what is the performance like
To me its just as fast, if not faster than the stock launcher but I hate the app menu launcher on the side and this one is in the middle. Plus it has a lot of features that the stock launcher and many others do not have.

Just updated with a cooler Andy style launcher and sweeter delete animation, take a look!
I like the looks of the main icons at the bottom (messaging, phone, etc) Is that the way it comes or did you change them?
Also, I know that you can also download the Xperia wallpapers and widgets. Are these included in here?
Digging the changes on this. Only thing missing is vertical scrolling in the app drawer.

Thanks. Almost all the widgets on yours are what is included in another xperia launcher on here. The main one that is missing is the weather app. I love that one, but you do not have it.
I am not on CleanRom...
I like the horizontal (left to right) scrolling like they have in the regular xperia launcher. Just my 2 cents.
The only other thing I wish any of the xperia launchers had was the ability to continue scroll through the app drawer....

Edit: Try this weather widget,,,its not mine and I have some problems with the alarm, but I have never used a widget for that,,let me know.
Here is another one not mine I just themed it a little, it is labelled home and the weather widget below it works perfectly, only thing is you lose some customization but i can live with out it.

Yeah I saw all those posts in Darchs thread and wanted to share but did not want to clog up what has been a very productive Dev thread.
I agree Home++ is the best home replacement for 1.6+ devices. I was happy with GDE while on 1.5, but Home++ is in another league. In the market search Home++ Beta.

Its called weather forecast widget. It is also by Koxx, just search his name in the market and you will find all the widgets.
One of the things I really like about Home++ is the ability to use the home screen in landscape mode. Other home replacements I have used also had this feature but did not scale widgets properly. Home++ seems to do a good job with the widgets I have been using.

Digital Clock Widget
I really like the clear theme without the task bar, but miss the task bars functionality. I was able to make a clear task bar in 1.5, but the wallpaper was cropped too short (black task bar). Hopefully that is not a problem with 2.1/Home++ as I am going to try to make a clear task bar for my home screen.
Does anyone know if the task bar is gonna give me hell if I try to change the text white?

READ: This was originally a theme called sticker album and will show in market and ADW as 'Sticker Album' DO NOT install updates for sticker album that market finds or it will go back to the sticker album theme which is totally diffrent.
Also some icons [specifically Timescape & Mediascape] I could not get to change in ADW so have also attached them in a rar file below if you want to make shortcuts on your home with them to match the other icon using any apps like Better Cut or Desktop Visualizer... Hope you like check screen shots below

Thanks, I can't remember having to sign it before which is why I was wondering why it wouldn't now, but used the edited signing tool found HERE, and it installed. Looks much better now with your icon go3asy, thanks!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have a "stock" rooted D2G and use LauncherPro. Is there an app or trick or something else that will allow you to put a two line name under an app icon on a homescreen or make the character lengths consistent?
For example, under my Folder Organizer icon, it says "Folder O" with the O cut in half. What's interesting is Timeriffic (which I don't even use, but notice the amount of characters) has the full name under its icon.
BTW I really like my new font and rather not change it and I know I can just have icons with no text, but like the text, but not with a bunch of partial names.
So is there such thing or something that will equalize the character playing field since I can easily adjust names in Desktop VisualizeR?

Thanks. Does it really have all those capabilities? Reason being, I literally tried ADW a half dozen different times and I really liked some of the features, but I really didn't like the dock bar and that it doesn't run nearly as smoothly as LP does on my D2G for some reason.
Can you post a screen shot of your problem? It would be easier for me to understand... and adw is awesome.. it has many customisations...
You can also change the density of your screen to make it a little more compact.. so that every thing fits into it....

Ok... now i see whats your prob.. i think there is nothing that can give a double line icon name.. but there is an option in ADW EX LAUNCHER... under UI SETTINGS-> ICONS -> select new icons.. ->. Go to icon settings.. there you can modify the size of icon and text lable of it... i would also recommend you to change your dextop columns from 5 to 4.. maybe i would bring a change, as it would get more space..!

Cool isint it? Like in the pic..one icon has full name of OI FILE MANGER which as you can see ia half cut... and in the other i have edited the name to just FM..! Hope you got my point..!

Thanks. FYI I just changed from 4 to 5 columns and there wasn't much difference in the labels. I guess I'll either have to wait for LP to allow such customization OR I'll have to live with it.

I get your point and it is nice that you can edit labels and icons like that in ADW, but unfortunately the dock bar flexibility and more importantly the fact that ADW is not nearly as smooth on my phone as LP, keeps me with LP.

Thanks. I mentioned that in the OP, but it still locks me into a certain amount of characters and a second label line would make my homescreeens that much nicer.
Did a quick search seems like no one have made a thread on this.
Attached is what is believed to be, the new SE launcher to come with the 2.3.4 update for the 2011 range Xperia handsets,
which is now also working on X10 with the 2.3.3 update
the new launcher feels smoother, with ability to uninstall apps from app drawer and theme functions (however no themes are provided by SE at this stage)
*EDIT - the power control widget is SwitchPro widget, clock widget is SimiClock. both available from Market.
*NEW VERSION 2.0.A.0.22 launcher:

I can confirm even with stock rom only, X10 feels as smooth as Arc, just install it over the existing launcher. all your widgets and desktop config will be kept.

Lol. Tried it on LG O1. Works nicely.. only problems in app drawer.. the arrow icon in the lower left corner gives a FC...

It's quite a lot faster and smoother.
The option of hiding apps in the drawer is there too (but only for installed apps and not system apps).

Its pretty cool but useless lol. I bet SE spent more time on making stuff like this than delivering our GB update...typical
also discovered that when you shake the phone after you pinch zoomed your widgets and stuff they shake around too
Hey, just a quick question. What's the difference between the 2.3.4 launcher and the 2.3.3 launcher? As you mentioned, the power toggle and clock aren't SE widgets.
The pinch overview mode comes with the 2.3.3 update.

I have always been a fan of other home launchers like launcher pro and go launcher.
What i have noticed though is that they are not "tabled optimized".
With that i mean that you still have the dock like you have on your phone and the icons and widgets are much smaller.
Is there a way to get one of them working the same way as the default launcher?
I like the sizes and i don't need the dock, only thing i do want is the extra options which the alternative launchers provide and i do believe they are smoother than the default launcher.

i often get that when i wake my TF that it laggs al little or needs to reload all the widgets and icons.
I want to see if this is due to the default launcher by using a different launcher.
But all the other launchers have smaller icons, have the dock, have other widget sizes, and the app list is ugly!
so far i tried LP, ADW, GO.

As far as I know you can't adgust the size of the icons on the dock. I also wanted to do this but was unable to. As for resizing all other icons, go into the ADWLauncher EX settings > Icons > New Icons Settings > Icon Size and you will be given a slider to adjust the icon sizes.
Most widgets can be resized using ADWLauncher EX. There are some that will not resize despite what you do.

Not the answer i was hoping for
so i guess i will have to wait until one of them makes a tablet version the wait i want it
or seem to find out why my launcher lags or needs to reload everything.
Maybe its prime.
I use desktop visualizer app to resize my icons. You can download PNG files from Google or Bing to create custom icons as well. Works well with adw ex. You can have your icon take up the whole screen if you really want to.

ADW EX has The ability to use larger icons. Its in asd settings/ui/icons. Then just check the box for the density hack. Makes the icons the same size as the asus launcher. ADW is what I use and it is a huge improvement over the stock launcher IMHO. For those looking to hide the dock and expand the desktop area it does that to. You just need to select that in the main dock settings, then in the new hidden dock settings disable that to and presto no more dock.

I personally like the hidden dock. I just swipe down and it goes away, swipe down again and it comes right back. Kind of like touchwiz mini apps.

With Folder Organizer app, you won't ever need to go to app list. Just add the container labels to the Home screen or notification area. App Organizer is an alternative from the same developer.

Where did you get this info? Their homepage and FAQ clearly states it's not compatible with tablets.

i tried it out its not that great. It lags realy badly and also costs 15$
Having purchased SPB shell 3d for my phone, I've tried it on my Asus as well. Performance is OK but I don't like that you can see parts of the adjacent screens. Not running it right now on either phone or tablet.
After it's last update, I think ADW blows everything else out of the water. It's really nice.

I don't have any lag issues with ADW EX on my Transformer. It makes it as smooth as (if not smoother) than iOS... I recently showed and iPad 2 owner my Transformer and he absolutley loved it - couldn't believe how smooth everything was...
