CM10 questions

I'm thinking about installing CM10, but I have a couple of quick questions:
Does the latest build still have over clocking leading to "burnt NANDs"?
Which gapps zip do I need to install? Super stripped? (What if I install mounts2SD, can I get full gapps then?)
Have the force closes in the camera been fixed now?
Will mounts2SD work with CM10, allowing me to install as many apps as I want? And has anyone tried installing it with the Play Store app?

How are you doing??
1. If you Flash with latest kernel ,which is not overclocked, it'll not probably produce burnt nand.
2.super stripped only
3. Full gapps is a total junk ~ they go to /system ~you can symlink them to app ~system in mount2SD. Big work
4. Camera AFAIK is totally unstable ~at least for me.. some say it's better etc. As always third party cams work fine (you can read my signature link to know more)
5. Ya.. it'll work. Mount2SD will let you install as many as you want as per size of SD ext ~however kernel 3 has problems mounting SD ext ~some partition types ~but once it works, it'll work for ever until you change recovery or change partitions
6. I am using the play store version. Working fine for me. I would've recommended play version for your stock Rom as well, if they released mount2SD @ that time

u cn use the signed GAPSS, if you prefer....
You unzip the Stripped version, and the Signed GAPPS....
Copy everything from the SIGNED GAAPS that are ALREADY present in Stripped version... rest throw in trash..
RE-ZIP.... you got a SIGNED STRIPPED GAPPS...

USE the STRIPPED VERSION OF GAPPS!
INSTEAD of m2sd,use INT2EXT!! IT manages your data more efficiently!!
AND THE LATES cm10 beta#6 (oc 800Mhz) doesn't burn your NAND!! I TOO AM USING IT!!

First try CyanogenMod. I need some help here

Hi. Noob on Forum.
I decided to Install CyanogenMod on my Xoom MZ601 model.
Bootloader unlocked, cwm installed, Cyanogenmod also installed without problem.
I use the last NIGHTLY-BUILD ---> cm-10.1-20130410-NIGHTLY-everest.
Now the problem. I tried to install gapps.
I downloaded the latest gapps for jelly bean 4.2.2 ----> gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip from goo.im/gapps/ (cannot write the complete url on the second post)
Install zip from sdcard etc using cwm. And everything seems to be perfect.
Except one. None google app is not installed. Or at least not shown nowhere on my apps.
Any idea what's wrong? How to fix that? I like jelly bean but I need gtalk, youtube, play store, google maps etc.

I have the same problem as well. It's due to the amount of space partitioned for system apps. I can't figure out how to change that yet, but a temporary work around...flash the app store by itself

[Q] how would i get OpenPdroid Manager working on a YONIP custom ROM 1.19?

Hello XDA developers.:victory:
I have a YONIP custom ROM 1.19(Android ICS 4.0.4) Installed on MYPHONE A898 using ClockWorkMod, i`ve tried to patch the ROM with Pdroid, OpenPdroid and Pdroid2.0 with no success, i tried all 3 Autopatchers, wouldnt work, then manually, only OpenPdroid would patch successfully (in the process i messed up my PC Windows path and had to revert to a backup image), but all versions of the OpenPdroid Manager have parsing errors when trying to install on my phone, i`ve tried Pdroid2.0 Manager but that crashes on opening at the (While Caching Applications) window box, and the first Pdroid Manager gives a (Not Supported On This Android) message, i uninstalled each app before installing another version, and even Re-Installed the OS 3 times and wiped data to test each app, absolutely no success.
I also tried these on the LEWA OS V2 4.1.2 Custom ROM, same problems. Lewa Os is buggy though, i cant find any other ROMs to try on, but i doubt they would work too.
My Question is how would i go about getting one of these versions of Pdroid working on MYPHONE A898 with a YONIP custom ROM 1.19?
Here are the full names of the ROMs i`ve mentioned, i tried to put the links but it would`nt let me.
MyPhone A898 v1.19 YONIP Custom ROM by Rymoj (YONIP_MPA898_for_V1.19_V1.zip)
LEWA OS V2 Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Custom ROM for A898 (LewaOS_130308_JB4.1.2.zip)
I don`t like the idea of software developers and google being able to snoop around my phone, stealing either personal information, contact lists, txt messeges, tracking my whereabouts, tracking how i use my phone, what numbers i dial, such and such, just because i want to use there software, i feel violated.
Im currently using LBE Security at the moment but i heard that its not that reliable. and occasionally causes programs to crash.
I will thank you in advance, for any and all help you can give me:fingers-crossed:, but i doubt my question will be answered:crying:.

i think that you have to have 4.2+ android in order to work :/ i tried my self on viperS 3.1.3 but fc even i did this step
In order for Google Now/Google Seach to work properly you MUST copy libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so to /system/lib, replacing the original when asked.
But nothing :/

Hi there, I don't think your file is correct because nothing happens after flash. I am sure I've d/l the full file correctly.

i have flashed the file over cm11 armv6 and its working did you wipe?

Yes, I do wipe and make a clean flash from scratch. My phone is HTC one X with CM11 ROM.

but i say no need for wipe

open your app drawer if you found the mentioned apps that means installed successfuly

Sorry, maybe I didn't make it clear. what I was doing is fully wipe and flash CM11 ROM for HTC one X from scratch, and afte rall my google apps abd data is download back to normal from server, and then I flash your mod WITHOUT WIPE. But I don't see any app or other mod inside the system after reboot. I check it with root explorer. So I think I do follow your step, right ? Do you ever try to clean-wipe flash from scratch and then flash your mod ?

i checked it again and it works without aby problems on a clean install

Check if you had system partition mounted when you were installing the package, if there weren't any files installed thetn this might be the problem.

Wowza...just beathed alot of extra life into my ZTE Awe. Lolipop launcher and quickboot dont work on my device, but i can live without them. Well done

Quick boot mod only works on official cm11 builds and some other builds like armv6 build but the quick but apk works on any android device

The app just force closes whenever I try to open it. We at the Awe forums on androidforums are running an unofficial build, so it makes sense to me the mod wouldnt work but the app is not as well. Again, I can do without. Everything else, minus the launcher, appears to be working.
Though I can't find any difference when running the "boost" command. What is it supposed to do exactly?

Well again I didn't notice much of a difference with or without running it. Real Racing 3, GTA San Andreas and Modern Combat 4/5 run significantly better than before the mod. I was able to even record some decent game plays on each with Rec Screen Recorder with only about a 10fps drop and minor lag, something I struggled to do initially. All in all, I'll confirm this works and have already spread the word to my fellow Awe users.
