other unfortunate that that are in the same boat.
Alain
Hi back,
After I bricked my device i sended back my tablet to canadian customer service.
At first the didn't wanna fix the proble and the service told me that he needed to change the motherboard.
I argue a while and after an email discussion whit the customer service agent, they told me that they would fix the problem for me THIS TIME.
This morning I received my tablet and everything seem to work fine, as it was reset to factory.
BUT, after I started to investigate, seem that in no time the cover removed.
And maybe the motherboard change is a trick to suck more money from the users.
In fact I can't understand why you'de have to change the motherboard after the tablet is bricked.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I find this way of doing thing awefull, and I consider lucker that I got outa this mess...
Good luck to the others unfortunates
Alain
No need waiting for NVFlash, it is here (check developer section) but will not work on unit if already messed up.
I have used two things that aren't mentioned here; I don't recommend either but if you are ready to ship off it might work for you as it did for me.
Both times were caused from ota updates.
1. use of reset button while powered on, if that fails to help, poweroff and reset button again.
2. let battery run down, put ac charger on power strip which is turned off but plugged into ac. Hold foot over power strip button, hold power and down volume on unit; mash power button on power strip with foot while holding power and down volume on unit.
I should have said neither of these fixed my unit; they just allowed me to get into fastboot to fix my unit.
Bricked TF300GT (please help)
Hello developers,
I have a bricked Transformer the goes in a loop flashing ASUS every 5 seconds or so. That was after having unlocked and then reset to factory default.
I have been reading a lot of articles at various forum for a solution. I have never seen something so confusing. Please is someone can point to me a page where the un-bricking is described step by step for that aparticular model?
Many thanks in advance
Yves
NB: I have tried the -volume and power button trick or the +volume power button that just make a USB connection on my PC

i got my tf300t bricked to.
got my tablet this weekend wanted to install cyanogenmod.
just did a week early'er a other one (the one for my mother)
that went well
my tablet installed de orginal 4.2.1 from asus.
Today wanted to install cyanogenmod.
run first de unlocker v8
the installed fastboot twrp421.blob
when i went to the twrp menu the cyanogenmod wont install, but the orginal wont start also not, it want nothing to start.
tryed with external sd.
ok i thought i want cmw so i run the recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-tf300t.img
went wel also.
i can only go to cwm but they are no file rights and still can install a zip or mount a sd internal or external.
now fastboot is not working
when i turn the tablet on it is going to cwm
wat i can do?
edit:
cmw version = v6.0.2.3
Me too! asus ask 230$ for replace new mainboard. I think they want eat money, because they already have nvfash to fix. 230$ can buy new item from amazon. I hate asus and never buy any thing of asus. Very bad support.
So starting from beginning, while playing some music, my A700 reboot and hang up in infinite loop of Acer and Iconia Tab logos. As Vol+Power was not responding, I sent it back to Acer for repair and received it back yesterday after they replaced motherboard (and microphone!?).
Cool.
But no, because after a couple of hours of re-installing, it reboot and finished in the same Logos loop, just after selecting Airplane mode.
So my question, can I re-flash this A700 with a complete clean stock ROM, as I have only access to Fastboot mod?
To reflash with fastboot, you'd need an unlocked bootloader. I wouldn't risk that if I were you.
It looks likes a hardware issue. A ROM contains drivers. Drivers control the hardware. When going into airplane mode, the drivers shut down some of the hardware components, like WIFI and Bluetooth. If you'd have a modded ROM, I'd say there's some driver issue which causes the tablet to crash (weird that it's stuck on bootloop, though). Since that's not the case, I'd say there's something wrong with your hardware.
To apply factory settings, did you do the right moves?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861092
How did you enter fastboot mode?
Note that there's only a slight difference in going into fastboot or the factory reset mode. It's only a Vol + and -.
I was asking because I already flashed (in November) my 'previous' A700 with a stock ROM (because JB OTA update failed) without unlocking anything (but using Recovery).
You are probably right, it may be an hardware fault as it does exactly the same as first time and that Acer Support replaced complete motherboard. However it was looking at me very strange that I could get two hardware fault in the row.
I will give a try to the factory reset (I did not knew the move), thanks for the tips.
As far as I know it's not possible to flash a stock ROM with fastboot without unlocking the bootloader. Instead, you have to rename the stock ROM to update.zip and put it on your internal storage and then flash it by using recovery (also a button trick).
It could be that it's still the same hardware problem. Maybe Acer didn't know what was wrong and just replaced the motherboard. It's a massive repairing service center, so they're not going to search for everything.
Oh, an important question:
Did Acer, or did they not reinstall your tablet after they "repaired" it?
If not, then it might just be that. It's like your home pc. When you change your motherboard, you might need to reinstall the thing (or re-activate Windows, but that's not relevant ) to prevent errors.
Good luck and I hope you succeed
Ps. For what it's worth, you can also try to reflash your device with a beta ROM (it's beta because there isn't a stock ROM available which you can flash without having the bootloader unlocked). You can download it here. Now I'm not quite sure if you can update your tablet then, so it's coming out of beta. To flash it, do whatever I said with the renaming to update.zip (to transfer the ROM, you can use an sd card. It might just look for update.zip on the sdcard too). Please keep in mind that I'm not sure if you can update your tablet so it'll come out of beta. If you are going to try this, please post your results here

Considering the same issue happened under the same circumstances, we can pretty much rule out hardware failure. (they claim to have changed the mainboard.
If you look at the Acer 700 troubleshooting tree, they followed procedures. Or perhaps they "claimed" to have changed the system board, when in reality they just re-flashed the rom over the top so they can make more money by the hour. A common practice.
So the issue to me, seems to be either a faulty rom, or, faulty player. Were you using a player from the Play Store?
Also, would help to know which OS you were on. ICS or JB?
As with re-installing a rom, you should be able to get to the stock recovery. In which case, you could try
a. Re-installing the stock version rom again (renamed as update.zip)
b. Install an update.zip compatible with your region.
There are 2 types of boot loop.
1. Iconia.... this is a boot animation loop (stuck at boot animation)
2. Tab continually re-boots over and over. This is a boot-loop
3. Although not considered a boot-loop, stuck at the Acer logo.
So which do you have?
More than likely you have animation loop. Which means the OS is corrupted somehow. If I understand you correctly.
As with fastboot OEM unlock, you can do the following;
Flash a custom recovery
Flash a kernel (boot.img)
Flash a complete system image. This is not like flashing a Rom. It's an image file generated from another user who has a working 700.
As with unlocking your bootloader, well, it depends on if you wish to get things fixed. Or to return it yet again to Acer Repair. Can't tell you what to do Mate. But if it were me, I would take matters into my own hands after previous attempts.
MD
So I tried the following (yes, it is inverted relative to theory);
- Press [vol +] + [power]
- As soon as the tablet vibrates, let go of power and play several times [lock]
=> Fastboot mod, displaying "Bootloader vJB-653b3d3: Starting Fasboot USB download protocol"
- Press [vol-] + [power]
- As soon as the tablet vibrates, let go [power] and play [lock]
=> no effect
And as reminder, Recovery is not reachable.

If you're running Jelly Bean, the bootloader has changed. This requires a different way of going in the recovery mode:

As with unlocking your bootloader, well, it depends on if you wish to get things fixed. Or to return it yet again to Acer Repair. Can't tell you what to do Mate. But if it were me, I would take matters into my own hands after previous attempts.

OK, that helps a lot, thanks. I guess what I would like to do is to flash a system Image. Where can I get one?
So far, I have Android SDK installed and Acer drivers installed (which bring me a "ADB interface"-"Acer fastboot interface" device in Windows Device manager)
First off, an eternally grateful thanks to @shabbypenguin for compiling what seems to be the missing link to flashing a custom recovery. Please direct all thanks to him. Check out his profile for a donation link!

These are the steps I used for my Sprint Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and it worked for me.
It may not work for you.
I cannot provide support in case anything goes wrong.
There are virtually NO ROMS out that I'm aware of that are able to work with Sprint service. My tab is out of contract so I'm going to be working on loading wifi only ROMS.
Backup your shizzle. Expect to lose data and you won't be caught off guard.
MultiPart:
Install CWM
Compatable ROM information
Requirements:
Appropriate Samsung Drivers
ODIN
The shabbypenguin magical image. @shabbypenguin
ATT Espresso ChildOfTheHorm clockwork recovery
Root. Cydia Impactor works on this tablet to root it. Install SuperSU and Busybox off the market once it's rooted.
Optional (Recommended):
Stock Recovery Image..
Return to Stock Thread for a just in case scenario.
Steps:
Make sure drivers are installed and ADB can see your tab.
Reboot into download mode by either typing "adb reboot download" or by holding volume down & power when the device is off.
Open ODIN. Usually do this with administration privelages to negate any shennanigins.
Device should show up on the top left. Click AP / PDA and select "espresso10spr-cwm-test1.tar". Don't click start yet!
Get ready to hold volume up. Auto Reboot is selected by default. Don't click Start yet! When the flash is done the tablet will reboot. You want to go into the recovery on the first reboot or the flash may not take.
Get ready to hold volume +, press Start. When the tablet turns off, HOLD volume +. It will say booting recovery, act like it took, and turn off. This is the voodoo feature of the ShabbyPenguin file.
Turn the device back on, and reboot into download mode again. This time selecting the "cwm_recovery_espresso10att_childofthehorn.tar.md5" file. Same thing, get ready to hold the Volume + button when the tablet reboots.
Viola. Violin. Vegasaurious Rex. Clockwork should boot. At least it did for mine.
If anything goes wrong, there's a link in the optional list to revert your tablet back to stock. As well as the RECOVERY ONLY stock image you can flash with ODIN.
Some footnotes, sometimes with my tablet it doesn't like to turn on after a failed flash. A workaround for this is to hold the power for around 3-5 seconds, wait one second, and then hold Volume -. You should be presented with an option to go to download mode or restart the tablet. Select restart the tablet to get it working again.

YES!!!!
Flashing the recovery worked for me. I can't wait to hear from you as to what custom roms are ok to flash.
Thanks a bunch!
Anybody find any ROMS yet?
I so hoping someone has made some progress with this.
Thanks to all those who have gotten us this far!

It's beena slow process. All the ROMs I have tried don't really do well. Wifi not working, that kind of thing. I was waiting to see if more roms came out to try. I'll be checking again in the next few days.

I just inherited one of these suckers and would love to see upgraded past Jelly Bean. What ROMS did you have success flashing? I'm not seeing much out there about flashing this device besides what is linked to this post, and no specifics were ever mentioned, just that it might be possible with some serious bugs. Can you point me in the right direction?

Pro tip: Don't bumb old threads like this. You might not even have similar problems. Instead create a new thread regdaring your issue.
Now, post your tablet info HERE:
Root staus?
Can you boot in recovery? If yes what recovery do you have?
Tablet model
Android version
What happened
What have tried to fix it

Root Status = ROOTED
I cannot boot into recovery mode (but when i try i get this, look in pic 2&3)
Tablet Type = HKC (NOT HTC) p776a
ANDROID Version I think (98% shure) is 4.1.1 beta JB
What happened = A few years ago 2013 i think a got this tablet then i learned about rooting, roms, and such so i spent the next year or two trying to root the tablet. I finally got it rooted with a chinese root program and all was well (i don't remember the name of the program) then there was a update for su and i pressed the twrp/cwm mode on accident (I think I was talking to someone at the time) and now it does what is shown in the image 1 it is on some boot loop. When I try to access the hboot menu it does what is shown in these images 2&3. Also my tablet has a MicroSD card slot and the battery can not be taken out. the regular bootloop picture is image file 1 that is what it looks like when it does its continuous bootloop and P.S. the tablet turns off and on automatically during the bootloop. To try and fix it i have let it do its bootloop for hours on end turn it on and off tried looking for a compatible rom (to no avail) and let the battery completely die that is about it.

Okay. Just a few more questions.
Does your tablet boot into recovery (picture 1) even if you try to boot normally? (fastboot maybe)
Can you boot into anything else other than recovery? (try different button combinations)
Does ADB recognise your tablet when it's in recovery mode? (if you don't know about this, just post your computer OS and if you have ADB/Fastboot drivers installed on your PC)
If the anwser the the first question is no:
Does ADB recognise the device while it's in the bootloop.

sorry, i forgot to clarify the hboot. it pops up the "words" or whatever then automatically reboots there is no way to select options or keep the device on so i cant use fastboot unless there is a way i dont know of. P.S. the tablet restarts automatically so it is on for like 25 maybe 30 seconds then shuts off then turns back on and repeats till the battery is dead. My thought originally to fix it was to get a rom put it on the sdcard and see if that works but the manufacture does not supply the rom for my model only the p771a. and the only physical buttons are the home, power, the pinhole reset button, the volume and such buttons are virtual on the screen when it is fully on. And picture 1 i dont fully know what that screen symbol is the hboot one is similar but not that but yes it does but to picture 1 nomadder what i do even if i try to get to hboot menu. Sorry if this is a "little" scattered having explaining it. If it would help i can make a video and rar it and upload it here.

1. Download fixcache.bat.zip on your computer. Extract cachefix.bat from the file.
2. Run it. It should say just "Waiting for device..."
3. Now reset your tablet with the reset button and QUICKLY plug it into the computer and wait a few minutes.
Now try to get to that text in picture 1 and tell me what happends.
Also post the text you see on the computer from the file I sent you.

Umm, you said there is a reset button on the tablet so pressing that would probably reset it.
The error you are getting is because adb is not installed on your PC. Use this simple adb installer to instal adb. When installing just press yes to everything. MAKE SURE THE PHONE IS PLUGGED IN THE COMPUTER WHILE INSTALLING AND THAT IT'S ON!
Now run the file again.
If you want you can add me on Skype: janekmuric

If you want to know what is happening:
You are in what's called a recovery bootloop. It's when you can't get out of the recovery. What is happening in this case is that Superuser app tried to install it's binaries via recovery. Because some people don't know how to install binaries manually, the app puts a file on the cache partition so the recovery automaticly installs the zip upon booting. Now, this would be good so you don't mess up your device, but the zip file it's trying to install is faulty so it just breaks the device.
My attept at fixing this is to delete the /cache/recovery folder so it doesn't just install the file, and instead boots into a working recovery.

30 seconds is more than enough. Especally with an automated script like the one I sent you.
The first thing we have to do to fix your tablet is to establish a working ADB connection. Use the ADB installer i sent you. And look up on how to install Google USB driver for ADB.
