Thanks although i have the mpai royality model, and i ve sent it back for replace as it was completely unflashable, bricked

Which phone? Is it rooted?
And many more gazillion questions that you need to answer.
Go to the section of your phone and read the guides.

You might have to root your android first, because mostly a custom rom required a rooted phone.

Please extract the stock ROM from this device. This is the first step towards a custom ROM.
You can find several articles on the web on how to take a backup of the stock ROM and attach it here.

I found HERE some custom ROMs for Gionee P2. There are not any feedbacks about so I recommend you take all precautions (backup everything)
