Pro Clip Car Dock *Now Available* - Nexus 4 Accessories

just got the email notification that the Pro Clip car dock is now in stock and available. i just purchased mine to replace my GS2 dock.
http://www.proclipusa.com/default.a...e_holder=false&p_pageid=1&dtype=&leftorright=

So......... if you have the OEM bumper, you have to buy the charging clip AND the medium universal adjustable dock ??!

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm ordering one today. I already have the car specific part from my previous phone.
Items on the manufacturer's site: http://www.brodit.se/productList.html?brand=LG&model=Nexus+4&pn=prod

I have one such DS and it is grand, smaller footprint than the HTC masterpiece.
what about this one ?
Hi,
I saw this on ebay : "USB Dock Charger + Battery for HTC P3700 Touch Diamond" sold by ahkin2006 (Hong Kong).
It looks like a dock where you can load your extra battery or your diamond... sounds great...
Has anyone tested this ?
thx
Vinz
Just wonder USB cradle for Touch Pro might charge the extended battery (1340 mAh) of Touch Diamond, but the device might a bit slimmer to sit into the cradle. Perhaps to put some cushion on the cradle (back side of the slot) might fit the Diamond stands in the slot for synchronizing and charging. Since Diamond and Touch Pro are almost the same in size only the thickness is different. The extended battery of Diamond is the default battery comes with Touch Pro.
bought this one
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370077755580
cheap and nice. Came with scratch but not visible cause on the back and black.
The ones off eBay from HK are great...I got two - one for home and work
Mind you, will only fit the standard phone & back cover. Extended cover for larger battery is a no fit!!
Is there any docking station that actually holds the Diamond also with the 1340 mAmp battery and - slightly larger - cover ?
Thanks in advance.

What accessories did you guys buy with your Fascinate?

I bought the desktop cradle/dock and the black holster. I'm tempted to go without an actual case because I don't want to have to bother with the case every time I want to dock the phone. I get to pick my Fascinate up from Best Buy in t-minus 8 hours!
Cradle: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&archetypeId=12281
Holster: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&archetypeId=12284&page=1
I ordered the desktop charging cradle, and the windshield mount. Both look very cool.
I ordered the windshield mount kit. It is pretty nice after I figured out that the charge port moves to make it easier to mount the phone in it. The only problem so far is that when I ordered it online it stated it included the car charger, but when I received it earlier there was no charger so I guess I will be calling customer service when I get home. Not sure if I will use the anti-glare protectors either because they only cover the actual screen and not the entire face of the phone.
Where did you see that it came w/ a car charger? All I see is this:
"Samsung i500 Vehicle Mount transforms your device into a multifunctional navigation tool! Easily and safely gain access to maps, voice search, your contacts and more with a single touch! This custom fitted mount includes a built-in power port for convenient in-vehicle charging! "
No picture of a charger either. For $40, you'd think they'd give you a charger along w/ the piece of plastic.
I picked up the desktop cradle and screen protectors. i got them both for $34.00 they had a sale for 20% at my verizon. Love the dock!!
I bought these accessories
Samsung desktop cradle
pros:
-starts desktop cradle automatically
cons:
-phone not detected when connected to computers usb
Samsung spare battery charger
pros:
-can charge spare battery and phone at same time
-can be used as a stand for phone
cons:
-phone not detected when connected to computers usb
Samsung windshield mount
Waiting for delivery. I hope it can be used on the dash.
Phantom skinz full phone protection matte finish
Waiting for delivery
I'm not including cons about the desktop cradle in this post and they're are a few of them

The spare battery charger (the one Verizon sells) comes with a second battery, right? I thought I saw it for $29.99
Don't think I need it but I may pick it up next week.
Yes it includes another battery. BTW, the spare battery charger does not have a plug.

If anyone knows of an extended battery that is the same size as the stock battery, please post where you have found it. I would love to get one that doesn't add a bulge to my phone.
i got the clear plastic case and have ordered both the Realook Screen Protector (from Korea) and one of them InvisibleShield-type protectors for the back
I got a car charger, second wall charger and usb only cable bundled together at amazon
Fascinate Accessories
Given that my Fascinate is an upgrade from my old Moto Droid I decided not to buy the dock\car mount again. (I sold that equipment with the Droid). Instead I found a hard(ish) shell case that the VZW store carried, added just enough thickness to the phone to no longer feel like i was gonna destroy it. The Droid was a tank so the Fascinate felt a bit thin to me. The case is nice though leaves everything super accessible and has a kickstand built into the back of it so at night, i just pop that out and tap the dock icon. Sure i have to start the Dock and Car mode manually but it's not like it takes long.
I am tinkering with a few different universal car mounts till I find one i like.
I purchased the extended battery - I'm not much of a case guy so I didn't want to buy one... I came from a touch pro2 so I absolutely love the extended battery's added weight and thickness. It also has a ridge, even if it makes it look "pregnant". Ridge makes it feel better in my hand and also makes sure that the lens of the camera will not be scratched (as much).

Looking for a car dock solution that doesn't require me taking my holster skin off.

I use the Verizon stock rubberized holster case. It has two parts. One is a holster that clips on your belt, and the second part is a rubberized "back" that clips onto the back of the phone. This makes it impossible to fit in the Samsung Car Dock without having to take this back off every time I get into the car, which is a PITA.
Has anyone found a solution for a Car Dock and Belt Clip that isn't a PITA? I'd settle for just a universal cell phone mount that would hold my Fascinate in a landscape orientation and then just manually plug in my good ol' car charger.
I picked up this one, its quite good in my opinion.

I'm in a similar situation. Until Seidio releases their no skin holster, I'll be using this in my car: http://www.proclipusa.com/brodit-de...ces-with-or-without-a-skin-875214A-13978.aspx. It's pricy for your first phone, but I've used that exact holster and the same mount for 3+ years (initially cost me $70). Well worth the investment in my opinion. Proclip is also releasing a custom holster for the Fascinate just like they have for the Vibrant and Captivate. (see my e-mail below). Also, I know you want something that can go landscape. This holster can definitely go landscape, you just have to make sure you adjust the holster to be a really snug fit and it'll work no problem (the holster can swivel 360 degrees around).
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. The new holders for the Fascinate will be available in approx 4 weeks. You will be notified by email as soon as we have them in stock.
Best Regards,

I received the above e-mail on September 20th, so I'd imagine they should be ready soon!
Edit: Forgot to mention... What makes this setup so great is that you never have to buy a new mount, you can just buy a new holster for whatever phone/device you buy next. The mount is custom made for your specific car. If you can't tell, I love proclip's products lol. I bought a setup for my wife's iPhone as soon as I realized how convenient and safe it is (it mounts right up by the steering wheel in her '07 civic).

Dock Options

What docks do you know of that would work with the Skyrocket?
Coming over from the Blackberry world I am a little disappointed to find uneven OEM built drop in docks that don't require you to plug in to charge...There seems to be one for the stock GS2 but not the Skyrocket.
XDA'r CZ Eddie is using the Infuse Vehicle Mount for this end
Phone stands are not docks per se rather than just something to hold up the device while charging bedside or on your desk. I ordered this from eBay and intend to put some kind of padding in part that holds the phone so as not to scratch it. Was also thinking this leather and suede business card holder from Royce would be an option.
Here are some other dock options I have found
Seidio - site seems to be down for maintenance right now but they have a dock listed underneath the Skyrocket accessories page
iDapt
Anker - can't find the manufacturer's site but they have a bunch listed on Amazon

Wireless charging cover

Hi,
I'm in intrested in buying the wireless charging cover for the s5 but I don't now if it is worth it.
If someone had it could he give me some feedback? Thanks
There are severalI different charging covers @ the market.
I own the S charger cover EP-CG900IWE by Samsung and I don't want to miss it
What's wrong with just plugging it in?
doing wireless gives you flexibility , just put it on tap of wireless charging pad and will charge the phone
Bought mine maybe 6 months ago, it's an S-view wireless back cover combination from Samsung. I have to say it's great having this, I have 2 charging pads, one at the office and one at home; I just place my phone to the pad when I'm not using it and doing work, and at home I place it on the pad before going to bed so I don't have to worry about battery level anymore.
The only thing you should check out is it's losses(power), with 2 Amps of input, you might only get 700-1000 mA of output so charging will take twice as much time as it would if you use the stock charger that came with the phone.

I wish I could find one for under $100... sigh
I'm not allowed to post links , otherwise - is your google not working
~ 23 €
From where? Only one ive found that is genuine is on amazon for 100
I don't really want the s view case...
I use genuine Samsung wireless charging back cover , from Amazon UK £28 with a Cheotech 3 coil charging pad, from Amazon UK £19
Anyone managed to find black cover with Qi? There are some on eBay from USA, but with sick prices (100$ and more). There is one on Amazon UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Charger-Cover-Galaxy-S5/dp/B00IN9HZ0S/ref=sr_1_10 but "Temporarily out of stock". I've even talked with Samsung customer service in Poland and they said they don't have it.
I have this chinese Qi coil that goes under back cover, but it's rubbish. It lifts the cover a bit, making gap around LEDs and ruining water resistance.

I've got the same problem mate. I'm about ready to accept that fact that if I want Qi charging with good looks I'll have to buy an S-View cover
I've talked with support on Amazon UK. They told me it's really "temporarily" and if I buy it, they'll have it in few days. I'll try. If not - probably S-View + carpet knife to remove the front.
This may sound stupid but Ikea sells them, but only in white $15. I know sounds crazy right!
I've had the wireless charging cover + pad (not s-view version) and i say that i really enjoy the use of it -- very convenient.
Got a pad in the office, the bedroom and in the car!
Charges slower than cable obviously and the phone does warm up quite a bit, thankfully it will pause the charging if it gets too hot so no biggie on that

Do yourself a favour and do not buy those.
They don't fit properly and I'm sure they don't even properly seal the back.
Tried one and immediately gave it back.
It was incredibly difficult for me to find one of those back covers as well (germany), but after days of searching trough various vendors that are supposed to are samsung resellers, I finally found an original S-charger cover for my white S5 on amazon for 30€.
Take a look:
Telefonide tarvikud | Maxfield - Samsung - PowerNeed - Grateq - Omega - Ansmann - Olloclip - Caterpillar - KSIX - Sony - Photopoint
I use an Easychee qi-Pad. Lifts the backcover a very very little bit.
In combination with an easychee t300 the best thing for my s5 i ever had.
Perfect charging through my silikon flip case.
For the easychee t300 (about 40$) theres a special tip.
I bought it via amazon. Its name is KOS-T30PC Charging Pad.
Its 100% the same pad. Cost 15$ via amazon.
Look its this one
Amazon US and Amazon UK now have them listed and "temporarily out of stock". I "bought" one on each site. If I ever receive one, I will cancel the other. Or accept it and sell it on eBay.
The UK one was 23 pounds. The one on Amazon US was only USD$22! And "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

We'll see...!

For you that use the S-View cover, doesn't that front flap get super annoying? Don't you have to open it and fold it back every time you use the phone for anything, including talking on it?
That thing looks so annoying that for now I am just sticking with plugging a cable in whenever I need a charge - even though I already have Qi charging pads everywhere.
I'm using oem qi cover. It works perfectly and keeps the phone waterproof. Can't remember how much I paid for it but not more than $50.
Absolutely must have in the car. I'm using a QI charging car mount. For home - not that important but still very nice.
