hey guys i know there are many ics custom roms flying around, but i like to have a flshable zip/ruu of original stock ics. where can i find one? or any body got one? no problem if itz a beta/leaked rom. pls help.
there is NO stock ICS yet
all these ICS are complied and based on AOSP
you could say that , all these AOSP ICS are beta/leaked ICS ROM.

Is currently probably the closest you'll get to stock ics.
You can also try Koush: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356228
Which is meant to be the beginning of CyanogenMod 9
They are both currently still in the testing phase and function similarly
Hi! i am a newbie here on xda, i just want to ask if there will be any support for porting ICS on X8 with locked bootloader and stock kernel? i have read many thread and reviews regarding those rom and they require unlocked bootloader to install custom kernels like nAa.. will somebody be kind to make one for stock kernels.. i love my x8 and i still want to have it updated as possible.
Thanks.
Hi Devs,
I was looking for a good custom ICS ROM for my galaxy R.
My only concern with the stock ICS ROM is that i dont have the option to switch from 2g(GSM Only) to 3g(GSM/WCDMA Only). I used to have this option in gingerbread and i still wonder why it has been removed in ICS
I tried installing Mazel II ICS ROM, never worked couldnt even use for a minute as i was getting android.process stopped.
Tried MIUI just the same never worked.
Now i am looking for a a better and stable ICS custom ROM. Or a fix for stock ICS ROM regarding the 2g to 3g toggle.
PLS SUGGEST
Thanks
Galaxperia
Because of the controversy and arguments they inevitably generate, "best ROM" threads are prohibited on XDA. Thread closed.
I am rooted and unlocked and was hoping someone could offer an opinion on which kernel would be best to run with stock JB rom. I would like the option to OC and as far as I can tell there are 2 main kernels; KToonsez and Leankernel. Are there any more? Either way, which would be most highly recommended? I realize what one thinks works best might not be the case for another, but I am open to suggestions. I also found the Siyah kernel but I think it only works on international versions.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
There is another TW JB kernel in the original development section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063058. There is also Faux kernel for TW JB here:http://faux.androidro.ms/d2tmo/beta/d2tmoatt-faux123-kernel-tw-015b03.zip. Here is the homepage for it: https://plus.google.com/u/0/109078966818501160423/posts/ahiHu35k2p5, and the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785466. It is supposed to work fine on Verizon. I haven't used any of them to be able to offer any experiences.

FYI there is no such thing as a good ROM for overclocking as it is the kernel not the ROM that does the overclocking. All the kernels are in the original android development section and are on the first page of that section.

I am running Liquidsmooth's RC1. They are releasing their update soon,
Does anyone have a favorite TW based ROM? I am looking for one based on 4.2. I also heard the international 4.2.1 has been leaded. Has anyone tried creating a ROM based on this release? The TW ROMs just look nices than the AOSP despite all the unnecessary features that are loaded.
The international version of the s 3 has different hardware then the US versions making the leak difficult to port. Also there isn't any TW 4.2 ROMs for this phone as Samsung is working on 4.1.2. Lastly we at XDA have realized that what works for one person doesn't work for others so it is best to check out the ROMs yourself and see what works best for YOU.
