If the kernel supports overclock, download setcpu from the market and use it to set the CPU's min and Max speeds you want. If your kernel doesn't support overclock you will need to install a oc/uv kernel that is compatible with your ROM..
Good luck..

Most kernels support uv (what use is ov? ), though people haven't experimented with it...
What do you plan to do?

Defiantely, they are very different...
Underclock is just running your processor at lower clock speed (than the one specified by Samsung's kernel) but at the voltage specified by Samsung...
There isn't much scope for underclock in fit, underclocking is useful on 1ghz+
Undervolt is running at normal or higher clock speeds (I.e. normal and oc usage), but at a lesser voltage than the value specified by Samsung...
Oc and uv tend to go hand in hand...keep performance high, and negating battery performance hit...
That's why I asked what's the purpose of over-volting
Why waste more battery?

Hey dude i am talking about GPU not the CPU !
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
If you have read changelog of sweetnsour's kernel, it states that "we can take punishment of higher gpu clock" or something like that.
Not sure if it means gpu overclocking.
Adreno GPU over clocks itself as you over clock the CPU
Only adreno 220 and up can over clock

Overclock kernel cm10.1?

I see in the Dev forum cm10.2 oc kernel
I installed cm10.1 from this section but am yet to figure out if there is any over clocking. Or is it stuck at an over clocked state? Or at all?
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
In settings, scroll down to performance. Goto cpu, and set Max to 1400 or 1600mhz
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I guess it's not in the cm10.1 i downloaded
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
You could flash 10.2, I know that has an oc setting in settings
