Ipega works (Bluetooth clipon joy pad) - Nexus 4 Accessories

Just got this delivered and managed to get to work in neogeo emu. Has different modes
Native, keyboard, mouse touchscreen control and icade which is for apple devices but noticed bluezime on play store supports icade so another option if i run into compatibility problems.
SG deadzone seems to not set keys properly for me i thought one of sticks is not centre but tried on other input settings like in emus and i can set fine there.

Good to know. I had been wondering about how it works since people seem to be unable to get it tow work on 4.2 (there is a thread on this controller in the general accessories section of the forum). I'm a little disappointed that SG Deadzone isn't mapped correctly though. Is there anyway to map the keys via the game settings?

Well it seems a bit iffy if you change the mode but i found that you have to unpair connection then repair and turn pad on and back on. Should work in new mode then.
Bluezime i couldn't figure out how to use icade though.
dead zone may be just being glitchy as it said wasn't responding after trying to set pad. Thought it was setting fine until fifth option said joystick axis then any other did. Thought stick was maybe issue but only happened on that so...
Ps3 pad proberly better but not as portable

so i try to set keys again on deadzone. as soon as i click either dpad or left stick i get y axis -7 which overwrites any button i click to change. I tested Mario in n64oid and was able to set anolog stick as anolog and dpad as dpad. No right stick though lol
Managed to set keys on dead zone using dpad as movement. I presume left stick deadzone is iffy on mine and due to setting on game. Right stick works for aim. Which the item and weapons were 1 button not 3 as i can only pick 2 of each

been messing with apps for more compatibility.
i would recommend gamekeyboard. go thru setup and then select quick settings pick bt controller > joystick. Scroll down settings and uncheck use blueime service for Bluetooth. You wanna pair device normally to gamepad mode " x and home".
Then go to hard key mapping. The sticks and dpad are set fine you need to press a scroll down set to gamepad a. So for GTA i just set a b x y buttons and l2 r2 on trigger.
Hope this helps.

Actually after a week the rubber clips fell off. I wouldn't recommend this now to anyone. Just get a sixaxis

I bought one of these today on eBay for £15. Some people in the other thread have said quite a lot of games (including Shadowgun) work fine natively. It's worth a try at £15 anyway, no big deal if it's rubbish

Yeah may work fine for you I had to set movement to dpad though but worked fine. Think my left stick not dead center or maybe you wilk have same prob. Right stick worked fine and there not bad little nubs.
I would recommend make sure you max out the grip as it has a heavy spring and only just fits. That's why my rubber stick grips fell off I was dragging thru grip. Hold top bit so it doesn't clamp. So don't clip lol

Have you tried Dead Trigger with it?

yeah read previous post. i could not set left stick so used dpad for movement.
Stick works fine in other games
For GTA vc use gamekeyboard app and remap a b x y sect sticks work anyway in gta

Finally got mine, Shadowgun and Dead Trigger work fine. In GTA I can run around using the sticks but can't do anything else, I'll have to try with Game Keyboard

Whenever I connect it to my n4 it breaks WiFi. 3g will work but I have to turn off WiFi or I get no internet.

[Q] JellyBam 3.0.0 - How do I use my wired Xbox 360 Controller with my phone?

Using rohan.kernel b6 with OTG, and nothing really happens when I plug the 360 controller in. The xbox button ring blinks as expected, but my phone doesn't seem to detect it. No game detects it, and I cannot move around the UI with it.
Edit: OTG is definitely working, keyboards and USB sticks work perfectly fine with the phone.
bump.
Did you find an answer? Is this kernel specific not rom specific, I heard once that it was dependant on both but gave up. I would like to get it now vice city is availiable.

I had the same quesrion which I posted in the apps section about a week ago. Someone pointed me to Droid.emu on Play Store. However, I am using a factory PS3 controller. I'm running Viper 2.4.1 w/ElementalX kernel. After you map the buttons it works flawless. This is on emulators of course.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for your advice. I think the ps3 is Bluetooth which is a little different. The 360 controller USB and some games such as the GTA ones support it natively. However I can not get any response from it in jellybam with siyah kernel.

Gaming on theTronsmart T428 (or any Android TV Stick)

Hi Guys,
I have been messing with the T428 as an alternative to my Apple TV 2 (ATV2 is Rubbish) I have bought an Air Mouse (works great out of the box)
However I have a few questions:
I tried setting up some games:
Stupid Zombies (cannot click play / start)
Angry birds (cannot click play / start)
Asphalt (cannot click play / start)
My air mouse should support Gyro functions, and I thought the T428 played the games too...
anyone having similar issues with their Android TV devices?
Thanks
ace
same in shadowgun i believe game loads but you cannot click start,.

Nope sorry, but still looking into it
if you have both rkremote and droidmote server installed they will not play nice with each other and change how certain imputs are registered by the sistem, like click become enter button in some apps so they wont work.
maybe the same happens with sixaxis controller app

Dead trigger and sixaxis

Hey guys,
I have been looking around the forums and on Google and cannot find the answer so hopefully someone here has an easy fix.
So I got sixaxis working on my tf700 fine even playing dead trigger it is working except 1 little part. The main screen of the game where its like a birdseye view of a city where you can choose different levels and shops and stuff to go to. The ps3 controller will not work on the screen, it only works in the actual game when your running around shooting zombies.
Sorry if this sounds confusing but I tried to explain it so people know what screen I am talking about.
Thank You

I noticed the same thing because I will use an HDMI cable to play it on my TV like a console game. But I have to go to the tablet to navigate the menu. The best idea is use a wireless mouse or Bluetooth mouse

Does sixaxis emulate your fingers touching the screen or does the game see it as a gamepad? This question has bothered me forever haha

Its both. It allows you to connect a ps3 controller with bluetooth and set it to either emulate touch or as a game pad. To do touch you have to set up things called profiles individually for each app you'll use it for. Like I use it for modern combat 4 and sas3 which neither support game pad.

Moga controller (play store apps and emulator compatible)

I'm not sure if a thread has been opened for this but the Moga Pro Controller is the best thing I've used for an all around android controller.
Can even fit the note 2 for mounting example with a phone.
Comes with Stand for tablets.
Connects using Bluetooth.
Multi device support
Internal battery with over 10 hour battery life (will have to double check but its a lot)
MOGA APP
DONATIONS ACCEPTED. THIS DOES TAKE TIME OUT OF MY DAY. A FEW DOLLARS TO BUY MY LITTLE KID A TOY OR TAKE OUT IS GREATLY APRECIATED

I almost got this but went with the gameklip instead. I have some really nice bluetooth headphones and using this would have made it impossible to use them. I'm glad you like it though.

What sorcery is this? I thought you could only have one bluetooth device connected at a time.
Oh well. I'm still happy with the gameklip.
The Moga app and in game support for many apps sets the Moga apart. Developers for new android games are incorporating the controller in there apps. No game clip or any other gamepad has had this versatility. Not to mention the new Samsung controller is suppose to come out but looks far to bulky.
Video to come shortly....
Stay tuned

Connection issues?
Is anyone else having connection issues with they're Moga Pro?
I just purchased one yesterday and I love it but I'm having some trouble with it and not sure if it's my rom/kernel or what... I'm running ARHD 9.3 and the ElementalX 0.11 kernel. The issues I'm having is that when playing games in Mode A the controller sometimes looses bluetooth connecting and won't reconnect until I exit the game and go back to the Moga app. I also had trouble setting it up to work with Mode A and Mode B. Using the Moga app to setup the controller I choose "Setup Mode A and Mode B" which had me sync Mode B first which worked fine but then when it got to syncing Mode A it just couldn't do it. So I cleared everything and tried just setting up Mode A in the Moga app and that worked fine. It just would not do both at the same time so right now I only had Mode A setup and when I want to use Mode B for emulators and stuff I have to unsync Mode A and then manually setup Mode B through the Android Bluetooth Connection settings which works fine.
BTW I'm using the new HTC One... I just noticed this thread was under the Samsung section. I was linked here from a post in the HTC One section.

Moga Pro by far. It has mode A and B. One for Play Store Games and one for Emulators. The Pocket only has one mode. The Pro also feels better.

I had the HTC One but I did not have a chance to test the Moga Controller on it. It may be the phone and Moga needs an update. If you have a custom Rom and Kernel it is highly likely that could be causing your issue. Do a Backup of your ROM and try Stock to test and see.
Glad I got rid of the HTC One I had because there was a dead pixel and I even still can not find the stock HTC One Rom

It's a bit cheaper than the gameklip and ps3 controller together. I think the ps3 controller wins though.

For Root users I agree, but ONLY for Root users. The Moga is a better situation for Android going forward.

ps3 controller and s4?

Hey, so just now i got my OTG cable from samsung, and i connected my controller and i use padkey settings app to use the controlelr with, but the app nor games will recognize the right stick... does that only work if the phone is rooted?
Cause i do not want to root my phone at all :/
If you don't root then your options are limited. Using the otg cable you may or may not have all the features you need.
For example, Dead trigger works perfectly via otg, as does Bards Tale. Modern Combat 4 on the other hand both analog sticks don't work and the buttons aren't mapped.
You need to Root and get Sixaxis and everything pretty much works because you can map touch screen inputs to the controller.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Ok cause if sixaxis is the same as the one on iphone is then is it so that for example in fps it doesnt auto turn around when you hold the right stick to either sides?
