WiFi Key Recovery - General Topics

WiFi Key Recovery lists all the passwords for WiFi networks you have stored on your device. Android lets you change the stored passwords for WiFi networks via the Wireless & Networks settings on the main Android menu, but you can't view the currently saved passwords. This is a pity, especially if you've forgotten a password and want to connect to the same network with another computer or device.
After you open the app, it lists the info for each stored WiFi network. You'll see the SSID, PSK or WEP key, and the security or algorithm type. It also lists login credentials for enterprise networks and you can export a text file of the details to your SD card or even share it.
Needs rooted devices for this APP
Get it from google play as well.

[Q] automatic login to wifi.

Hi,
At my university, after connecting to the campus wifi network, the browser instantaneously is redirected to a website where I need to log in before I can surf the web.
Is there an app for android that allows me to save my username and password so that i automatically sign in when i connect to the network?
Thanks
//I dont know how to describe it

if so how?
pls help me here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11344919#post11344919 post#38
thanks
it seems that the browser on my phone can remenber the user name and password automatically...
Dolphin browser has an add-on called "Dolphin Password Manager" that does this.
Yeah, the password manager rocks!
is there an alternate method? id like to use the stock browser if possible
Wondering this too
you can try easy wifi
There is Open Wifi Login on the Android Market. It will save your username and password. It will automatically log in when the wifi network is detected. I used this at my school and it worked well.
It did change is name to Wifi Web Login which is paid app.
I am wondering about this too. When at my school, I connect to a wifi, I have to open the browser and enter my username and pass, otherwise connecting to wifi is useless. I want to make it automatic with password already saved within.

Q1)may i know where we can see the stored wifi passwords in android device?.....
Q2)do u think i dun need root access and also can retrieve wifi password located at different location?

[Q] WiFi Key Recovery (needs root)

** You need root to use this application.
** You need to have connected to the network in the past.
** This app cannot “hack” into an unknown/new network.
Have you ever forgotten the password of your home WiFi network, or the one you setup for your parents a few months back?
This application will help you recover the password of a wireless network you have connected to with your device in the past.
You can then either tap on an entry to copy it, or export the list to SD, or share it using the standard Android sharing facilities.
It does not crack the network, or use the MAC/SSID address to deduce the password. It simply reads it from the device itself.
Essentially it parses the wpa_supplicant file

how to see wifi password

i know the wifi modem user id and password. i can open it. but when i open the advanced wifi security settings, there i am getting some dots in the password feild. there is no option to see the password. i want to know how to decode that password. please help me regarding this
Hello there!
As far as I know you can't really access the WiFi key in plain text without having a rooted device.
If your device is rooted then there are several free apps on the Play Store which will list your saved WiFi connections with plain text keyphrases.
Cheers.
Root: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
I am asking to see it in the modem. Not in the mobile. When I open the advanced wifi settings in the modem confirmation settings, it is showing the dots in the text field. I want to know how to decode that password.
And also as you said, my mobile was rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I tried all the wifi password applications to know the password of the connected wifi. But none of the applications didn't work.

New App for Android "Wi-Fi password reminder"

Remember, manage and save your passwords of previously connected WiFi networks
If You often forget your passwords from their wi-fi wireless networks , password Reminder from Wi-Fi will help You with this. Truly he can only work, if your device has ROOT access or otherwise administrator rights.
The app allows you to :
- get a list stored on the device Wi-Fi networks and passwords
- copy the password of the network you selected to the clipboard
- send to other apps text data : the network name (SSID) and password
- create image to encrypt the connection settings Wi-Fi network in QR code
- quickly find a known network from the list
- quickly connect to already known network
- make a backup copy of the history to a file wifi_pass_export.csv
- import history from file wifi_pass_export.csv
- add or remove your access point in the story
Once again we remind you that to work it is necessary that the device was ROOT rights or the super user (Super User). Usually ROOT tool hackers use to work with functions of Linux.
The app is not a burglar closed wireless networks, does not pick passwords to the routers. It is completely legal and allows you to work with the already known Wi-Fi passwords. All the available wifi networks are shown in a list, sorted in alphabetic order.
If You accidentally delete a network from the device,
on the "History" tab You can see the previously connected network.
History is updated automatically each time you start the application.
Now all passwords will be recovered in one place!
