Well before u for thru the trouble of directing me...... it is ics OK I got it during Dec it was on v10f OK I updated before I knew bout rooting I think I found 10f I was thinking I could flash the kdz... I'm new just saying what I've read.... the v18 rooting method reboots my phone but no root or super user just says mounted permissions denied (are you root?) Bin4ry says its not supported then I read... I didn't talk to him... OK but v10f is the version of the LG p870 or LG escape ... I used the 1.2 download mode just Like ppl who have my phone did I went by everything its just the 10i and it was a hard time finding the old firmware its downloading now... what do u think or is that a dif. Method

Hmm.... man its the only file I found for the phone.... I hope its right... I really want siaxix controller.... and to b able to use my phone ad a mouse and keyboard for my ps3 Wichita I need a root to do.... I'm so close I feel like to doing it.... The root scripts run on my phone but the last update fixed the vunarability so I am hoping by flashing down if all goes well I won't have the "mounted: permissions denied (are you root?)" Its the only error everything pushs Im guessing to a temp file when it says moving file to there places is when I get the mounted thing

I had root custom cwm recovery had JB ROM installed and flashed solid ice 2.0 and booted up. Once in tried installing ROM toolbox and couldn't get root access. I still have custom recovery and super user but I have no root access. I did searches and followed all instructions but couldn't find anything on my current situation. I've never flashed a ROM and lost root. I'm on sprint but have my girlfriends s3 rooted on Verizon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I lost root on my galaxy nexus, I just restored a nandroid backup and I was back in business. That should work assuming you have a previous backup.
Try opening SuperUser and updating your binaries.

In super user store to the left. You should see some green and possibly Red writing. Touch there and you now have the iron to update binaries.

yes you do...open super user, slide your screen to the left, under the info tab look down and tap update binary...so easy a
caveman can do it!
Haha, not on this version Just says it's out of date. I think there's some kind of a flashable zip to update right now.

Yes it was the flashable zip that kintwofan was so cool as to post. That's what enabled me to update binaries on the version I'm on. Great idea, that's why I wanted reply with the success but I should have clarified

More information. What ROM, do you have a custom recovery? If you have stock recovery then the ota def updated itself. If your stock rooted then it will do that without asking

Just grabbed this cheap from menards. Comes pre-rooted would love to to install a custom rom too.

So flash at your own risk obviously and you have to follow the same procedure as polaroid directs to when you first connect the tablet... The link will directly DL this .IMG file... Yep, works fine, just whatever you do, do not wipe cache/dalvik cache in recovery or any other way at all. Not sure why but doing so soft bricks...

For some reason my blaze doesn't let me register T-Mobile network,,I thought maybe my phone was blacklisted but I checked my ime on a website that tells you if your phone is blacklisted and my ime checked out..supposedly my phone isn't blacklisted..so im totally clueless as to why it won't register,,any help please???

now, when you say it doesn't let you register on the T-Mobile network, what do you mean? No bars? What rom, kernel, and radio are you using?
I would ask t-mobile if it was blacklisted not some random website if your worried about that and did you try a different sim card?

Im running cm10 latest nightly..I've tried all the available radios...talked to tmo and they said asurion could have blacklisted it...if thats so,is there any way around it..I'm using lightning zap kernel..I'm having problems with network registration but the phone us able to detect the face that my calls are being forwarded..

Well, this has happened to me before and a data/system/cache/dalvik format and then a reflash of CM 10 fixed the problem (IDK why but it did) Assuming you've already tried that I would flash back to a Samsung Official GB or ICS ROM and see if it works then.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNING TO STOCK SAMSUNG-SGH-T769 OFFICIAL FIRMWARE
So first register at www.sammobile.com, then search SGH-T769 under firmware and download the August 2012 ICS or The Feb 2013 ICS Firmware, wait for the download to finish (took me 30 minutes) then extract which ever firmware zip you downloaded then using Odin click on PDA and select the .md5 file which is located in the extracted ICS Firmware Folder that you've downloaded from sammobile.com
Download the PIT file here

Click on PIT in Odin and then select the one downloaded from the link above
then make sure re-partition isn't checked and start the flashing process after it is done flashing and reboots you'll have stock ics to root it simply follow the instructions over at the root ics stock thread found here

This will flash a custom recovery and once the recovery is flashed using Odin reboot into recovery and flash the superuser.zip then you'll have Rooted Stock ICS Firmware
*BOOT LOOP MIGHT OCCUR*
To fix boot looping after flashing stock ICS just boot into stock recovery and wipe data and cache then reboot or on custom recover wipe cache and dalvik cache reboot and you're good to go.

Yeah ive read about it but its the only method which works for me everytime once got it bricked though, was lucky to get back to life
This time also got a bootloop but after removing the battery and putting it back made it work

flash oldest custom rom that you find and update after with LG Suport Tool to stock 2.2.2 , that will make your phone stock withaout custom recovery or anything else, download from LG site that tool, and 2.2 or 2.2.1 roms you can find in development, something really old
or downgrade to old bb and upgrade with same LG Suport Tool
