Hi guys,
Hate to be such a wanker, but I'm looking for help with what should be an easy procedure. I've tried looking through the forum for help, but the advice I find seems a little over my head.
When I got my Note 10.1, I rooted and installed cyanogenmod. I didn't really understand what I was doing, but closely followed instructions and everything worked out alright. I now want to revert to stock, but am confused on how to do that. Do I have to download the official file, or do I recover it on the system (I'm in Canada). Do I need to back up my files?
Any online tutorial you can point me to would be great.

No rooting is necessary beforehand. Installing any of the custom firmwares will give you root, the android market, etc. I've only personally used TnT Lite, which I can confirm has this stuff (including live wallpapers).
no root just load rom are u 100% sure

Yes. I loaded clockworkmod and then tnt-lite without rooting first. After tnt was loaded I was rooted then.

Start with this thread. It really is the 'super-thread' for all things G-Tab. I did not want to flash a modified ROM yet, but wanted to root to fix the market and to use Titanium to side load some favorite apps from my Acer Liquid Phone. Worked like a charm and changed my G-Tab from return fodder to a keeper.
Thank you for the replies . But how do I do that ? I've tried doing the "super threat " and I gave up because I didn't understand the instructions . :/ I got stuck ..
I really need specific step by step on how to do it.
Can someone please help ? I would really appreciate some help
Okay please forgive me in advance for this post. I am not sure if I am posting it in the right place or not. I am new to this whole forum thing...other than reading them...great help by the way!
Anyways, I have the Samsung Galaxy S 4G. I rooted it earlier so I could remove annoying preinstalled apps. And I did the Fota fix. I am really interested in updating to Gingerbread, but I am confused regarding how. Is there anywhere on here that has step by step directions?? Are the leaks any good? Is there another rom that would be better? And if there is how do i go about putting the Rom on my phone.
Like I said, I know how to root, but my knowledge stops there. lol So sorry to be an annoyance with all the questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello all,
In advance i just want to say sorry if im missing a thred that can already help me and if i am a link would be great,
I am in the uk, this is the current spec of my phone...
Android version

software version
V10d-APR-27-2011
If any more info is needed then i will be happy to post it
OK, i am on the 3 network and have sent an email to LG regarding updating to 2.3 and they say that it is only available in the UK on the T-mobile network, I want to no if i can manually update to 2.3 that is compatible with the UK and my network. If not is there anyway to unlock my phone to make it compatible?
I have already rooted my phone using Gingerbreak
If i can update is there anywhere where i can get download links and a step by step guide that will work on my phone? i have been through many posts that explain things but i still am not to sure whether they will work with my phone, and if the ROM will work with my phone.
If i could get some advice or if someone could point me in the right direction of a post that will help me i would be most grateful!
Again i'm sorry if i am completely missing the obvious, i'm just a n00b in the process of learning.
Ive been stuck at the same point in the process for months

Just follow the instructions in the second link and then get back to the rom flashing. You'll have to judge for yourself (I wouldn't know).

Yes, you do have to do it. The use of the s1tool is a part of the of the same process, so just follow it step by step. The kernel installation is if you are planning to stay of the stock ROM. Since you're going to flash a new ROM, it isn't really necessary.

Hey,
I recently rooted my note 2 via some YouTube link.. Now for some reason I am still getting over the air updates and my recovery mode always goes into the Samsung recovery (only options are wipe data and some others.. The screen is black with a green android mascot )
However all the root apps are working.. So what do I do£
Do I install the update which has come over the airborne not?
Thanks for the help..
You should send us a link to the youtube link and you should get a rom off XDA, it works better and you get more support.
Hope it helps
What next

Have you even gone to the thread for your device and read there? That should be the first thing you do before you do anything on your phone. Following some youtube video then coming here for help is not very considerate. Also you provided no information.
Luckily for you. You have root access but you haven't installed a custom recovery yet. You need to do that next. Then install the rom of your choice. Look in the development section for your device and read the stickies. Good luck.

Dude. I just told you what to do. It sounds like you are already rooted so now you flash custom recovery and from there flash the rom of your choice.
